Mind blown -- I never knew Cal Poly Pomona was a California State University! *laughs into an embarrassing chuckle* AND... this campus is HUGE!! At least I knew about their agricultural studies being high up on the most popular degrees! I seriously loved seeing the foothills, all the green, farmland, cows... yes, the cow goes moo! Cows can be very peaceful to watch. The best part was learning about the old iconic CLA Building being brutalist architecture (yesssss... the same architectural deisgn as our nation's FBI headquarters... the J. Edgar Hoover Building in Washington, D.C.), which is a modern form of architecture... and maybe that is why Gattaca (with Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Jude Law) was filmed there... so sad the CLA Building is gone. The school being famous for breeding Arabian horses and like I stated before... their College of Agriculture, which inclides Animal Science. The same Kellogg breakfast cereal creator founded Cal Poly! You will actually see the word "Kellogg" scripted out on a building in red exactly how it is printed on a cereal box (I think it was the Union Plaza building). The school is also known for their Hospitality Management and they actually have a hotel and conference centers on campus! I seriously hope opening three paragraphs gave you multiple mind-blowing experiences. This campus truly was beautiful and unique. I actually got a private tour from an alumnus who happens to be my boyfriend. He is a legacy, which I love. We started from the area where the Gym and the new Student Rec Center are, passed the Bookstore, the Union Plaza which were the old stables, the dorms (where there is a statue of an Arabian horse), the Library, and made our way pass the new Student Services Building towards the old CLA Building. Then came the elements I love... gardens. We stopped by the Japanese Garden, the Rose Garden, and the pond where turtles were at La Cienega Center. I saw four turtles! Just missing a rat and some ooze... We went by Manor House and trying to get to Kellogg House. Instead, I got distracted by a succulent garden and wooden pergola with greenery. The wooden sign covered by all the greenery said: Voorhis Ecological Reserve. At first, I thought it was just another small garden. But holy crap... I was wrong. It looked like Hawaii or a jungle from Indiana Jones! We took this stone path that was weathered and erode. It kept trailing up and we ended up in the backyard of Kellogg House. Then, of course, I found another set of stairs and trail that led to the radio tower. Curiosity led us up to a stunning hilltop view of the campus. It was breathtaking! It made the unplanned cardio worth it! Somehow we managed to go back the way we came and exited the Reserve and made our way to where the University Quad area is where Engineering, Sociology, and Marketplace are. That Quad was pretty! It looked collegiate! Apparently that is where graduation takes place. Then more steps! It led us to Kellogg West where the lodge and conference center are. They actually had restrooms and it was perfect timing for a bathroom break. Uhhhhh... I just realized. I am literally hashing out on Cal Poly Pomona's Yelp my exact walking tour! LOL! Ooooops... Ok, intermission (a.k.a. bathroom break) over! In the Kellogg West Conference Center, they had historical photos on the walls. I love historical photographs, especially the black and white ones that showed W.K. Kellogg. After Kellogg West were the cows!! We got to the Beef Unit. That was when the sun was setting and the foothills looked so beautiful. For a moment I thought I was out in the Midwest. I miss being out in rural America! Nature is seriously harder to come by now, especially living in the OC. So I definitely enjoyed the landscape. Going back towards the main part of campus, we went by the Environmental and Agricultural area. At one point, we passed by a small vegetable/herb garden and greenhouse. Then we were back at the Quad! Phew! As the sun was setting, we took the route behind the Marketplace and went past Music, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts. They even had a nice art gallery on the campus. We passed on the backside of the Library. The Library is an interesting building. Side note -- if you are a Cal State University alum, you can apply with your alumni association for a library card that will grant you access to all CSU Libraries! I got one! Hope you got mind-blown again! *evil laughs* By the end of this campus walking tour -- seeing the Bookstore, the new Rec Center, and the pool and tennis courts... I knew exactly where I was. Back to Parking Structure 2 where the car was... *tired sigh* I was definitely looking forward to sitting! But on a serious note -- Cal Poly Pomona's campus is nice... really nice! Just being there made me miss the academia/college life. I wouldn't mind going back there again for more memories!

