I came here for a test during the weekdays. The place was smaller than I thought but the staff was friendly and made sure to double check what test I was taking. The test room had a bunch of work stations and was monitored by a proctor. I finished my test at the allocated time and passed! I had a very good experience here! As good as one can have when doing testing to see if you will be licensed I thought I'd leave a review for us Saturday test takers with more specific parking instructions. If it's a Saturday after 2 PM, approach the parking garage door on LAKE, NOT green street. It will be only one garage door. Once you've pulled up, call the testing center and they will come let you in. Take a parking ticket as you go in, then go to the 5th floor of parking (it's the last one you can go to) and they will meet you at the elevator. I stayed for so long I ended up not having to pay $15 for parking (score). As a heads up, I wouldn't wear any jewelry - a kind fellow test taker helped me take off my necklace I had to leave in my locker, and I had to put my hairband in my hair. Instructions aside, the staff were so friendly, nice and attentive. All instructions were clear, the facility was clean and they offered ear plugs as well as had headphones at the desk. It was quiet enough for me - there's always some noise of people coming in and out but that's expected. Bathrooms were clean as well, lockers were spacious and my items felt safe as I had my key. My wife came here to take her NCLEX exam. We came a week before just to be familiar with the area. So for test takers, visitors parking are on the 5th floor and you'll have to pay at the 1st floor after your test. After you park your car, you take the elevator on the right from the parking lot to the 8th floor. The left side elevator is for authorized employees only. There will be signs to let you know which elevator to take and also where the Pearson room is. The Pearson room is 840 and when we came in the weekend, it looked like they were doing some construction in the other rooms. When my wife came today to take her test there was no construction tape, she said the process of check in was easy. They take your fingerprints, picture, check your id and make sure you have nothing up your sleeves or your reading glasses. She said the testing room was quiet since everyone else was also taking the NCLEX so it was all mouse clicking but they will give you earplugs and headphones if needed. The proctor was also nice and she didn't have any issues. The only issue I see people having here is the parking because it's narrow and there not a lot of parking spots. read more

I don't know why this site has a lot of bad reviews. I took the NCLEX-RN at Pearson Vue Pasadena yesterday, & I (officially) found out I PASSED today! Testing center was easy to find, CLEAN, & the staff were nice. Check-in process was very seamless & I was accommodated right away. I arrived about 30mins before my appointment, and after checking in, I was able to start the exam before my appointment time. Aside from 1 moment where an ambulance or cop car passed by with sirens on, I didn't think it was loud. Mind you, I didn't even use earplugs, though I asked for them just in case.. Soundproof ear muffs are also available on the desk (didn't use those either). I was sat at cubicle # 18 (my favorite number), so I knew things were going to go well! 5/5 would come here if I again if I need too. I think it's a little bit easier to find/park compared to Alhambra location. More restrooms. Was hesitant at first due to other reviews. There is couple of entrances to the parking lot. I think 3. Per instructions, you park at 5th floor and the center is on 8th floor. There is a huge poster for you to scan for parking. Convenient for those who don't want to use physical payment. You can also pay the attendant but Another review said to pay at the beginning to prevent issues by scanning so maybe do that. Compared to the Alhambra location, it's much easier to find the building since it's connected to the parking. For Alhambra you have to put in some leg work because there is multiple buildings. I was scared to used this location because of reviews like they do not allow for your personal snacks but I had no issues. Might be dependent on your exam. I also didn't hear street noises like someone pointed out but that may be a different wing of the building like I was. read more

