I really like going to Roots for my vitamins. I've met with Lisa several times, she is knowledgeable, professional, and so very helpful. She listens to what I need and shows me my options. This place is pretty well stocked, but, it's a little smaller than I would have hoped. The prices are more, but, the quality is there. It's surviving the pandemic and operating well. I probably won't shop here often, as I prefer Barons for small local finds. I would like to return and try their take away food. Parking is easy, staff is friendly and they have a rather good selection of different stuff and organic brands you won't find at other markets. read more

This is an amazing store!! It's the same concept of organic food, like Whole Foods, only they are smaller. Their prepared foods (salads, sandwiches, etc) have bigger portions than Whole Foods and the price is about the same. I ordered a sandwich and it was huge!!! They had a lot of choices, like 4 different bread, 3 wraps and meats, cheeses and veggies. The girl that was helping me was very nice!! She answer all my questions and when I asked a nutrition question she wasn't sure about, she took the time to go back and get the product and check. She was helpful, patient and very friendly!!! The store is clean, organized, and offers a lot of organic choices. I love this place and will be back for sure!! read more

I notice that you provide a selection of "The Coconut Cult" probiotic - I adore the chocolate mouse but it's the only one you order in an 8oz while the other flavors are in 16oz. The chocolate is the most sought out flavor among the Coconut Cult flavors & sometimes I'm lucky finding it at your store and sometimes not so lucky :( The newest flavor out is another palatable delight COFFEE. They named it "Coffee Is my Boyfriend" probiotic. I HOPE Root's will add these fabulous flavors which are very much sought after in family size 16oz. Thank you so much for hearing a bit of feed back from your customers who enjoy shopping at your store. PALMINI is also something I am hooked on too, if you can please add PALMINI Lasagna. Also please see if Sprouted Pili nuts which is a super KETO snack is a benefit to your already vast SunFood Collection from which I enjoy those products too. Thank you for providing wonderful quality products & at reasonable prices:) read more

I have been in search of Celtic salt and castor oil contained in glass. I went in to look around and found so much more. They did not have the castor oil stocked at the time, however, the representative took down my information and I received a call the next day for pick up. The Celtic salt was available and I was able to purchase. I'm enjoying the products. I will be back. read more

Organic Roots - Its been 4yrs!!!! Heck ya I'm back!!! - Health Markets Near Me - Temecula, California

Roots was our favorite local grocery store, and we were really trying to support them amid the pandemic. They were doing really well and protecting the public early on. They were one of the first local stores to offer senior hours for safety. However, something has shifted. We've been extremely disappointed the last couple of visits. I needed some bulk items and the employee filling the bulk items was wearing his mask on his chin breathing all over the raw goods, then, he proceeded to play on his phone with his gloves on and immediately went back to loading the raw food. Not only is this inconsiderate given then pandemic, it's also a MAJOR health violation regardless of the pandemic. He wasn't the only issue... many other employees weren't wearing their masks properly, including the fresh juice bar, and most patrons weren't wearing masks properly (or at all). read more

Very rude staff. A friend had mentioned how rude they are at this store. But I never like to go by hearsay. I went and experienced it myself! Never coming here again, Trader Joe's and sprouts are so much better anyways. Besides being overpriced Roots does not care about their customers. If I could give ZERO stars I would. read more

I was pretty shocked that there was a couple walking around in the store tonight with no masks on. The man coughed twice. It clearly states mask required on the door. I asked to speak to a manager on duty, and A man came out, I think his name was Ray. I told him about the couple and pointed them out. But, instead of telling them that a mask is required and offering them curb side. He tells me that he's not going to say anything to them and offered me curb side. So when they say they require masks to enter, they don't. This was Horrible customer service and obviously that manager does not care about any of his other customers n the store. He seemed more worried about conflict with that couple. I will call and report this to corporate and I am definitely done shopping at that store! UPDATE: I talked to a woman who said she was the store manager and she said they do not require masks to enter the store. I highly recommend not shopping at that store in Temecula. read more

