Outside Pearson Testing Center
Andrew H.

Went to the Pearson Professional Center to take my GMAT back in December 2023. Parked at the lot next to the LA Fitness. Very quiet testing zone and the front desk + proctors were super nice and straightforward. I was assigned personal lockers to store my belongings before taking the test. I was not allowed to bring any drinks or items except for the locker key + identification. Computers are as simple as you can get. Think of your local library computers. Primitive and gets the job done. Restrooms are clean and the overall experience was very decent. If I were to take another test, I wouldn't mind this location. The only picture I have is outside the Pearson Testing Center before the GMAT test. Yes - it was very peaceful.

I've been getting messages with a few more questions about this center: * Do they offer earbuds? Yes. They do provide earplugs individually wrapped and you can even wear them under the headphones for extra noise canceling. I opted for the earplugs (they fit better). * Do they charge parking on all weekdays? I believe they do charge all weekdays, I could be mistaken. Have some cash on hand in the event they do, but if they don't I can update my tip to add that detail. *What was the check-in process like? Check-in was quick. You walk in, tell the person at the front desk what test you are here for, then you take a number. *What was the lobby like? The seats were socially distanced. Waiting for your number to be called took about 15-20 minutes. Then they take your information and give your test instructions. You also have your picture taken and they give you a locker. *Do they check your bag? I don't believe they even check your bag because you have to leave everything in the locker. Make sure your phone is on silent/no alarms are left on your phone since it gets locked in the locker. *Can you check your bag during the break? Not sure. I would ask the front desk when you check-in. My exam did not have a break. (I passed it by the way! Just got results last week) Good luck you guys, you'll do great!

Nice area with tons of tables and chairs right outside the building

Great testing center. There is parking easily available and the center offers earplugs and noise cancelling headphones.

The facility is clean and the staff is so professional and nice. Parking was $6 I think for the whole day.

I sat in #18 room 1 and I'll never forget NCLEX shut off at 75Q and I was shocked and scared at the same time.

First to review! In this day and age where there is still stigma when talking about self-help…read moreissues, it is great when people could seek help from someone who makes you feel at ease, and takes their time to get to know you while helping you. This was all gathered from my first impression with Ms. Chan when the child of my close friend had their first visit. It wasn't until the follow-up visits that I saw the consistency in her care that I decided to write this review, cos when it comes to wellness you do not want to recommend the wrong people to others. A great plus is that the grandparent was able to come along for the next visit and understood what was going on with their grandchild cos Ms. Chan aside from English also speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and surprisingly Chiu Chow too! Aside from mental health, during my waits I noticed Ms. Chan also provides services for education as well, from advocacy to assessments. The visits so far have been great, my friend's child is in a comfort zone with Ms. Chan and is helping my friend better understand her child's case on hand. However it's not just toddlers or teens only, I've seen families and couples visit too!

A close friend of mine had suggested I meet with a therapist to alleviate my worries. At first, I was hesitant of the idea as it's often uncomfortable to tell a stranger your personal thoughts and feelings about your life, but all the uncertainty disappeared after my initial telehealth session with Dr. Chan. Dr. Chan was not only caring and knowledgeable, but she gave very thoughtful feedback and suggestions on how to implement little practices into my daily routines and tasks that were triggering my anxiety. With a very relaxed demeanor, our sessions felt more like a friend just being there for me through these hard times. The conversations just flowed naturally, and Dr. Chan remembered every little detail I mentioned as if she had known me a long time. With just a few sessions, I feel a lot more calm with her advice. I'm viewing the obstacles that life throws at us as opportunities to grow instead of fearing them. The idea of therapy sessions initially seemed scary, but I highly recommend anyone that had similar hesitations to meet with Dr. Chan, as I had a very uplifting and positive experience.

Platt college was by far the smartest decision I've made this past year. I remember coming into…read morethis college feeling desperate. Hoping to get guidance and great advice for this new chapter I was trying to start for my daughter and I. And, that's exactly what I got. Every single step of the way I had someone to guide me and support me. I was able to start a program that suited my interest and has given me so much motivation to move forward for my daughter and for myself. This year at platt has flown by and I complete the Ma program in just a matter of months and l couldn't be happier I also couldn't have asked for a better counselor Scarleth. She especially has become someone who I can go running to for any issue or guidance at school. She and Richard have made this experience so meaningful and easy to get through. All in all platt is my safe place and if you're looking for guidance and a strong push to move forward THIS IS THE PLACE.

Single parents are making huge sacrifices to go to school, so they do not have to depend on government assistance and then you gaslight them, making them feel bad because they have obligations. School is first, I'm sorry, children are first and always will be. Did you forget about DCFS, if you don't take care of your kids they will. We want parents to strive for success and not sabotage their career by adding another hurdle in the way of supporting their kids on their own. I read another negative yelp on respiratory therapy after I posted mine. My hope this helps single parents who are searching for a career about their decision to attend this school for respiratory therapist. I also hope it changes the direction and focus of the school to help support our future. This is a technical school to learn a trade and it can be costly to choose this route. Let's support our future by talking to them, not making them feel bad because they have kids or other responsibilities with them, instead let's encourage, support and provide empathy to help them complete their desire to flourish as a respiratory therapist.

It was frustrating that the Director/Owner ignored my messages despite my trying multiple times to resolve the issue with the site director before reaching out to her. The staff says what you want to hear, but again and again no change is made. Disappointing from an owner that is a former educator so she is well aware of the screen time limits and recommendations for elementary aged children. I have noticed that some sites are being run much better than others, so be aware to actually check on what your child is doing each day there after homework is done. Don't rely on the staff, but check internet usage and ask your child. Maybe your school site program differs.