Overall, I had a great experience. Pearson View is located on the 8th floor in the Union Bank building. Parking is available on the 5th floor (Visitor Parking). Make sure you scan QR code posted around to register your payment information and pay. I waited until after my exam and found a "Parking Violation" note stating my vehicle was subject to being towed at my expense. I had no issues fixing this and being able to pay. Parking cost was $14.99 for the day. Staff was friendly, professional, and it was a smooth check in. You get checked in in the beginning and everytime you enter or leave the testing room. In the testing room, you sit in your own cubicle,facing the wall, and they give you ear plugs (upon request), and provide headphones. I was very comfortable for the four hours that I was there. Lastly, you also get a locker for your belongings. I was able to take a break in the lobby: have water and juice (no food/fruit) and go back to test. I recently tested here and had an overall positive experience, so I wanted to share a look at the "post-COVID" situation if you're planning on testing here soon! Masks are no longer required, but I had brought one just in case. The facility was clean and all employees I interacted with were cordial. Parking was easy in the building, but I understand others might have challenges based on what time/day their exam is. Parking was $14 for the day. Before going into the test room, there was a self-pat down and body check. Was definitely a bit weird at first, but I appreciate the level of consistency they have about keeping the exams fair for everyone! My testing date was on February of 2021 and the site had all COVID precautions set up. There is parking on site for $14 the entire day. The location is clean and safe. The workers are very helpful and nice! There are lockers provided with a key to store your items and a palm check-in before you enter to take your test. You can choose between ear plugs, headphones or both. The scratch paper is a laminated grid paper and a non-permanent maker. I would return to this testing center! read more

If I could give ZERO I would. I need accommodations and this organization, not the specific testing center but the overall company of Pearson Vue, has been the absolute worst to deal with. What I really need are accommodations to deal with Pearson Vue. Customer service is in another country. Constantly put on hold. Constantly checking. Hard to understand the customer service people who have no clue. Impossible to find a date that works for me. I have called at least 10 times to get this scheduled and I still am having issues. It is unfortunate that Pearson View is a monopoly. They are simply atrocious. read more

I recently took my NCLEX at this location. Overall, I liked the whole facility. Since we are in the middle of a pandemic, I was worried about safety measures. But I must say that they are very clean and thorough. The receptionist was very polite and was smiling to every person coming in. I scheduled my NCLEX-PN at 8am and I arrived at 7:20am because I wanted to take the test earlier. It was not difficult to find the location at all. PARKING: the building has parking for $14 (cash or card is available). Visitors can only park on the 5th floor. There are also available parking lots nearby. TESTING CENTER: The testing center is on the 8th floor. Make sure that you READ EVERYTHING posted on the door BEFORE ENTERING. They have instructions to WASH your hands first before entering the room and make sure you have your mask on at all times unless instructed to remove. Suggestion for them is to make a bigger sign saying "please read before entering." -- because I honestly did not see that piece of paper in the bottom. I was checked in by the receptionist. I was number 3. She was very thorough, nice, and respectful. I handed my ID and did all the protocols required for check-in. She took my picture and handed me the key to my locker for belongings. TIP: DO NOT bring any gadgets or study materials with you. YOU DO NOT NEED IT. Also, no watches, bracelets, or necklaces. I only brought my ID and car keys. That's it. Overall, I loved my experience. Staff was atrociously rude. I was nervous about my exam so my mind was very one track. I knocked on the door and a lady pops out staps the sign about needing a mask and shuts the door. The intake lady came out the testing room to bring me back and said lets go. I grabbed the door to hold for her so we can walk in and she becomes discustingly rude. Asked to see my ID so i show it to her yells at me to move closer so I do (meanwhile my ID stayed in the same location). Then she tells me not to touch "her" do and to calm down that she's in charge and I need to listen to what she says. I've never in my life been treated with such disrespect. I will NEVER return to this location and will NEVER recommend this location to anyone else. read more

This place deserved one star, but the workers there were nice and patient. They were just REALLY slow checking everyone in. My scheduled exam was on Wednesday morning at 8 AM. I arrived at the testing center at 7:40 AM, twenty minutes before my scheduled exam. I waited and waited until they finally call up my number at 8 AM! The time I'm actually supposed to be taking the test. After the check in process, there's ANOTHER waiting process. The one where they ask yourself to pat down your body and to enter the testing room. That additional wait was almost another thirty minutes!!!!! How can they be that slow in entering people in??? That legit took over 45 minutes of waiting! Also did I mention I parked at a lot two blocks away and paid for 2 hours for parking?? YEAH 45 minutes wasted right there. My friend also came in right on the dot at 7:30. She didn't get called until 8:15 for the pat down. I'm never coming back to the Pasadena location. I had a much better experience at Alhambra. The parking there was only 5$ flat rate. I also scheduled an 8 AM exam time, and it took less than 15 minutes to actually get seated into one. read more

