Organic Roots has a special place in my heart. This place is so freakin awesome! They have anything and everything organic you can think of lol There's a burrito bar where you can build your own burrito! How cool is that? At least they had that pre-covid. I'm not sure if that is still available. But the burrito bar was so great! Sandwich bar also, with the same idea. Build your sandwich however you want it. Smoothie bar.... Do you see where I'm going with this? They have everything. lol You know how sometimes you go grocery shopping when you are hungry and end up buying a bunch of stuff that you didn't even need? Well, you can come to Organic Roots for a snack, smoothie, sandwich, or burrito, before you start your grocery shopping. So, you can focus and don't have to worry about getting hangary :) Such a great concept! Or if you just want some yummy foods and want to come with some friends. This place makes grocery shopping actually fun! lol Plus they have plenty of organic, gluten-free, and vegan items. read more

This was my first time in here since we relocated to the area a few years ago. I was really impressed with this store as I love all things wellness. My excitement was heightened by the many options available here. A full smoothie/juice bar, hot bar/kitchen, bakery , salad bar and more. The shelves are fully stocked with a lot of the well known healthy and organic brands. Employees were attentive and helpful taking time to check to make sure I had what I needed. I ordered a mango green smoothie and a tofu eggless wrap. The food did not wow me but I am going to try some other options and update this review at a later date. read more

My two year old loves going into Organic Roots for smoothies. We have made it our Saturday morning tradition to go in for smoothies. He's turned into a picky eater lately and refuses to have veggies so I tend to grab a green machine smoothie for him which he absolutely loves! I also like to purchase produce at Organic Roots because it's great quality. I must buy my beets and kale here for sure. Staff has always been very friendly and even though the juice bar tends to get busy at times, I've always received exceptional service. read more

Recently picked up two different batches of fresh kale, potatoes, & a glowing bottle of one of my favorite reds (the coveted Montepulciano) @ this local haunt. I have driven by it but never went in, due to my avoidance of all mall-related traffic. To my delight, it is like a mini Whole Foods (I am always complaining about how Temecula could really use a Whole Foods), with fresh produce, a smoothie bar, lots of organic products for skin and bath, in addition to the cute little deli section. I saw there was a Kale pesto white cheddar pasta sauce that I may get on a future trip. Made a simple dinner with the ingredients I bought, adding it to ground turkey, chicken, and red onion that I already had in my fridge. I think I walked around the store just in awwww- that I had found my local oasis. What a fun place to gather fresh seasonal foods, while exploring other products for health and fitness. My cashier helped me sign up for their points or system as it was my first time there. Sorry, forgot his name but super friendly with bleached hair and told me he liked my tan LOL. We both agreed the Montepulciano is a good find. Definitely come here on a weekday if you can - so you can park peacefully & avoid the masses. read more

I enjoy coming here usually for a healthy lunch or a healthy grocery shopping. This store is always clean and organized. The staff is friendly and welcoming. usually when I come here to shoo , I come for the hot ready to eat food or sandwich area. The food here is delicious, you can also order healthy smoothies or natural juices. The best part is that shopping here is not expensive. read more

Check the picture out. $8 for a large healthy smoothie?!?!? I feel like they haven't changed prices since the 90s! Nice market. Lots of organic and health related stuff as the name suggests. Clean and well laid out. Delicious looking meat and produce section though I only got a smoothie. Friendly staff throughout as well. I come to Temecula monthly and this place is a few minutes from my work here and I am always looking for healthy options for food and excited to come here in the future. I was charged twice for a single protein shake. Clearly their mistake but they flatly refused to correct their mistake without a receipt, even when I showed them the back to back errors on the bank transactions reflected on my phone. I had to go to the trouble of filing a claim with my bank to get the erroneous $8.99 charge credited back to me. WARNING: If you buy anything, even as small as a piece of fruit at Roots, you'd better be sure to ask for a receipt, because their no refund policy defies common sense. read more