Unfortunately, Roots has now lost our business. We had been supporting them weekly for the last four years, but today they would not let us return a bag of unopened chocolate chips. I didn't realize when buying them yesterday that they were stevia sweetened, and they would not let us return the day after purchase WITH receipt. Sadly, we also had accidentally purchased and expired item that could not be returned, this has happened THREE additional times. It's a shame because we loved many if their products, but today was the last straw. Can't keep wasting money. read more

I like this spot but to me its the same as Henry's or Sprouts. They do have a juice bar so that's cool but everything else is about the same. Oh yeah they also have a full kitchen which is a very nice touch. I don't come here a lot but when I do I definitely getting a coconut water by Harmless Harvest because they have the best coconut water. I always see ladies on their workout clothes and that's fine with me but come on this is not the gym. I'm not sure if they give you a discount if you bring your own bag but they should. I will continue to shop here if I'm in the area because Trader Joe's is just so small and always full of people. read more

I was on a quest for flavored Stevia packets! And I found them here. :) Upon entering, I noticed a juice bar to the right of the store where they make fresh sandwiches and smoothies. Service seemed pretty friendly over there. I liked the open space of this store and the fact that everything is healthy and organic! WARNING: You do pay a pretty penny when shopping here...think "Whole Foods" pricing. And actually, it kinda looks and feels like a Whole Foods when you're browsing. I left with my 2 boxes of Stevia (Caramel Delicioso flavor and Natural Peach flavor) with a huge smile on my face. :) read more

Very nice grocery store, one of the best in the IE only because there's no Whole Foods Market. If you have gluten free issues then this is the place for you, fresh made sandwiches and a nice variety of hot foods and bakery items. "try the GF lemon cake excellent" I basically come for a GF sandwich or some lemon cake, so i can't really comment on anything else. Excellent sandwiches with plenty of meat and a good selection of toppings, easily worth $8.00, but then i leave a $2.00 tip. $10 bucks no-big-deal. I've heard people bitch about the prices, If you can't afford it then get your welfare ass out of here, winco is across the street. Friendly service and very clean market. Try and RB sandwich and a piece of lemon cake with a soda $15.00 done deal, excellent lunch. read more

First things first! I'm not a size 0 and I love my french fries once in awhile. Lol I purchased today a build your own burrito and it was really good and big. My favorite was the gluten free whoopee pumpkin that I had at there bakery. It was out of this world!!!!! The staff isn't very friendly. I got multiple looks from employees like "why are you shopping here" I felt very cold and not welcomed and asked for help and was pushed aside by someone skinnier than me. The prices seem higher then Sprouts or Trader Joes. So I won't be coming back unless I really need to! read more

Ooooh organic frappes....I'm going in...coconut mocha...good ish. The store is nice, huge selection of everything from fruit, veggies, meats, baked goods and a ton of holistic medicine and crèmes. You surely could stock up on everything you need here, would it not be so darn expensive. Yes, I know organic costs more, but here the prices are about double of Trader Joe's and higher that at Sprouts and Whole foods as well. I enjoyed looking around but other than my coffee I didn't buy anything, it really was that darn expensive. What a shame, I really liked this store, clean, fully stocked and nice service. Stop by if you got it like that. read more

