I love a nice grocerie store. Roots is so much more. The exterior signage is beautiful, the one stop local in the outer band of the Promenade is great. It's once you step in you see it's something special. There's plenty of stock including produce, a nice butcher counter, and we'll stocked dairy and grocery isles. A big chunk of the space is set aside for dining. Good thought except it was empty when I stopped by around 2:30 in the afternoon. This might have something to do the lack luster salad bar and @ 10.95 a pound 0I found no reason for greens and the other things offered. The hot bar had much more action and looked pretty good if not just a little picked over. Most of that must have been to go as the cafe/dining area remained dark and empty. I like coming here because it feels like a combo of Whole Foods and Sprouts in one. High quality organic products for sure.The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff are genuinely friendly, always willing to help you find something. One of their top items is the freshly made organic juices, especially the Green Vitality Juice. It's bright, refreshing, and tastes like it was made just minutes before you picked it up. Their produce section is fresh, looks vibrant, and by reading their labels, looks to be thoughtfully sourced. Service here is consistently great. Cashiers are quick and polite. Quick stop at Organic Roots today. Decided to pick up Foragers Cashew Yogurt, Chicken and Vegetable Tamales, Koia Protein Drinks, also Tiramisu (in a jar). The Deli Department was busy. It was nice seeing Irene and Mateo. Then, I had a taste for the Tiramisu cake in the Bakery Department. There were several people waiting to order. Customers stood nearby for pick-up. I notice only one employee working the Bakery section. This young lady was so organized and pleasant with the customers. Now, a few people seemed a little tight lip about the wait. She handled orders for pastries, chocolate and coffee smoothly. I was determined to stay in line, for the Tiramisu cake. Also, to commend Ms Sienna on her work ethic. I've been coming to this location for 9 years. There's been changes throughout and especially now. One thing I found interesting is how many kind individuals end up leaving this place as employees. When I've met two outside of this place working somewhere else I always ask, why did you leave. The way they treat their employees is mind blowing because it seems like a nice calm place but apparently they put so much pressure and overwork people without consideration. One stated after years of working here pay was horrid. In addition, if you get overpriced items REPORT this store TO WEIGHTS AND MEASURES. I have noticed as a prior auditor that huge price differences are all over this store. I mean, huge compared to the companies original price for the same item they are UPSELLING, which warrants a hefty FINE (or many) PER OCCURRENCE. There are smaller businesses in town near hobby lobby who curate organic products with more consideration for the consumer not price gouging. There are so many things wrong with this place that I have now noticed it's sad. Greenwashing the food bar, more products with bad ingredients being brought in and many good companies removed from the shelves. Many knowledgeable employees no longer here and the cycling of employees is a huge red flag. Although they are improving their interior, mold was thriving in their old bathroom and who knows where else there was water damage issues exposing everyone to environmental toxins, mind you, with open food bars. Organic Roots reminds me of a cross between a mini Whole Foods and Sprouts. There is lots of food items, both hot and packaged, along with household/personal type items. Prices range from in line to rather full. What you are paying for, is the organic label, which is never inexpensive in my opinion. We looked around and ended buying some breakfast (see photos). Everything was good, but slightly bland. Service at the sandwich/warm food bar was attentive, but understaffed. read more

The manager(s) who were a blonde man I believe to be named Cody and an Asian woman whose name I can't recall were pretty rude on separate occasions although the other staff was kind. I come here often and usually love it but today I bought a dose wellness shot for my husband and we he was going to take it he realized the whole bottle was extremely cracked. So I called the store to let them know they could potentially be selling glass wellness shots that are cracked. So someone wouldn't actually swallow glass. They lady on the phone switched me to the manager where I told her what had happened, as I was holding the bottle telling her the glass bottle exploded in my hand. And then the manger hung up on me. This was EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude. Usually the people who work there are very nice and helpful but maybe they have gotten too relaxed or under new management. This store has many really healthy options. That being said... it is extremely overpriced. I saw brussels for almost $8.00 a pound. I realize this store has rent, tax, and employees to pay... but dang! That is ridiculous. I came looking for tumeric root and found it. They are charging $16.99 per pound. I still bought it but I am mad about it. I intend on taking it home and propagating the roots to grow my own. That is absolutely highway robbery! The store is very clean and organized. STAY AWAY!!! I would suggest you shop elsewhere. I spent $105 in this store yesterday on the third trip to this store. I am now hour's away in the RV. 4 points of blueberries were rotten. She said she'd speak to the manager and told me they refuse a refund unless I bring in the blueberries and the receipt. I offered to email and text the receipt and she refused because we "have no way to enter your credit card number" which is total baloney. I asked to speak to the manager and then she said "I am the manager". That was a quick promotion. I stated a refund or a 1 star review and was told "go ahead and do it". This review is for the fresh juice bar. This is my first time trying it and the young man was very nice and asked if I had any questions. I asked which juice would have a lower calorie count and higher nutritional value. He wasn't sure and a older shorter lady came over and said we know nothing about any of that, read the ingredients. I did not need an exact calorie count, just something healthful for them to recommend. Then when I got my drink it was overflowing all over the cup, so I asked for a napkin and she took her rag that she was wiping the counter with and ran it around my cup and lifted my lid and around the rim of my cup. It was obviously dirty because she was wiping up the counter, and i'm not sure if there were chemicals on it. Also, the juice is room temp. It would be awesome if they chilled the fruits and veggies before juicing. Do not recommend would not come back. read more

Clearly their mistake but they flatly refused to correct their mistake without a receipt, even when I showed them the back to back errors on the bank transactions reflected on my phone. I had to go to the trouble of filing a claim with my bank to get the erroneous $8.99 charge credited back to me. Very frustrating when sold a bad rotten product from vitamins and there's nothing they can do except for refer you to the manufacturer who probably will not refund me is what I am told. How do you sell bad products to your consumer and do not make an exception for an exchange, store credit at the very least. They will not return unless it hasn't been opened well.. how did I know it was rotten? Would they have put it back on the shelf ? Then the next consumer purchases a bad item? Vitamins especially probiotics are very expensive and it's not the consumers fault for picking up a bad product. I know how these products come in via crates and if they are not kept refrigerated and put away right away they will go bad. This is not the way to maintain customer satisfaction, I don't take this lightly as I am a single mom on a single income and there's nothing this business can do. It's gross especially since I spend a lot of money and gave roots the majority of my business compared to other competitor health food stores. Unfortunately I will not be unless I absolutely have to. Organic Roots has a special place in my heart. This place is so freakin awesome! They have anything and everything organic you can think of lol There's a burrito bar where you can build your own burrito! How cool is that? At least they had that pre-covid. I'm not sure if that is still available. But the burrito bar was so great! Sandwich bar also, with the same idea. Build your sandwich however you want it. Smoothie bar.... Do you see where I'm going with this? They have everything. lol You know how sometimes you go grocery shopping when you are hungry and end up buying a bunch of stuff that you didn't even need? This is an awesome place for health-body food items. Please don't come here for the prices, they are not the lowest. But they have products and food choices that are good for you. I need to go back to try a few things, a bit challenging since it is located a hour away. But I fell in love with their Juice bar. I had a bowl called Something Nerd (I don't recall) but it was the best I've ever had. I even bought the local honey that was in the bowl (bananas, strawberry, etc)...just fantastic!