I went to this location today for my SPI Exam Board . Most of the reviews that I read here , complained about the parking spot, however, I parked my car 2 blocks away from the building with only 5$ for 6 hrs. The location of this branch is so good and easy to find. They are located at Union Bank building on the 8th floor,#840. Ladies who were working in this location,were absolutely nice and heart tender.They feel and understand you more than anyone, so don't listen to bad comments, because I saw a different version today. Best place to get your Exam. I just passed my board exam without any problem. Everything is just set up for you. They even want me to take the exam 2 hrs before my actual exam time. Everyone on staff that I encountered was very professional, yet warm. It was very soothing and much needed during this stressful time (I was there to take the SPHR exam). As for parking, this is directly from the email sent by Pearson: Paid parking is available in the building Monday through Friday for $1.40 per each 20 minutes up to 2 hours then is $12.60 for all day parking. Horrid horrid horrid place !!!! Terrible facilities, they do ZERO to handle noise control. My exam had the next door store moving FURNITURE around with SO much noise. I was trying to do intense math problems, and there were people writing essays HAMMERING on the computers. The modulator was NO where to be found when I had questions. He didn't know the answer to ANY of my questions about the test before I started. Bathroom was DISGUSTING.... their one water dispenser was out of order. No earplugs. RUDE HORRID staff!!!! Testing Facility: Decent, clean, spacious waiting area. The testing area was a bit crowded and I could see myself getting distracted with that many typing noises going around in the room (they do provide ear plugs). I was fortunate enough to be assigned to computer 1, though, which was in it's own room. Speed: There was a bit of a wait when signing in and the testing rooms did look pretty crowded. I was here on a Monday evening though. Coming in 30 min in advance didn't seem necessary. Service: Friendly and enthusiastic employees. Parking: $1 every 30 min at the Common's parking structure on Shopping Ln (Parallel to the east of S. Lake). But street parking is free for over an hour after 6pm, so you might be able to time appropriately. Overall it's a good testing place if you're in the area, but I personally don't like to deal with more urban environments (finding parking, one way streets, potential traffic, etc.) in stressful testing situations like this so compared to more suburban locations it lost a star. read more

Nice, clean place to take exams! Expensive parking CASH ONLY!!! Use google maps to find the place and just look for the Union Bank building. Parking is $12.60 (they say they have an hourly rate but they don't... Went at 7:30am-ish and there was no parking attendant. But when I was leaving, I found a notice taped to my car to pay) Park on 5B of parking structure where it says "Visitor Parking" You walk-in, they ask you what test you're taking, and they give you a laminated info sheet and tell you to take a #. You can't use your phone or study in the waiting area so it's really REALLY boring just sitting there waiting. Then they call you up by number to check ID, scan your palm print, and take a photo of you for further identification. Then you get a key for a locker and ANOTHER number to wait to take your test. More boring waiting~ My testing appointment was at 8am, and I was called to start the exam at around 8:15. I wouldn't bother coming 30min early like I did. 5-10min early should be enough. There were people that came late and it was fine. The testing room was kinda cold so I wished I brought a jacket. All the people who guided me through the process before taking my test were very professional, friendly, and helpful, even though it was a Saturday. Big thank you's to all the employees who were so kind and calmly served us. The only downside was parking!!! I got to the building at 3:05 (my test was at 3:30) but the gate to the parking garage was closed so I aimlessly and anxiously drove around the building and lake avenue for 15 minutes. I saw another yelp review saying that on Saturday's you press a button for security to open the garage for you, but there was no such button. It happened that someone was coming out as I was still trying to figure out what to do so that's how I entered. After my test, I asked one of the employees at pearson how I was supposed to enter the garage. Apparently, you need to call the pearson center number and the people in the office will open the gate for you. So for anyone who comes to take a test on a Saturday, call the center for them to open the gate for you!! The parking for the building ended up being $14.99 for me and I was parked there for 2 hours and 43 minutes. Overall a positive experience with the center and the people who worked there, just the parking was not ideal, especially when you're stressed about taking your test. read more