I love this market. I don't live in Temecula; I'm from South San Diego so I visit for my lunch break when I have to see a client in the area. It's awesome here. Am awesome selection of organic goods, gluten free products, and just all natural, healthy foods. It's not very large but you wouldn't think so with the great selection they offer. Their salad bar is great but I love their sandwiches. Love love love them. I posted their prices but I know it isn't too clear. I usually get a half sandwich ($4.99) with maybe a gluten free wheat free seedy cookie or chocolate cookie as a dessert (from their awesome bakery). A whole sandwich is $6.99 and if you get it as a panini, it's $7.99. You customize it with their great selection of crisp, fresh items. I love getting chicken salad (huge chunks of breast meat) with veganaise and deli mustard, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, pickles, and a little sprouts on rye swirl bread. Their turkey pastrami is great, the tuna salad is yum, and their turkey sandwich is never fails :) They're located right next to CostPlus World Market right by the Promenade. The staff are always so welcoming and helpful. They're knowledgeable about what they carry and they're just plain friendly. I really wish we had one in Chula Vista. It's like having a small Whole Foods Market but with just the best part :) read more

Edited to include response: you are misinformed. I did not walk out. Your manager JoJo told me to just take it. Again, bad response to a bad experience. I was sold spoiled rotten milk and that's your response? Pfft. I'll buy my overpriced organic food elsewhere. Your staff has seriously gone down hill, with the exception of the regulars. They are rude and abrasive and I will gladly spend my hundreds a month elsewhere . Came here for an milk return bc it smelled sour. I called ahead of time to explain I didn't have a receipt, i was told they Can search by number . Upon arrival ( 7:45pm Friday) I was told I couldn't return it bc the person who looks it up past receipts wasn't there ( as a customer why is this my problem? I was told it can be done but bc of internal issues now you can't?) .. I offered to leave my phone number so they can look it up and the old lady helping was totally rude - she's like no you're gonna have to pay for another milk ( she was in vitamins Friday evening). I walked over to grab another milk and over head her talking to jojo the store manager who said just take it but next time bring your receipt, which I replied with I don't keep my receipts. She said well next time you should. Completely rude and abrasive over an SOUR milk return. Instead of being polite and demanding I keep receipts she should have provided some form of customer service. No , instead jojo chose to be rude. I spent alot of money here multiple times a week. Needless to say this place has gone way down hill with all the new staff. Do better jojo bc your behavior over $5 milk was a no no.. read more

Organic Roots - Yummmmmm, freshly made in the bakery!!! - Health Markets Near Me - Temecula, California

We stopped by our Temecula store earlier this afternoon to pick up a few things. Out on the aisles was a very helpful employee who directed me to a particular item i could not locate. I found the items we needed. Then, i went up to the CHECK OUT, where a VERY UNFRIENDLY employee scanned my items. I GREETED HIM. I said: hello, hows it going. His response was: OK, no eye contact, no courteous input. Then after he scanned my items he was dead silence. So, i looked at his monitor and gave him a $20 bill. He took my money, gave me my change and receipt without any recognition he did ask if i wanted a bag. My point is, regardless of his obviously having a bad day, FAKE IT WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS, you know, the folks who PAY YOUR BILLS. You aren't the only organic location in our valley. read more

I am so thankful for Organic Roots!! I love knowing there is a local market that supports local organic farmers. Shopping at Organic Roots simplifies my life, too, because I can buy all my organic produce here when I can't get to the farmers market. Recently our kitchen was being renovated so I was able to come here daily for my smoothies, juices, salad bar, and hot deli! I am so thankful to be able to eat out daily and not only know that I'm eating clean, but after almost two months, (yes, two months!!), I still feel fantastic. The staff at the juice/smoothie bar are terrific! They are so patient and understanding when you need to modify a beverage (food sensitivities cause a few limitations), and if you let them know that you have a food allergy, they will sanitize the blender before using it for you. I love getting a salad bowl at the burrito bar! It's similar to Chipotle, but organic! Yay! The sandwich bar offers bread/wrap options which include gluten free, panini (allow extra time) and raw wrap. (Extra charges apply for some options). The hot bar changes and they give you a taste if you're not sure about a dish (like jackfruit carnitas, for example ;) There are always lots of gluten free options and vegan, as well. They staff in the vitamin/supplement section is so knowledgeable and helpful. -a great resource!! This is my "go to" store for almost all my needs, including personal care. This place has gone so far down hill in the last few years. It uses to be my favorite store now I rarely go. The quality of food in the bakery juice bar, and deli is terrible. The alkaline and RO water refill stations are sketchy. I paid $10 for 5 gallons of alkaline water and got 5 gallons of the RO both tasted exactly the same and had a strong chemical taste. Don't refill your water there it cant be safe. read more