Very frustrating when sold a bad rotten product from vitamins and there's nothing they can do except for refer you to the manufacturer who probably will not refund me is what I am told. How do you sell bad products to your consumer and do not make an exception for an exchange, store credit at the very least. They will not return unless it hasn't been opened well.. how did I know it was rotten? Would they have put it back on the shelf ? Then the next consumer purchases a bad item? Vitamins especially probiotics are very expensive and it's not the consumers fault for picking up a bad product. I know how these products come in via crates and if they are not kept refrigerated and put away right away they will go bad. This is not the way to maintain customer satisfaction, I don't take this lightly as I am a single mom on a single income and there's nothing this business can do. It's gross especially since I spend a lot of money and gave roots the majority of my business compared to other competitor health food stores. Unfortunately I will not be unless I absolutely have to. Very disappointed read more

I really love this store. I've been going here for 14 years and it really was a wonderful resource when I was rebuilding my health and learning how to live cleanly. I love that all the beef is grass fed grass finished. I love getting stew bones for broth here. read more

Vegan and non vegan fresh groceries. Local business. Nice employees that are helpful.

Roots is great. I mostly shop there for their meat. I often order a leg of lamb and Joe cuts and wraps it to perfection. I have to say that the way he wrapped my ground beef today was wonderful too. He's considerate, helpful and funny. I also had the experience today of conversing with James, the produce manager. I asked about grapes and he gave me the run down on where he orders his organic grapes. He's very knowledgable, dedicated and enthusiastic about his work. read more

Best meat counter! Joe does an excellent job managing the meat dept. by bringing the absolute best meats in town. The quality is as good as what you get at a five star resort or steakhouse. The selection is very good and the service is top notch! We love shopping here because the overall service is very good and everyone is friendly and very helpful. Thank you Organic Roots!! read more

This is an awesome place for health-body food items. Please don't come here for the prices, they are not the lowest. But they have products and food choices that are good for you. I need to go back to try a few things, a bit challenging since it is located a hour away. But I fell in love with their Juice bar. I had a bowl called Something Nerd (I don't recall) but it was the best I've ever had. I even bought the local honey that was in the bowl (bananas, strawberry, etc)...just fantastic! Excited about taking another trip out there. Has a Sprouts-LomaLindMarket-Trader Joes vibe... but still uniquely their own. Don't think...go! read more

Good selection of organic non gmo products. Good deserts that are surprisingly gluten free. I was quite surprised. The staff was also very caring after my daughter fainted inside after the blood drive. They were genuinely concerned and cared. Great business. I love supporting them. Customer for life. read more

This place was a pleasant surprise! I was driving through and wanted a green juice. I called in my order. The girl was nice over the phone and suggested a popular green juice. To be honest I can't remember exactly what was in the juice or the name but I know it had celery, paisley....it was one of the popular picks. It was very good! Very fresh! Ever since then, I've been wanting to make a trip back there. I briefly took a quick walk around the store. It reminded me of a mom and pop store similar to Sprouts. They had a of organic products. I'm hoping when I'm in the neighborhood again to swing by there to get another juice and buy some of their products. read more

Liked the shopping customer service but the gentleman at the food counter was very rude. I ordered some jackfruit tacos and when I got there, he was already enjoyed just blaming people for his bad day. The store has a lot of vitamins and is great for those with dietary restrictions. read more

I'm a long time customer of roots and expect check out clerks to make pricing mistakes, however, if pointed out the pricing error I expect to have it corrected. Last week I was charged $11 for asparagus I didn't purchase, I called roots the next day and notified them then a couple days later brought back the receipt. The manager said it was not the policy to correct the mistake; they made me feel as if I was a thief. They were the one trying to steal from me. How insulting. Check your receipt at the time of purchase read more

