After spending my money at places like Sprouts and Whole Foods, it was refreshing to find a store, the entire store dedicated to everything "organic". What a vast selection. We had a heyday here. Even partook of the hot prepared foods. Some looked better than others, but the grilled veggies and the healthy chili were two that were surprisingly tasty. They even had a seating area for casual dining. The store has a huge bulk section. A vast selection of beans, nuts, cereals, grains, sweets and snacks. The meat section may not measure up to a standard grocery in variety and volume, but if you ask me about the beautiful pork chops we purchased, I will get a sentimental tear in my eye. Not cheap by any means, but some of the best tasting ever. We were also able to find organic chicken backs to make our own bone broth. All meats are pasture raised, hormone free, antibiotic free. They offer a huge selection of supplements, lotions, hygiene products. I had been recently told about Bulletproof brand products (look it up, they do coffee beans, powdered collagen protein, collagen snack bars (made from cashew) that are out of this world, health drinks), and lo and behold they carried this brand here. Yes, our lifestyle has certainly changed in the past few months.. And it is hard to find the pasture raised meats, organic fruits and veggies, nuts, and so on that are supposed to be a part of our daily food intake. Hands down best grocery store for healthy (organic) foods in Temecula/Murrieta! I have shopped at Vons for years and they have an okay selection of organic produce BUT it's rarely sweet and/or fresh like the produce at Roots. The strawberries at Roots are all bright red, plumb and so sweet. The Temecula Sweets are the sweetest oranges and I've not found them anywhere else. The carrots are way sweeter as well. I love that most, if not all of the produce, is farmed locally. The juice bar is amazing, my husband loves the Bee Balanced and I love ALL of the juices and smoothies. They are so healthy and organic. We eat dinner from Roots hot food and salad bar twice a week and it costs no more than a visit to Chipotle but unlike Chipotle, we're getting organic food at Roots. The employees have all been friendly and enthusiastic. Shayla, who is a cashier, is super sweet. I began a health and wellness journey on Feb. 15, 2023, when I decided to make some serious lifestyle changes. I quit eating added sugar and started eating way healthier. I'm not dieting just making better food choices and drinking 80 ounces of water a day. I have lost 36 pounds and have 30 more to go. Shopping at Organic Roots has made it fun! read more

Like others that have left similar reviews I have been disappointed in a business that is supposed to support health allowing employees and staff not flowing the BS covid-19 statement they have. See new pic. I was in store today and still staff is not wearing masks correctly. Most below the nose or on the chin. Disappointed to see the worker doing the extra cleaning not wearing mask correctly. I also find it very disappointing that nothing is said to customers despite the signs saying masks must be worn. I agree with some of the other reviews regarding staff. It really does make or break your experience. I recently went in with my toddler, and while I was checking if a product was EWG verified on my phone, a staff member noticed my toddler reaching for the essential oils. She immediately rushed over and starting yelling NO NO NO to him. Excuse me?! I was standing right there! We all have different parenting skills and the correct thing would've been to address ME so I could do the parenting. At the end of the day, had he broke or ruined something I would've been liable to pay for it! After this, I noticed her following us around the store so I ended my purchase without getting all the items I needed. I felt so uncomfortable! Aside from that experience, they have great produce selection, (although the papaya is overpriced in comparison to Sprouts) the hot bar has items not cooked in canola oil which is a huge plus in my book! Pretty good place considering the area. Stopped by here after a trip to the mall across the street. I spent about 30 minutes going through every aisle and wasn't disappointed. There were many unique options and I ended up with a bag full of stuff to take home. The spicy pickle chips I bought made an excellent tuna fish sandwich the next day. - Prices are higher than sprouts, less than Whole foods. - Organic roots needs a better way to market their burrito bar. The ingredients were all covered up so there was nothing that "sold" me on ordering anything. - Really big sandwiches. Wow! - They sell sprouted almonds. First time here, and I took my time while walking around I was on the phone with my girlfriend letting her know what the store is about and what products they have in compassion to sprouts in Menifee, and then I notice a female employee following me around the store to make sure I am not stealing anything it was disgusting in my opinion, so I think I ended up spending around $70 on my first trip the hot bar had really good samosas and the juice bar was great as well I have been back one time since to buy some wagyu steaks spent about $170 but honestly I just don't feel right coming into this store I will have to find somewhere else where I don't feel less than of a person while I shop. read more