04/16/2021 Register and searched on myturn.ca.gov and found Cal Poly Pomona Mass Vaxx site. I'm not going to create a new business listing because it is Cal Poly Pomona facilitating this site. Pomona Police and Campus Police presence in case anything happens. Pulling up after finding the signs and following directions to get to the parking. You have to show your appointment before you can proceed. When you walk upstairs, you have 20 lanes to select from after they take your temperature. My first visit had long lines. This visit, no waiting which I could walk right up. Showed my confirmation code to verify then I was told to follow the blue circles. Make sure you use the hand sanitizers they provide. Nurses are doing great as the first nurse made me not even feel the needle. The second nurse I could feel the needle even though it was a really small needle. Walk over to the waiting area for 15 minutes and you are on your way back to your car. It is up to you to keep track of the time. Giant clocks around or check your phone. Would be cool if you could talk to other people that are there waiting. I said hello to the nurses walking around checking on everyone waiting. I think this was very organized. I was in and out on my second visit.

Trying to find my way around this campus proved to be a bit challenging. My 1st stop to look at a campus map to search for my destination didn't help, it didn't show where the Japanese Garden was located. After a few minutes of driving around I decided to stop and ask a student for directions. Surprisingly, there isn't as much parking as I hoped there would be. I will say that the overall "look and feel" of the campus was very nice. The Japanese Garden here is much smaller than the one I used to visit at Cal St LB, but still a nice one nonetheless. It just so happened to be graduation day so the place was packed with students taking pictures. I won't hold that against them, these things happen, it just made it harder to enjoy. My kids definitely enjoyed the visit, they loved seeing the fishes, turtles, rabbits, squirrels and other animals. Aside from the long search for my destination, it was an enjoyable visit and I enjoyed taking pictures around the campus.

I've been here for 5 years as a college student, and I am overdue for a review for this university. CPP is one of the top CSU's that is affordable, has a variety of eateries on campus, many opportunities pertaining to your major, an abundance of resources, and is considered to have a beautiful scenery throughout campus as it's located near the lush hills and mountains. My experience here has been great, I know most of the pros and cons while attending this school, and I'll list some helpful information... There are good places to study that have quiet to moderate noise level- such as the library, the BSC, the Japanese Garden, 24-Hour Lab, and the Horse Stables. If you're not studying, there's a gym called the BRIC containing multiple floors for different activities and that has lockers, showers, and even a Jamba Juice! The gym is not your is thing? Well, if there's no class in session, you can take a dip in the swimming pool right next to the BRIC to relax. If you're hungry, there's so many choices ranging from Taco Bell, Mongolian Grill, Hibachi-San, Subway, Qdoba, Round Table Pizza, Carl's Jr, Panda Express, Starbucks, Saddle's, Einstein Bagels, etc.! Fyi, if you're a solid-hardcore coffee drinker like me, then you're in luck, there's at least 5+ coffee places throughout campus to get your caffeine fix! There is also a nearby market place down the street from CPP on Valley Blvd & W Temple Ave that a lot of students go to unwind outside of campus. I give this university only 4 stars due to how LIMITING parking is. Parking here is a nightmare Monday-Thursday, and sometimes Fridays as well. This is the only CSU that not only has the worst parking, but it is also considered to have the highest price to purchase parking permits throughout any CSU university. My advice, is to carpool if you can, take the bus (deals are found at the ASI box office), take the metrolink... any source of transportation will be helpful to avoid parking situations. Most of the time when students come late to class, it's because of not finding parking. One very last thing, always check the cpp website or pick up a copy of The Poly Post Bronco Magazine stored in the green bins on campus for more info pertaining classes, resources, activities, things to do, and much more!

My mother and I came here for the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine today. We came at a time where there were barely any people, so we got to park our car super close to the vaccine site. We walked up the stairs and checked in. After checking in, we were directed to a lane to wait our turn for the vaccine. We didn't even have to wait at the end of the lane. All the staff did was double check my mom's information. After she was done, we were directed towards a vaccine booth. The vaccination process took less than 5 minutes. Then after getting the vaccine, you have to wait 15 minutes in this one area behind the vaccination booth so that the nurses can monitor you for side effects. After the 15 minute monitoring period, you may leave. My mom and I were there for a total of 20 minutes. Super quick and easy process.

As you enter there are signs directing you along with police officers and staff

Covid 19 Vaccination site and both trips were super smooth! They are set up on the main level of covered parking (which was excellent, since it was raining the day of my 1st dose) My 2nd dose was scheduled automatically and that week I had injured my knee, so I was regretting that I was going to have to walk up and wait in line. As I parked (lower level covered parking again, yay!!) I got out, looked at the stairs, and then looked around for the elevator. The traffic assistant saw me looking and pointed it out. Then she noticed I was limping and asked if I needed a wheelchair. Before I could answer, she waved a gentlemen over who pushed me all the way through! All the way through the 15 min wait and up to my car door. It was a very nice and everyone was so nice at every turn. I recommend this site. A++

Sit & wait after vaccination. My appointment was at 9:50am. I walked out of this last area and back to my car at 10:14am. Great Team!

