I go to Caliber for all my car repairs. When my civic was rear-ended at a red light, I had the car towed directly to Caliber and they appraised it for way more than I thought it was worth since it was completely totaled. They made the whole process SUPER easy and even had Enterprise set me up with a rental car right there at the office. My new car was side swiped on the freeway and Caliber took care of that also. It took a little longer than I thought but I'm glad they took they extra time for the new paint job to dry since it rained for 2 days after I picked it up. I took my car here because it was recommended by my insurance company. I was initially nervous because I love my car neurotically and had read some (not-so-great) reviews here on yelp. After being rear-ended by another driver, I wanted my bumper to be fixed completely and to look brand new. It should be noted that price was not an issue for me since the person who hit me was paying for damages. I worked with Raymond and AAA to fix my Audi. They fixed my car beyond expectation and had it done within three days. Raymond kept me updated constantly on what was happening with my car and when it was expected to be finished. Getting my car fixed after being in accident was made easy by Caliber Collision. The insurance set up my appointment and they were able to get me in fairly quickly. They took care of all the paperwork and even submited a claim on our carseat for us. Our rental car was there waiting for us when we needed it which was a bonus. I opted to bring my truck here for repairs. While the representative was inspecting my truck, I looked over it with him and then identified some of the items that were damaged. I explained that I had to straighten one of the supports out myself because the hood wouldn't stay closed. The representative said that I should not have done that (hello genius, I couldn't drive it home without the hood flying open). He explained that it could appear that I modified the front end. He stated, "usually the plastic grill will break in this type of impact and yours is not broken". That would seem to be something positive however, in this case he made it seem like I was dishonest. I don't appreciate being made out to doing something dishonest. I took my truck to Carlsbad Collision. They took it in without an appointment and were gracious to have my business. read more

I've taken my car to Caliber collision twice now. Both experiences were excellent and far better than my experience at the Toyota collision center. Yes, I know how to drive, but others seem to enjoy hitting me (once I wasn't even in my car!) Simply stated, they quote a decent price and do excellent repairs in a timely fashion. I recently hit a curb with my new Sonata and took it to Caliber Collision after my insurance company had me take it there for a repair estimate. I decided to have them do the repair after also taking it to the dealer and getting a good recommendation. Nathan and the entire staff did everything they could to make sure I was happy. There was a delay because they received the wrong part and had the reorder it. Caliber paid for a rental car because of the delay. The most important part is the quality of the repair. My car is black and I am super obsessive about keeping the paint in top shape. Before I would accept the car I insisted in looking at the paint repair in the sun. I pulled the car into a nearby parking lot and looked at two angled to be sure. The only thing I could find was a light swirl mark which will come out when I wax it. The car drives perfectly as well. I went in there expecting to be disappointed, but came out very happy. I've had it back several weeks now and still happy. read more

Just wanted to say that my experience with Nathan and his team at Caliber couldn't of been better. My wife was involved in a hit and run with our kids. This is too premature to rate. I only just went in there for an estimate. The people were friendly and seemed competent. BUT they didn't have WIFI for their customers, nor any reading material. So here we are in a really frustrating position to begin with, and they make us even more miserable when they tell us they have WiFi but we're not allowed to use it because it would slow down their Internet access. This puts their customers in an even more sour mood. In the absence of WiFi, you'd think they might have reading material. No such luck. Bad, bad business decision. read more

Nearly a year after my unfortunate accident, my husband found himself in the same situation....as the second (non-fault) party in an collision. Damages were not too bad (he drove away from the scene), but the truck needed a new bumper and headlight assembly. Since my visit last year, it seems they now have an Enterprise rep on site. This is great. My husband dropped his car off and they had his rental truck ready as promised. He was in and out of there in a breeze. Nathan handled our claim again and gave us the same professionalism as before. This time, we chose to run the claim trough the other parties insurance (Farmers) instead of ours (USAA). Luckily, this is a preferred shop by both of them because I don't think I would take my car anywhere else. We did get the car a few days later than promised due to damaged parts they kept receiving, but this was no problem, because Nathan kept in contact with me the entire time to manage my expectations. I can't ask for anything more than that. We bought this truck used about a year ago with a busted tailgate (it wouldn't raise or lower). Even though it wasn't related it to the claim, Caliber gave us a very reasonable quote to fix that as well while it was in the shop. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Caliber. read more

I brought my Jeep for repair there a week ago and the employees were not helpful whatsoever and I waited there for almost an hour for enterprise to come pick me up after the receptionist said she called them and after an hour of waiting there with my toddler they said that they never actually called and thought I was renting with someone else even though I specifically told the enterprise representative I was using them. Never again will I waste my money or time with this place and I have filed a complaint with my insurance as in my opinion they do not deserve to be considered a preferred provider. read more

After a minor collision which dented the front hood, we decided to repair the car because the air bag light came on (even though it didn't deploy) and that didn't seem good. Our insurance recommended this place. They said it would take a week, but were unbelievably unresponsive by email to get this initial time estimate. (I suspect the car just sat the whole first week which put the whole job way behind.) When it stretched to 10 days, we objected and they agreed to pay for a rental car. Then it stretched to 3 weeks as they said they had tried three hoods that didn't work. But at least they were a lot more responsive since they were now paying for the rental car. Overall, lots of miscommunication, which wasn't helped by a receptionist who essentially said, "I don't know anything. I just answer the phone." A friend told me that "everyone knows that place is terrible." She, who has been rear-ended twice highly recommends Ocean Paint and Body in Oside. Dave Adams did a great job getting me an upgraded rental and keeping me informed but I saw the car yesterday and it still has defects in the trunk lid , It wasn't even washed.The issue seems to be with the workmanship not the management. read more

I have used Caliber Collision Prior in Poway, when someone hit my car and totaled it. they were really great all the way through the process. This time I got in an accident so I took my car back to them to do the work. They were great and because they are a small location and could not get the job done they towed it for free to the Carlsbad location and Luis has been keeping me updated all the way. When my rental car met the maxed rental coverage, Caliber offered to pay for my rental until the car was completed. Luis even offered to bring the car to me, so I did not have to leave work. If you are involved in an accident, I highly recommend Caliber Carlsbad. Every single person with whom I came in contact was exceptionally friendly, helpful and went out of their way to lessen my shock and horror after the crash. The work that was done in my car- and it was extensive- was just amazing. My car looked absolutely like new and every single tiny bit of damage was repaired. But best of all, they kept me updated constantly as to the approximate amount of time needed to complete the repairs, what they were doing, etc. After I had picked up my car, the backup camera was not working properly. They had me bring it right back in and then they rented me a car (and paid for it!) while they fixed the back up camera. Super nice about it and handled it like the pros they are. BTW, Enterprise is right next door, so it couldn't be more convenient. They took a lot of the pain out of the whole experience. They are great! read more
