GYRO PLATE: 10/10 I usually don't like to eat too much gyros but, this one has so much flavor that I'm going we agreed to call it the STAR OF THE SHOW!! Love the rice and pita with hummus as the side items that came with it. You can also choose fries or salad as sides as well... SPICY CHICKEN TANDOORI: 9/10 It was very good. It was just a bit dry for me but, the spice was really nice. It wasn't overly spicy like Thai spicy chili peppers or ghost peppers. There's a small parking lot on the side of the building but can be difficult to find a spot during peak hours due to neighboring businesses. It's a classic counter-service setup with indoor and some outdoor seating. I tried the Steak Filet Mignon Kabob Rice Plate; the meat was flavorful, tender, and paired perfectly with their garlic and tzatziki sauces. They also have sumac chipotle and mango chili at their self-serve sauce bar. Portions for my plate were fair for the price, but slightly smaller than other spots I frequent (though the flatbreads and burgers I saw looked big). Everything is made fresh to order here, so expect about a 15-minute wait if you walk in for takeout, but you can order online ahead of time. This place was a little off the beaten path in Old Town but boy is it good! Their falafel is excellent. I had a gyros salad and falafel. All people in our group really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and attentive. You order up at the counter and then the food is brought out to you so this is a good place to take a group that needs separate checks or to pay separately. I was taken care of very well by Sarah, the owner's daughter. We engaged in friendly conversation and she told me a bit of her family history. It was fascinating to discover that they are from Afghanistan and have brought their exotic & unique flavors to Temecula. How fortunate for us to have them here! The sauces were all delicious, but my favorites were the garlic sauce and the chipotle aioli. They added so much flavor to everything. The fries in the gyro fries were perfectly crispy, and the toppings of feta cheese, guacamole, and gyro meat made it super filling. The gyro was lean and a little crispy on the edges, nicely sliced, with very excellent flavor. The accompanying sauces added a variety of flavor as well. I got there before they open so I waited in the little patio area outside. Had a chance to talk to the owner while he was setting up. Love how passionate he was about his business. Came back a second time with my best friend she is a foodie like me. Of course I had the Gyro again it was as awesome as before meat was seasoned perfectly and lots of it pita did not fall apart while you ate it. They have an awesome sauce station I had the Tzatziki and garlic sauce on my sandwich. I came with a side so I had the salad because I am not a French fry lover. Nice option if you don't want to be at a sit down restaurant and wait for a server. I got the gyro plate that came with rice, grilled veggies, salad, and pita bread. I added on a side of their spicy chicken, zaatar fries, hummus with extra pita, and baklava. Gyro was tender, pita bread was soft, spices on the chicken and zaatar fries were flavorful, and they gave so much hummus! They had a dispenser with four different sauces --the tzatziki and garlic sauce were my favorite. The cashier was super nice and friendly. Answered all my annoying questions about the menu and their restaurant. She also convinced me the baklava, imported from Turkey, was good and she was not lying! It's the best baklava I've tasted. I ate what I could and the next day, shared the leftovers with my coworker. Everything still tasted amazing! Total was a little over $40 which is not bad at all considering it made about 3 servings and I have hummus left over! There are seatings inside and on their patio. They're right next door to the Matcha Place and Gambling Cowboy in Old Town Temecula on Fifth Street --so parking can be a bit tricky but I was able to get a spot in their center. I ordered the chicken kabob plate and a gyro plate. Both dishes were really flavorful! However, I did notice that the gyro meat was sliced very thin, which made it a bit dry. It would be appreciated to be updated or something when ordering online or via phone while waiting around for no reason because 15 mins changed to nearly 40 mins that's pretty irritating when there's no rush.