Pearsonvue Pasadena testing center is so noisy! If you want to fail in the NCLEX-RN exam, choose Pearsonvue Pasadena, there was a lot of typing and clicking going on inside our testing room the whole morning! You were not helping the NCLEX-RN test takers! Close this test center immediately!!! They allowed not NCLEX-RN test takers to share in one room with the NCLEX-RN test takers. The exam administrator did not care that those people were so noisy typing and clicking the hard mouse!!! Those test takers were so noisy typing loudly and clicking the mouse so loud the whole morning of my exam. Eventhough I wore the ear plugs and the noise cancelling headset, the noise was still so loud!!! Why are you not considerate to the NCLEX-RN test takers? We need a quiet room in order for us to concentrate on the long case studies, questions and sata answer choices and not a room that is so loud and noisy!!!! We paid a lot for the exam you should prepare a quiet room for us!!! We were used to studying in a quiet room but during the exam it was so noisy and loud!!!! Close this test center for NCLEX-RN test takers immediately!!! You are the reason why there were so many NCLEX-RN test takers could not concentrate in their readings and in answering all questions! and end up failing in their exams! This review is for Pearson Vue testing center. The overall exam was pleasant, I would have given the center 4/5 stars. However, the overall experience is a 2 star because of the PERVERTED old, Caucasian male staff/proctor who works there. Just to be clear, this is not an individual case. My female coworkers went to the same testing center for the exam and was also harassed by this disgusting being. Just fyi this happened when I went to the testing center almost a year ago and my coworker went about 3 months ago, so we don't know if he's still working there. Examples of harassment below: 1) This dude, who looks older than my grandpa, looked at my passport ID and and asked if I am a model. He then proceeded to stick out his tongue and lick his lower lips slowly. I said no and just kind of glared at him to hurry up the process. He said I was pretty, and should be a model. He also said that I need to touch myself from head to toe to make sure that I am not hiding anything to cheat, and told me to pat myself on the rear at least least 3 times before saying ok. At this point I was really grossed out, but I studied too hard for the exam and just didn't have time for any show-down with this dude. I was worried that he may retaliate by not letting me take the exam or do something shady. After the test, I though about telling the other staff, but they were busy on the other side of the testing center and I just didn't know if that would make any difference. 2) Coworker encountered the same dude and he commented that her hair "smells nice", and said he like that particular fruit's smell. He asked her to take off her jacket and complimented her "nice figure". He asked to see her necklace, and got in really close to her chest for a clearer view. read more