They already had four years of his tuition. He had even paid for graduation. But they gave him nothing in return -- no degree, no future, just $500,000 in student loans and a shattered dream. The decision was made by a board that included a teacher who isn't even allowed to teach anymore because they physically assaulted students, including my son -- and yet this person helped decide his fate. There was no compassion, no accountability, and no willingness to help a student learn and grow from a mistake -- which, ironically, is what education should be about. Instead, they acted as judge, jury, and executioner, playing god with my son's future while protecting their financial interests. Please, if you're considering this school -- think twice. For a place that claims to train future healthcare professionals, there is a staggering lack of humanity.

Laura was very knowledgeable about the procedures and also the software. How OU works is you fill out a form of the classes you want to take (basically any class that's offered that quarter) and you go to the first day of classes and ask the professor if you can add. If they allow you to add, the professor signs your form and then you take the same form to the Department Chair and have them sign it (with the exception of summer session). Only trick is to make sure you have your previous transcripts ready for them to review if the class you're interested in has a prerequisite course. Once you have the signature(s) you take the form to the OU office and make your payment and voila, you're enrolled! Laura really helped me for one of my classes because the professor was willing to add me as long as I went through the same route as the regular, non-OU students and went on the wait list. As an OU student, you cannot go on wait lists because you cannot try to enroll in a class without a code. The purpose of the Open University form they sign is that they're allowing you to bypass the wait list and just be added to the class. In order to accomplish this, Laura had to mark me as a regular student so that I can go onto the wait list and once I made it into the class, she had to switch me back to an OU student. It was a roundabout way to do it, but she knew the system so well that she was able to think of a solution for an unprecedented scenario.

Last but not least, Life Pacific University has hidden true colors and intentions. Coming from someone who has not entirely left the school to transfer to another institution or made a commitment to return as a second year I was flabbergasted when I heard one of LPU's lead during a tour tell the prospective student and their parents lie about several things leaning towards what they would get out this school. The school is very very tiny so the administration and the key staff will know what goes on with the students because nothing stays hidden. Therefore, LPU is HIGHLY selective about who they allow into their student leadership positions on campus in order to protect the school's (un)-reliable representation and reputation. This means there is a lot of favoritism involved rather than truly seeing the student's value, passion, integrity, AND CHARACTER. Instead, it is only about fitting the brand name and looks of LPU. Especially, when it comes to the chapel's worship team, R.A. position, and admissions team. It is really sad here to see what this school would do to increase its profit rather than seeing the true needs of this campus. No coincidence that the graduation rate is low (LOOK AT THE STATS). These facts are true so don't let dull words at the student previews try to trick you into going into something that isn't being held to the standard they are convincing you it is. On the other hand, dorm life and student life aren't TOP priorities. Education is the only thing best so far. Besides the majority of staff and faculty who leave this place, they quickly come and go after realizing this place isn't what they thought either. Faculty tries to keep everything under the surface to convince a different story of how staff really act. I can't tell you enough or the exact # of staff that have left or been replaced before I enrolled here and until the end of the semester. Whatever the main cause of leaving is left many faculty members are overworked and underpaid as they are filling in gaps as dual/adj. positions. If I failed to mention, allow me to apologize but Life Pacific Univeristy is far from a private Christian higher education, it is by no comparison different from any other secular/non-Christian university. They use it all for the brand name to convince you otherwise. Last year before the holiday break, we had a security man named Bruce who would often give off weird vibes to women on campus by starring for estranged time of minutes from afar distance without suitable reason and was reported as being overly friendly which distracted him from his original work. Numerous complaints got him fired and replaced by a new security team.

Life Pacific College is a great college. The campus is located in the quite town of San Dimas. My…read moreson went to their summer wrestling camp. It was 3 days of intense training and technique. The head coach Arson, is very knowledgeable about wrestling and the mind of the wrestler. That makes all the difference. One of the days I came in early and over heard a group discussion. The current LPC wrestlers were encouraging the high schoolers about the importance of prioritizing your life and putting God first and that a good wrestler needs to keep his grades up for scholarships. They also had the financial counselor come in and talk to the high schoolers about college applications, financial aid, FASFA etc. All of this information was helpful and above and beyond our expectations from a wrestling camp. Thank you! Great things are happening in the wrestling team at LPC.