This is a customer service review. I did not catch her name as she was violently throwing my grocery items into my cart while screaming that I needed to leave. My family of five, six if you include my dog who we source all his meals from Roots, have been loyal customers of Organic Roots for over two years. WE SPEND ROUGHLY BETWEEN $400-$500 EVERY WEEK AT ORGANIC ROOTS! Unfortunately, after the way I was treated today from an employee who clearly has a severe lack of consideration, we will not be returning. I often have episodes of not being able to breathe deeply. It is extremely uncomfortable and has led to intense panic attacks, dizzy spells and vision disturbances from lack of oxygen. I had my mask pulled down to where it was under my nose which kept falling to where I kept having to pull it up. I was almost done bagging my own groceries as I usually do each shopping trip. She called for me to fully cover my face. I explained to her politely that I was struggling to breathe. She asked me to go outside. I politely declined her ridiculousness recommendation as I was almost done bagging my items and had not paid yet. I kindly said I'd be done in less than a minute and would leave then. She started making rude remarks such as, "Wow, no respect for others around you, no respect at all." As if I'm carrying the plague and was going to infect everyone in the store. Her recommendation became a demand with a raised voice. I now was annoyed by her attitude. Completely disregarded the well being of the loyal customer that stood in front of her as I did almost every week for the past two years. I fully understand that there has been changes in policy but a valuable employee would be able to sense, understand and have the ability to make a conscious decision to adapt to such situations. Instead, she lost her temper and made a scene where I was treated horribly. She was deliberately trying to shame me in front of everyone. She completely lost her cool and was behaving like a panic-stricken maniac because I refused her ridiculous recommendation of stepping outside when I was nearly done IN LESS THAN A MINUTE getting my groceries in bags and paying. While I was paying, she continued to say over and over again that I needed to step outside immediately. I refused and politely told her nobody will force me to wear a mask when I'm struggling to breathe. That's when she began to throw my items HARD on top of my bagged groceries in the cart and became very aggressive and loud, "YOU NEED TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW, RIGHT NOW! YOU NEED TO GO NOW! LEAVE!" I was more embarrassed for her display of disgraceful behavior than I was for myself at that moment and made sure to let her know she was insane on my way out the door. I'm not sorry. I'm glad there were witnesses to this unfortunate confrontation that could have easily been avoided. With that being said, humanity is not a virus. I will not comply and put my own health in jeopardy because people like her are living in fear and lacks the depth of an individual who can be so much more than someone who just follows orders with an unsoundly sense of reality. It's been real, it's been fun but it hasn't been real fun so we are going to take our hard earned money elsewhere. I've included a picture that I think is her but am not 100% sure. Throughout the years, whatever they decide to name this place...Sprouts (oh no, there's another Sprouts, that used to be Henry's), it's all good. The parking area and center itself is very busy, off peak hours are best. What has always impressed me is the knowledge and helpfulness in the supplements section. I've always found what I was looking for with great advice. It's a bit pricey, but you have a huge selection of foods and products that are healthy, organic, vegan, non-pesticides, etc. The nice little juice bar has a selection of smoothies and bowls. The deli has a variety of tasty items in case you are hungry and desire a snack or lunch. I should come here more often. read more

I have been patiently waiting for this store to open - I swear it feels like it took a year for it to open. I noticed today as I was driving on the freeway that it was opened! I was so exited! Apparently their Soft Opening was on April 25. 2020. The store is so clean and the employees are very friendly. During the COVID-19 pandemic, please make sure you wear a mask because they will not let you in. They have organic veggies, kombucha on tap, plenty of vegan options. It's like Sprouts and Whole Foods had a baby, and this was the finished product. They also have a paleo sushi bar, salad bar, and pizza kitchen, however they are currently closed. They have a meat counter and a bakery as well. The cookies looked delicious. They have food for every life style : Gluten Free, Vegan, Keto, Low Carb, etc. I love that they also carry supplements, beauty products, body care, hair care. I noticed they also sell coffee - you get to grind your coffee beans there, however, they are currently closed as well. I wish I had more time to explore as I was in a rush. I am saddened that I have to give this place a low rating because unfortunately there