Located in the Union Bank Building intersection of Green Street & Lake Avenue. If the building is locked, wait for the security up front to open the door. They will direct you to the 8th floor. *You may not leave Pearson room without a key Parking: Paid parking in the building for $1.40 each 20 minutes up to 2 hours & then $12.60 for all day parking. I parked in the parking structure on 80 South Lake Avenue but realized they limited the parking up until 2pm on Saturdays if you park on the 2nd floor. So luckily the worker at the corner Starbucks opened the gate for me to exit. Starbucks is right across the street next to Wells Fargo where you're able to sit, relax, wait, study a little more, or need a public restroom. The check in process went smooth. The lady up front was super mellow, sweet, & welcoming. Way to be relaxed for those who are intensely waiting to take their exams. Grab a number until they call you. Show your valid photo identification & they do some type of hand print identification as well. You may bring your personal belongings; however, they give you a key to a locker for you to place everything in. Decent sized locker for you to put a small backpack inside. We were told by our professor that we're not allowed to bring anything along with our phones, but that's for inside the testing room only. We were also handed a rules agreement paper to read & what's funny enough, the gentleman next to me blurted out that he didn't want to read it because he's trying to keep the information that he studied for in his head. They're very general rules. As I got called in to walk into the testing room, an administrator is right outside of the room basically being everyone's "guard" making sure you're not cheating, eating, disobeying the rules, etc. Give them your ID, get hand printed again, more instructions on what to do when you finish the exam, & they walk you to your testing station. Some serious stuff if you want to be identified as the correct person getting certified, licensed, or being tested by the state. As soon as I finished my computerized exam... I flipped! Of course, I did! I passed. It was the most nerve racking feeling sitting next to 10 other people who are being tested for their NCLEX, Pharmacy tech, Paramedic, Phlebotomy, you name it all! You feel the intensity of the entire building. Okay, I may have been over exaggerating, but you can definitely see how nervous everyone was. So credits to the staff here, they made it as less anxious for many of us. Will possibly choose this testing center again for another future exam. read more

Even though this is one of the places that no one wants to go to...Pearson at least tries to make it a decent experience. I've had the unfortunately opportunity of coming here twice already. Not unfortunate because of Pearson but because of needing to take tests. So the first time I came, I drove and parked in their structure. It was pretty expensive to park for 4 hours. I don't exactly remember the amount but if you can get dropped off, I suggest it. As for the testing center, it is located on the 8th floor. The experience was organized and the staff made it as pleasant as possible. If you have your test in the morning, you will be asked to take a number so that they can keep everyone in order. Once you number is called, you can check in. The restrooms are right outside and down the hall (remember to grab a key). Finally, the waiting area has water for you to moisten your mouth for the nervousness. If you ever have to come and you have your test in the morning, try to come as early as possible so that you can grab a number earlier. The check-in process can take a while even with two people checking people in. If you are taking your test in the afternoon, you don't have to arrive so early since most people take their tests in the morning. All in all, the staff is there to help and they make the experience as good as it can get. They are supportive and professional. read more

I came on a Wednesday to take my NCLEX. I'm still a bit traumatized from the exam, but I won't let that affect my review. First off, this Union Bank building is located on East Green and South Lake. Right across the street from a Starbucks, which is a convenient place to pick up a quick snack if you need! The parking is quite expensive... $12.60. I'm sure you can find cheaper elsewhere if you know the area or have scouted the place out. I came early to the testing center and was greeted. The lady handed me rules about the test and i grabbed a number and waited. The whole process was easy and went smoothly. You put your cellphone in a bag and you can't access it until after you've completed the exam. Lockers are provided. Put everything in there... nothing allowed on your wrist or in your pockets! Better be safe than sorry. You're video and sound recorded while you're taking the exam... kinda creepy, but you have no choice. Ear plugs are provided for your convenience and comfort. I had no problems while taking the exam and the proctor was nice. Everything went smoothly... I just hope i passed! read more

Good proctors, clean, Good size lockers and quick staff. This place was pretty good to take the GMAT. Parking is 13 bucks in the lot downstairs. Starbucks across the way makes a good breakfast stop and there are many lunch options within walking distance. Get there a bit earlier to get situated. There are two separate testing areas and there is an escort for you when you need to check out for restrooms. The restrooms are outside and require a key from the sign in desk. They were clean. One star off for the cost of parking but then again, there is no such thing as free lunch is there? read more

I had a smooth experience here :) Everyone was professional. But it is true that there is a strict policy! Not even chapsticks or hairbands are allowed (unless the hairband is already in your hair). The place was clean, but this place was quite hidden. (8th floor, end of the hall on your right), I wouldn't have guessed there would be a testing center in this building. Advice for those who are taking a test: If you CAN, choose for a 5 pm or 6 pm testing time :) You can park on the streets (Green Street!) for an hour between 9 am - 6 pm. So you're good 5 pm - 6 pm, and you'll still be good afterwards! Save yourself $13!!! or the walking distance. :) I arrived at 5pm, and they allowed me to start then, glad I didn't have to wait til 6 (my scheduled time). Good luck :D read more