Lately, since I've been going to dance classes, I've been trying to eat less grease. Today, was no exception. I opted for the small chicken salad and pita chips. The chicken salad didn't have regular mayo in it...it had vegonaise. Hahaha. To tell you the truth, it tasted really good and I would have loved to have gotten more but then I would have been too full. Damn, I can be sucha glutton, it's sick. They have pre-made sandwiches and other salads available along with different types of sushi. The place is immaculate and they have a little seating area where you can eat your food. This place is serious about organic healthy foods. The salad bar there is impressive, I'll have to hit it up next time I go there. I've had their smoothies and it was alright. There is plenty of parking available. I hope this place doesn't go out of business because of the new Henry's, Fresh & Easy, and Trader Joes nearby. It's a little bit pricier than Trader Joe's but the quality is superior to theirs. read more

I went to Roots today and I I purchased 3 boneless rib eyes for over $20. Per pound, which were advertised as aged premium grade A beef. They were full of tendons and gristle and only a small amount was edible, over 2/3 of the steaks were waste. I spent hard earned money and expected a quality product. Don't buy meat from Roots! read more

This is by far the best organic market in the Temecula area. The key behind it's greatness it's probably due to the fact it's a "small business". If you can't find what you're looking for in their arsenal of supplies, make sure to inquire. That is the advantage to being a small business. The large selection of produce is all organic and the meat selection is all grass fed. In need of a large tray of organic wheat grass, they have it here. On the run and need a quick bite or drink. Stop in and take advantage of their juice bar, soup & salad bar, and hot food bar. Serving all sorts of combinations including Sandwiches, Panini's, Burritos, Tacos, Wraps and more. Its a one stop shop. Trader Joe's, Henry's, even the infamous "Sprouts" has nothing on this store and carry many more GMO filled products. This is REAL organic. Its unfortunate that stores can't eliminate ALL the GMO merchandise without repercussions from governmental entities. I personally know of one store that was VERY popular in Santa Monica California that refused to sell toxic products and after battling with the governmental bodies they were forced to sell ....... read more

I've always loved this place, being that it's pretty much in an unknown city in SoCal (better known now than before atleast), and they still cater to the vegan/organic crowd... I also love supporting small businesses... everybody is so friendly and easy to approach, and shows they love their job.... Today I went to my favorite grocery store i come here for the friendly employees and great produce, not to mention the amazing juice bar. However today I experienced something I never thought I would at organic roots I watched a woman I believe her name was Margie berate and older gentlemen I didn't quite catch his name tag but he was an employee and she humiliated him in front of not only me but all the other customers as well as other employees. Yelling to him about something he might've done wrong. As a retail worker myself I know there's ways to handle things and public humiliation is not it. I went home feeling very upset and genuinely was sorry for that gentleman please make sure she doesn't treat people this way especially not in front of customers it is not a good look read more

Love the selection they have to offer!! Only complaint is make sure to check the pricing on supplements online before buying them here. Online could be up to 10-15$ cheaper for the same thing. Not to be mistaken for "Sprouts" (or Henry's), which I unknowingly did. The juice bar has no added sugars, which is very Paleo-friendly. Don't be afraid to ask for substitutions as they are very accommodating. Meats section is smaller than most places, but seems to be a lot of grass-fed items. Coming from San Fernando Valley, it's a hybrid between Lassen's & the other Sprouts. Prices are very comparable and even slightly less than than Baron's. Plus: their outdoor patio is dog-friendly! Negative: very little shade, so watch out if your dog over-heats easily. read more