I'll start by saying that this place is absolutely amazing. First off. They have one of the best juice smoothie bars I've been to yet and I've been a lot. They also have hot food bar similar to like Barrons or something. Just phenomenal organic made food. As I was leaving this time, I noticed they have a yogurt, fruit, fresh fruit like little bar thing also making your own little yogurt dish. Blown away what really caught my attention about this place is the employees are absolutely the most friendliest like driven to make sure you're having a good day people. and not to mention (guys) side note for the guys here, the girls in there are Top notch :-) so happy you came in. It's just really a great experience. Honestly, out of every place I've ever reviewed. I would have to give this business my best stars. They've got it going on. Bomb bomb! Oh. And to the readers, you're welcome. Enjoy read more

Such a hoity-toity, nose in the air type of market. I've never felt like I belonged in here and they always have the most unhelpful workers on the floor. We walked in circles for a hot minute looking for an item with all these kids just talking amongst each other while trying their best to ignore you. I only run in here for honey because browsing for anything else gives me anxiety just by the unfriendly nature of the establishment. The cashiers are usually always nice though, glad I don't come in here often! read more

Instead of apologizing for the way the employee spoke to me & my child the owner decided it was a smart move to try to cover their backs and say there was a discrepancy between my story & theirs. I would LOVE to show the VOICE recording. It doesn't matter if my child accidentally picked up a cake or even mishandled it, THE WAY this employee spoke to me should have never happened. It says a lot about an employee/ business owner. I'll make sure a lot of people know about this buisness and they way they treat people & don't shop there. read more

First place I go to in order to find an uncommon ingredient for a recipe or to shop for loved ones with certain dietary needs. The store itself is very clean and beautiful, the employees are always accommodating and helpful in my experience, the meat department particularly. Very friendly cashiers as well. We always stop by the juice department on our way out as it's a great value and delicious. Great local store to support, I highly recommend! read more

Organic Roots is my 'one stop shop' for my nutrition needs. I take advantage of their 'grass fed to finish' beef and dairy products. I also purchase my poultry and pork at their butcher shop. The produce is also organic and fresh. After my three times a week tennis sessions I stop by for a protein shake at their Juice bar. The made to order sandwich bar and soup bar are often my lunch option. Of course, I often shop at the hot food bar to take home my evening meal. I can't forget how comprehensive and fresh their salad bar is. I often take advantage of their cool and clean dining area. Oh, I also find their products are competitively and fairly priced. The ambiance of Organic Roots is that the goal of the store is to promote the health of their customers. Associates are always professional and friendly. Organic Roots creates an atmosphere that promotes my almost daily use of their goods and services. Yay! read more

Had a good option for different kinds of drinks. I grabbed a can of mushroom soda that tasted pretty good. They had a few different alcohol alternative beverages that I have found hard to find at a normal store. Some of the items seemed a bit pricey, but that's probably to be expected at a store like this. Recommend getting the pistachio fudge. To die for. read more

A small whole foods in the heart of Temecula. This was intimate and inciting. There is ample parking and as you enter there are hand sanitizers that smell good. The space is small with high ceilings so you don't feel cramped. I like the size and you can find everything you need. It's like whole foods and sprouts had a baby this is the place. They have unique products and price point is affordable for some things and the exotic fruits are more on the high end. Staff is friendly and able to help when you look lost or new in their store. The store is clean and smells good. It's organized, has a small cute bakery and around the corner of the bakery is an area you can eat. I like the wall where you can find dry grains, nuts, fruits, powders and spices. I always enjoy exploring neighborhood markets globally. You can always find unique gift items to give or eat. Enjoy exploring this neighborhood gem. read more

Great staff, great options and more affordable than expected. Love the produce and meat departments!

