Stopped by Fruit Wonders and grabbed an acai bowl. At first glance, it looked like it was about to be a solid contender in my acai bowl adventures. Fresh fruit and toppings, good flavor, everything seemed promising...... until I hit the bottom and discovered oatmeal. Oatmeal!?!?!?!?!? In an acai bowl!!!!!!! I've eaten acai bowls all over San Diego, LA, Riverside counties and Vegas, and never in my life have I uncovered a surprise layer of breakfast porridge hiding underneath my acai. Such a cute little spot! Found this spot in the Stater Bros parking lot. I loved the artwork on the wall and there is a little sitting area for you to enjoy your smoothies or bowls. The gentleman that helped me was super friendly and explained to me everything was organic. He even mentioned to me that the supplements and snacks are all organic as well. I ended up getting a pitaya bowl that was HUGE and really filling the kiwi and strawberries were delicious! I also got a wellness shot that definitely cleared up my sinuses haha! The chia seeds are soaked in a coconut creme, but as long as I can't taste it, it's all good in the hood. The fresh fruits helped to mask what little of it I could taste. There's not a lot of places that offer date shakes. They had two offerings: regular date shake and green date shake. Green has kale and spinach. I opted for the green. While the flavor is good, I expected it to be more than watery. I expected it to be thick as a shake should be. Being the only customer there at the time, the guy seemed to have rushed the order. The clear door fridge is awesome as you can see the fresh fruits and veggies they store. My favorite smoothie so far is the Pink Pitaya. It has so much yummies in it that I can't remember all of the ingredients. They have a rewards system as well to earn free menu items. You can do add ons, such as plant based protein. It's so pleasant to have a place like this right down the street from my place! The price is $11 for a 24 oz which is pretty fair and they do have a bigger one I believe. They do load it with toppings too and some of the bowls have overnight oats which is my FAVE!
