Citrus college is cool and has nice resources, but the librarians are the absolute worst. They are very rude and will kick you out early just because they want to begin closing. On top of that, the library is only open until 8pm and does not adjust for finals week. Compared to other schools in the area such as Mt. Sac where the library is open until midnight. They just kicked me out of a room because "they have a big group coming", yet i was sitting in a room that does not require a reservation and I have yet to see this alleged "group" come into the library and use the room I was in 30 minutes after being kicked out. Now my group of 5 is stuck outside waiting for a reserved room to become available so that we may study for our Midterm just because they kicked me out of the large room that does not require a reservation. Like I said, the school is nice and has a university feel to it however, the librarians are some of the meanest, most rude, and lazy librarians I have ever met and they have no concern for the students of Citrus College and their study time. Thanks for your time

The counseling staff is amazing!!!! here, not so much the admission and records the lady who handles the transcripts hates her job for sure ! But I would definitely recommend this school

Cashier line doesn't look too bad

It's a private Division II Christian University that has two campuses a few blocks from each other. Their motto is God First and the university is beaming of His Light. They offer a free and frequent shuttle to go to/from East - West campus. The library, sports center and science building are on the west campus and are amazing. These buildings are newer and well designed. The main book store is also here near the sport center to buy your APU swag. Starbucks is on campus with many other food places. If you are still hungry, there are hundreds of food places next to campus, such as Chick-Filet, Canes, chipotle, Panda Express, Applebee's, Del Taco, Ramen, Mexican, Thai, Boba tea and much much more. The dorms are more spacious than other universities. Engstrom Hall has dual dorms that house 4 students with one adjoining, shared bathroom among the two dorm rooms. This is much better than the huge communal style bathroom for dozens. Overall, this private Christian university is about making good, smart and humble servants who can make a positive difference in the world while putting God first always. Go Cougars!

My wife went to attend a night class and parked in an student open-parking lot where she has already bought a semester parking permit. Yet she was given a parking violation ticket - for what? Could you believe in this day and age just for parking head-out in the marked parking spot because there was so few cars in the lot that she had the courtesy to pull ahead to park at the next row? Isn't parking with your head out safer than with the car's butt out (when you need to reverse your car to get out with limited vision and a lot of blind spots if not careful)? OK, so we appeal and disputed the ticket online. It was refused! But was given a second in-person appeal by calling in for info. My wife called and was told that the officer handling the appeal would come only once a month, BUT wife was given a date which was one day late! Deliberately or not you can only guess! We arrived at campus security den to find out that the personal appeal session was just yesterday! They overwhelmingly denied that they had given a wrong date over the phone! Unflinching liars who even mocked us by saying that we were too loud in our frustration! Heck! Did they expect thank you's and flowers for their "great job?" I would be OK if given a ticket for any head out or back-in parking that would cause imminent danger to anyone or any building structure (in some places the posted highly visible signs to that effect warning against head-out/back-in parking as it would hit an air vent, lamp post, railing or something). But parking in an open-air wide space parking lot that is sparsely populated at night without any clear visible signs about this antiquated rule? Tell me one thing Campus Security, why do you even have such a rule in the first place??? Citrus College's campus security is not better than a bunch of overzealous cops-wanna-be practicing law in the dark ages without reason but on per se basis only! Blah! Visitors and students beware! AVOID!

Ms. Gisela, along with Jasmine from the financial aid who assisted me, was very helpful and supportive throughout the process. Their professionalism and care made a big difference in my decision to move forward with the program. Additionally, I am now attending the soft skills class facilitated by Mr. Chris. I enrolled for the electrician program and my first instructor Chris Fanin had no idea what he was doing. He never followed the lesson plan that was provided to him and just kept talking about how he lost his wife and daughter to a car accident. Needless to say that was incredibly uncomfortable for all of us enrolled in his class. There were times where we would ask questions about the days topic and he would just continue to talk about his wife and daughter or show us magic tricks SMH * Some of the students brought this to the attention of the higher ups but nothing was done. 3 months later we moved on to the more advanced courses taught by Sidney Singco, he was the absolute best instructor we had, but it was difficult for us because he had to teach us the lessons that the first instructor failed to teach us which made this incredibly hard. My other frustration with this school was dealing with career services. I went through 3 career service representatives and none could help me. 1 rep was moved to help a different course, the 2nd rep helped me with a rough draft resume then ended up quitting and told none of the students, the 3rd rep was incredibly immature that she kept making off hand jokes and literally lied to me that she would be able to find me leads/work. It went as far as she lied about my records claiming I had work, even saying that I owned my own business. She did all that just so she could get more funding for the school. I didn't even hear back from her for about 2 months later after I reached out. It's so incredibly strange that when you do or say something positive online about this school they completely ignore and forget about you. I graduated October of last year and have had ZERO work as an electrician. This school is a joke and a giant scam, the "leads" that they send you lead to dead end after dead end. At one point one of the leads my resume was sent to was for a window washing company, while another interview was for a building that was abandoned. Even the temp agency I was sent to was a joke. Seriously, save yourself the embarrassment and avoid this school at ALL COSTS!!!