Great staff, excellent location to take your test. I don't understand some of the negative reviews on here, and after reading them, I went in expecting a not so great experience. Totally not the case! They had taken all the necessary precautions for COVID-19, including sanitizers, social distancing, requiring masks etc. I was greeted by an older gentleman who was very friendly and professional. I was then given a locker and was escorted to my seat. Each test taker sat at least a few desks apart, and each desk was equipped with nose cancelling headphones which were amazing. I had a lot of anxiety about the test but given how pleasant the staff were and how clean and well organized the center was, it really put me at ease and helped me focus. Yeah, paying $13 for parking sucks, but otherwise I can't complain about this place. I was signed up to take the GMAT at 3:30pm today, so of course I showed up in Pasadena around 1:30... Got tired of sitting around the coffee shop so I strolled over around 2:45 and asked if I could start early. They said that would be no problem and read me the rules, scanned my palms, took my picture, and sent me on my merry way. Overall the workers were pleasant, helpful, and responsive... One asked me how I felt the test was going during a break, which I suppose was meant to alleviate my anxiety, but just made me more anxious because I didn't know how to answer (since I was so anxious). SILVER LINING: If this place were in an office building downtown and they didn't validate, you'd be paying $40 to park! read more

Came here to take my PCTB Exam. Parking is around $12 and there is a lot so you don't have to worry about that. The location itself is pretty easy to find. Just make sure that you're asking the right people. Their receptionist was very friendly and helpful. They provide lockers for exams so most of your stuff will go in there. This review is aimed mainly at Pearson vue. This is an organization that hold everyone else to very high standards and strict protocol, but does not apply the same standard to themselves. After struggling to schedule this test on their lousy antiquated website, and paying my $99 I prepared for my test for 3 months. When I arrived at the testing center there was the insulting experience of having to pay cash up front for parking to the tune of $12.50. The building is occupied by a bank, and the parking attendant does not take credit card. Oh, the irony. I had to use their ATM... Pearson's is sure to notify you of many things, but the parking scenario is not one. thanks. When I registered for the test, I was not allowed to use my own writing utensil. I was forced to remove my watch from my wrist. My watch? "there's a clock in the room". sure. one lousy clock in an inconvenient location depending on your seat. When I was going through I kept thinking, "wow, this is kind of like jail. They really are suspicious of people cheating, and they hold the integrity of their testing process to a high standard. I GET IT. ok, it's a necessary evil" So naturally I was horrified and outraged as I began my music test, and on only the third question, the audio example played through my headphones was PLAYING BACKWARDS. The test was clearly and obviously malfunctioning. I raised my hand. I was told, "sir, please lower your voice". Of course as you might expect, no one could fix the test. They called 'someone', rebooted the computer, half-hearted attempts to fix the test to no avail. Now, I'm just waiting for my experience to be refuted. Watch. That's my prediction. They'll claim the test worked fine. outcome pending. No one at the test center would actually LISTEN to the example. They're not qualified or given authority to do anything. YOU SUCK, PEARSON VUE. Pearson vue and the whole testing organization is third party vendor after third party vendor. You will not be able to determine who is responsible for anything. If you ask them a specific question on the phone, they will say you need to contact the testing center. If you ask the testing center, they will tell you to call Pearson. I get the motive here: MAKE PROFIT. KEEP OVERHEAD LOW. AVOID RESPONSIBILITY. Maintain the integrity of the product so that no one 'cheats' or shares information. whatever... I want to warn everyone about the parking. They do not take credit cards, just cash and check. This is a really big deal and I wish Pearson would let us know this before we got to the site. I usually never carry cash but I had $20 for emergencies. Parking for visitors is on the 5th floor, FYI. read more
