We have been vacationing here in Temecula quite a bit lately and we have driven by Cali Kabob several times. We really wanted to try Cali Kabob especially after seeing the great reviews. However, we have tried some restaurants in our area based on the positive reviews and was really disappointed each time. We were hoping that Cali Kabob was as good as we have read about. We ordered several different items (falafel, gyro, chicken kabob, rice, and spicy hummus) and each item was fantastic! The falafel was so delicious and really was the best we ever had. We finished our meal with their baklava and it was amazing. The girl at the counter was so nice and I had a chance to chat with the owner wile we were waiting, and he was so friendly and nice. This place is awesome!!! My girlfriend and I came to check this place out since she lives nearby and was blown away! The food and service was great. We ordered the combo plate to share, and got good food for a great price. We were hungry and forgot to take a picture before we devoured our food. The owner and his family came and checked on us and chatted with us and even gave us a free dessert. If you like to support local businesses and good Mediterranean I'd definitely recommend it. We have eaten at Cali Kabob pretty frequently since they opened and it's quickly become a go-to for a quick and healthy takeout option. I love the chicken kabob and Greek salad as well as the gyro wrap. We ordered a huge family-style order during the holidays when we had a lot of company staying with us and everyone raved that it was the best Mediterranean food they'd had in ages. The garlic sauce was delicious with everything and the rice was so good. My one gripe is that the pita is not made in house and is a bit tough, but they do everything else in-house and really well. The food here is outstanding. The falafel wrap took me back to my childhood. Super fresh ingredients, falafel tasted freshly mixed. Turnip pickles crunchy and sour, just as the should be. Garlic paste was the real thing, not muted down. The beef shawerma might have been the best I've ever had. Juicy, not fatty at all, scrumptious. I was sad when I finished it. We also got the chicken shawerma; I was too full to eat it but hubby said it was delicious and I can't wait to try it later. We came for the Tuesday special where you get 2 wraps for $15. Go! My husband and I came from Pechanga and saw the sign and we ended up going inside to see the menu. The owner and his wife came up to us and said , I know you guys. You used to come to Mr. kabob in Temecula. His the son of the original owner of Mr. Kabob that we always enjoy their food. Now that they are back and a much better version of the original recipe. One of my neighbors posted about this wonderful new Greek restaurant. I was so excited to find something close to home in my neighborhood. I ordered the spicy chicken and beef Shawarma plate, which came with a ton of meat, delicious rice, a side, salad, hummus and pita bread. How I wish this place was closer to where I live! Came here for the first time today to meet up with a friend who lives in the area. So glad I did! I got the fatoush with chicken kabob...wow it was actually good. The salad was perfectly made...I love the pita chips on top and the crunch of their lettuce...it wasn't soggy which is usually a dead giveaway when it's not made fresh. Not this one though...it was literally perfect. The hummus was really good as well. Just like my grandma used to make it. The ambiance was nice...very clean and spacious. I interacted with 3 different employees during my visit and they were genuinely kind. The food came out quickly and it was actually fresh... Cali Kabob food was great! We dropped in for lunch. I had the gyros sandwich combo. Pita was fresh and the entire thing was delicious. The wife had the Greek salad with gyros meat. The salad was amazing and enormous. My wife loved it but couldn't eat it all. So... We get to split the salad for dinner. The owners are a young couple who charming and dedicated to giving you a great meal. We enjoyed talking with them. Cali Kabob is just South of Pechanga Casino in Temecula and is well worth the short drive. The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating... We most strongly recommend Cali Kabob. It's our first time here and it won't be the last! From the minute we walked in till the time we got done everything was amazing! We got greeted right away by the cashier/host/server. Hannah did it all. The food was superb! Some places the meat is very dry, the chicken and the beef kabob was super moist and well seasoned here. We especially loved their garlic sauce and that's probably the most important for us. It's a plus that they have drive thru. The ambiance was great too! It wasn't too loud and it's always nice to sit in a place where it's well maintained and cozy. Will definitely be regulars for this place. To top it off the cook (might have been the owner) even offered us some free baklava and that was so delicious that I needed to take it home so I can have it with my coffee. Ive been here too many times to count its almost embarrassing. Im so happy I found a healthy and tasty go to restaurant for me and hubby. I am obsessed with their salad dressing and garlic spread.