Really good health foods store. They have a large selection of vitamins, supplements, juices, healthy prepped foods for all kinds of varying dietary preferences/needs. Lover the hot food bar at Roots! I usually only eat food I make at home because food in restaurants is just toxic one way or another, but Roots has clean, wholesome food that I can trust. Their green chicken enchilada is super yummy! Not sure why another reviewer gave it such poor reviews (maybe just an off day). Every time I have had it it is delicious! It's nice to have a local market catering toward organic and healthy alternatives. This place more so reminds me of Mother's Market or Jimbo's. I do miss living closer to a Whole Foods which carry specific items you can't find elsewhere, but in a pinch I've been coming here. I've been in a few times since moving here and finally had a moment to try the hot food bar. A lot of items were gone because I ordered towards the end of the night, but I enjoyed the teriyaki tofu and butternut squash. I also ordered a piece of salmon on the side. Everything came well packaged and warm. It all comes unseasoned except for the teriyaki tofu which obviously had sauce to give it flavor. It was a quick and easy meal that I appreciated, but I'm more so typing this review to call attention to this and for customers and the owner to take note. I know another reviewer had mentioned finding molded potatoes in her bag. Well, I unfortunately purchased a loaf of bread that molded as well. I didn't know until I drove all the way home because it was on the back side of the loaf. I didn't bother to grab a receipt and since I live on the other side of town, decided to just call it a wash. Shame on me I guess. So PSA -please check your items before leaving to make sure there is nothing wrong. Seems like something you wouldn't have to do, but with organic stuff- the shelf life can be iffy and it looks like a problem for this particular store. read more

Not a real health food store. Sells moldy products and won't take ownership of it. They give out plastic ware in their "health bar" when they sell biodegradable disposable ware. Outrageously over priced on many items. read more

Dear Root and Joe, I would once again like to praise Joe who works in the meat department in the back of the roots store. He is just amazing. Anytime I need the best product with the best advice, I go straight to Joe at Roots. Joe is very knowledgeable and really cares about his customers. I have had great dinner parties by taking his advice. He even walks me through best way to prepare and serve. I've had many compliments about my meals. I just can't recommend Roots enough! Pleasant experience here. We were looking for Celtic sea salt and happily found it among a wide selection of healthy products. Service was good. Especially appreciated the help we got from Matthew. I've delayed a few days before writing this review to give myself time to calm down.My son and I have been loyal customers at Organic Roots since they were at their previous location, spending several hundred dollars there every month. But we will NEVER go back because of an employee named Liz. On Oct. 9 we purchased $79.22 on food, not including our 2 smoothies. When we returned home, I started preparing dinner, using the 3 pound bag of red potatoes we had just purchased. However, a terrible stench arose from the bag of rotten potatoes. Let the attached photos speak for themselves! I immediately called Organic Roots and told them. The woman said to bring them back. I replied that I couldn't for several days and didn't want to keep rotten potatoes in my condo. However, I'd be happy to send her photos. She checked with a manager and said to not worry, just bring the receipt back within 30 days. Can you imagine my surprise when Liz mocked and ridiculed me when I handed her the receipt and explained the situation to her? She actually said that I lying to her because it wasn't store policy. She snidely asked if I thought Organic Roots was stupid enough to refund money to anyone who came in with a receipt. I asked if she could check on who was acting manager on Oct 9 because she would find that I was telling the truth. Oh no she wouldn't. I told her that this was the first time in about 15 years that I had ever returned anything to the store and I was not a liar. She wrote out a pink return slip when I said I was going to write a review on Yelp. Have you ever been so embarrassed in front of other shoppers for 4 bucks? I'm 72 years old and I will never accept such verbal abuse. What kind of training do the employees receive here? Luckily there are several nearby stores where I can spend my money. Sprouts, here I come. read more

My wife and I are really focused on finding the very best quality foods free of hormones, gmo's, pesticides and all the other junk that doesn't belong in your food and or/ other personal and household product. This place makes it very easy and stress free. You'll still need to check the labels on some product but way less than you would at let's say Sprouts. Very high quality meats and poultry(grass fed and grass finished) which is a must for me. I love that they have a juice bar we always take a growler to go. The deli is great if you're looking for a quick bite. It's not the cheapest by any means but considering you only get one body it's an investment I am willing to make. If you're not, you most likely don't have any idea how harmful most of the food in the US really is... highly recommend read more