are some staff members that have been rude to me and or offered me bad/lazy service (i don't know all their names unfortunately but can describe the incidents) A recent incident with a person I can name is with margie (the short mexican woman w long hair) Recently I went through a serious health issue and this place had been a blessing since I can't cook etc (they sell ready to eat meals and healthy smoothies) but lately margie has been asking me extremely inappropriate questions such as "why do you always need someone with you while you shop can't you do it on your own?" (Uhm wtf!? Like clearly i DO need someone's help, but also why tf would you even ask this question? Learn some decency lady sheesh) she also makes rude, condescending, and snarky remarks like that I "come too the store way too often and should stop" also rolling her eyes at me etc. Her behavior is immature, inappropriate, and has made me and my family uncomfortable while shopping at the store. I have spent so much money here (it's pricey) and I know so many others have too so I don't understand why some staff treat the regulars this way; I mean we're literally the ones who pay their paychecks. All that being said I do want to point out the staff that I really appreciate here, the juicebar staff, the produce department, the really tall guy at the food-bar, and Louise you guys are human sunshine and are 100% the BACKBONE of this company! Yum yum yum. Yummy smoothies and yummy hot food! The breakfast burrito is sooo delicious! Any smoothie is delicious especially with the added bee pollen. $12 for lunch and $7 for a smoothie. That's my post gym drink and lunch for the day under $20. Of course it can get pricey however the burritos are worth the $15 (roughly) for the amount of food they put in it. 10/10 recommend for drinks and food. A friend of mine mentioned that they have a good selection of bulk nuts and low-carb/paleo items and it did not disappoint when I visited recently. The veggies are all very fresh and the meat though a bit pricey is very good quality, better than typical grocery store fair, fixed a tasty steak and mixed roasted veg for dinner last night, yum! I'm also something of a cheese junky and appreciate any store that has a solid selection of cheeses beyond the usual kraft/sargento stuff you commonly see, definitely one of the better spreads and for such a small market. I also noted a good selection of frozen meats of more unique types that I'll need to check out, my instant pot will make quick work of anything I get in there.   Since I was shopping around lunch time I decided to give their deli counter a try, all the sandwich fixings looked great and the young woman who prepped my food understood my concerns about avoiding carbs and sugar and made me a delicious unwich with roast beef and a good cheddar and plenty of veggies! Thank you miss Sabrina for keeping me from falling out of ketosis, I'll definitely be coming back for more noms!   If you'd rather take the DIY route they have a respectable salad bar where you can pile up your own greens, just make sure you don't accidentally dump some sugary dressing on your lunch by mistake! They also have plenty of pre-packed stuff to grab, just be sure and check the ingredients or ask an employee if you aren't certain about the carb count.   For those of you haven't yet kicked the sugar demon they have a bakery with some good looking stuff, I may see if I can find something on the lighter side of sweet to take home soon since my birthday is coming up and it would make for a wonderful treat alternative to something like a frosted cake. read more

I have not met a single friendly person that works here. The stocking staff members are rude and completely unknowledgeable to the products they are stocking. Even asking if they have an item in stock. The answer is no with a blank stare. Sprouts or traders Joe's I get "sure let me check the back or I'll look in to that for you". Here it's just "No I don't know" and they walk off. I've even purchased an expired item since I was too in a rush to check that day. They wouldn't honor it with out receipt even though they are the only ones around Temecula that sell this brand and that's literally the only reason I have to shop here sometimes. I don't know how they don't stand behind their products when the whole foundation of this store should be buying better quality than what you can find in the average grocery store. That's why you pay the extra $$$ right? Update*** I spoke to a store manager Ray a few hours after I purchased yogurts. He said I needed to bring the moldy yogurt back to the store. When I said I wouldn't be able to return the same day he said "well then bring it back tomorrow." I told him I am not keeping moldy yogurt in my fridge just to prove that I purchased moldy yogurt at his store." He had the audacity to say "What's the big deal just keep it in your fridge for one more day and bring it back tomorrow. I can't refund you without it." For starters, this should not be happening when I'm purchasing products way before the expiration date. He gave NO apologies for the inconvenience. They did not have the castor oil stocked at the time, however, the representative took down my information and I received a call the next day for pick up.
