The cake is really tasty! They had lots of fun flavors too. The staff were very knowledgeable and efficient in packing up our slices. The inside is small but very cute with fun patterned tea ware and tables. Would def come back for cake and tea.

I happen to notice Caked Goods while at another new cafe diagonally across the intersection (7/27/25). So decided to check it out on this sunny Sunday. This woman/Filipina owned business is also related to Lola's Traveling Tea Party. Their brick and mortar re-opened recently a few days ago after a refresh of the previous Simply Desserts. Onsite there's limited seating for up to 8 maybe 9, pair of two tops and the other is a table at the window nook. There's tea, espresso, hot cocoa, and milk available. But the focus is on the pastry case filled with whole cakes that are available by the slice for $9.50. I also saw cupcakes and a bar cookie/blondie that were available. There's also tea-centric merch, most likely when Lola's Traveling Tea Party special events are in session. The now shuttered Simply Desserts holds a lot of memories while frequenting Seattle's quirky, evolving Fremont neighborhood over the decades. However, Caked Goods is an established specialty cake and events purveyor. They should do well in this current location with high visibility and pedestrian traffic. The current road construction adds to the traffic and parking challenges, but stop by when in the neighborhood for high quality, fresh, moist cake slices. Cakes featured in the pastry case during my visit included: Chocolate Fudge, Confetti Sprinkles, Chocolate White Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Chocolate Caramel, Ube White Chocolate, and Strawberry White Chocolate. I also a blondie bar cookie and Black Bottom Cupcakes. Usually I gravitate towards chocolate cake slices, but this afternoon I had a slice of Confetti Sprinkles ($11.50 w/tax & tip) while onsite. I enjoyed that it was moist, not heavy on the icing, and not cloyingly sweet. Happy to see a dozen people come in as I was wrapping up my leisurely cake indulgence. My cake bat signal still works, lol. Lovely spot for a sweet treat.

I was really excited to visit this shop, appreciated the variety of cake flavors & was told they rotate every week! I tried the ube cake and the cake was a bit dry for my preference but the flavor was otherwise good.

Came around 1-2pm on a weekend and they still had a full pastry case! I always love seeing that…read morelater in the day since some other cafes are getting empty around that time. They have so many yummy options, but I settled on a mushroom and Gruyère pastry and an earl grey blueberry cruffin. The mushroom and Gruyère pastry was SO good!!! Buttery flaky layers of dough with a strong earthy mushroom flavor and savory cheese - an absolute umami bomb. We ate it the day after and threw it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes, and it was so delicious. The cruffin was huge! Topped with a delicious light Earl grey cream that wasn't too sweet. It was filled with a blueberry cream and was definitely very filling. There's a lot of sugar coating it, as is standard with cruffins, but it's a nice sweet treat. Definitely coming back for the mushroom and Gruyère pastry and to try their other delicious flavors. Their supreme croissant flavor switches often and we can't wait to try the next one! One of the best bakeries I've been to in Seattle so far.

I originally planned to just grab a coffee and a croissant, but after noticing how popular the mushroom Gruyere croissant seemed, I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. It was incredibly delicious, perfectly filling, and even better when warmed up. The staff member kindly offered to heat it for me, which really elevated the whole experience. While they serve Umbria coffee, which isn't my personal favorite, the food more than made up for it. The service was warm and friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try the mushroom croissant again or maybe explore some of their other pastries next time.

This very small pie that is $45 and it's just not that impressive for the very high price. It's less than 1 inch thick and barely 8 inches. I guess if you're in the city and you don't have a lot of options it's pretty good but if you know anything about pies, this small pie for $45 is a little outrageous. If this is going to be your one thing, it should be way better than this. I would recommend checking out other bakeries in the Seattle area that make pies and in my experience it's a better value and as good and in most cases generally better. I love making a good strawberry rhubarb pie but my pies generally have about 3 to 4 times the amount of filling and are generally in a much more normal pie pan. The rhubarb and strawberry was perfectly acceptable for the flavor, but the crust was a little soft. I suspect a lot of these reviews are date nights and people wandering around on evening outings and looking for a fun experiences. I guess it meets that goal but I'm still just not impressed at the price and what you get for it. It's just not a good value. If you're going to do it, do it for the experience rather than expecting a spectacular pie. And if you find this pie impressive, you need to get out more. #Average. I would recommend the metropolitan market bakery for a better pie and a better value.

The cashier had to yell to make customers line up properly. The line was longer than I thought, and I wasn't in the mood to wait so I left empty handed the first time round. I had another chance the same day to revisit around 15 minutes before close, so I took that chance. There were only one other party being helped, and there were still plenty of baked goods to choose from. I was eyeing the demi baguette and the scone since the morning, so I got them. I was excited about the baguette because it was like $2.7 each, whereas the same thing costs like $6 at sea wolf. I wanted to find out if the baguette is as good as the one at sea wolf, and if so, I would start coming here because it's much closer to where I live. And Larsen's delivered on the baguette! It was dense in the right way and went well with the brie cheese I had on hand. Sea wolf's are kind of elevated with the half sourdough but Larsen's baguette tasted pretty on par for me, and you cannot beat the price here. This was a happy discovery! Scone was average. I am interested in trying their other stuff. It was interesting that they had a rather American baked goods like donuts and cookies. I'll take whatever is good and reasonably priced!

Love this place! Whenever I make it to Seattle I always try to stop here!…read more The cake flavors are always so interesting! The cake is never overly sweet and is just perfect. You can always taste each component of the cake and they always work so well together. Plus they are decorated so cutely as well. The space is super cute, not too big but has enough seating if you'd want to eat there. Street parking only. Service was great as well, the person behind the counter took her time explaining the flavor options and was patient with me as I selected a flavor. I tried the Keel Bill. The cake itself was super pretty, I loved the decorations. The flavors were very unique, not what you'd find at a typical bakery, which made it all the cooler. The flavor pairings were amazing and spot on (lychee gel was the best part), however the texture of the sponge cake ruined it for me. I paid $9 for a tiny slice (could have been bigger) that was super dry. Did not enjoy eating it. Sadly, they have so much potential, I was so looking forward to it.

I love that they had different options of fruit to pick from and I chose blueberry! The pastry was perfectly flaky and I loved how fresh the blueberry tasted. My boyfriend ordered the chocolate croissant because he was excited at the idea of the chocolate being piped through the croissant and also drizzled over the top, but it turns out the dark brown parts on top are just design and not more chocolate. Hiroki is a cute little cafe. I've had it bookmarked for a bit because I love a cute cafe…read more I think it's well suited as a neighborhood cafe. I got the matcha tiramisu, which is pricy and quite frankly for me wasn't really worth the cost but it's also not something I would make myself. The flavor felt rather heavy on the cheese which makes sense given the type of cake but not what I was expecting. As a dessert it wasn't too sweet and I found that between the latte and the cake, they were on similar levels. By default, the latte is hot. They do charge more for alternative milk and serving it iced which I found a bit unusual. I wasn't particularly wow-ed but it wasn't bad. Overall I wasn't overly impressed but it's a cute cafe with unique enough servings. I did what any reasonable person would and decided to grab some dessert to go for later... Anywho, as soon as I popped in I spotted the items in the display case that I've been wanting to try. The Matcha Tiramisu, and the Hojicha Cheesecake. Ready for the actual reasonable decision? I got only one of the two items. :( Yep I decided on the Matcha Tiramisu. It was a light 4 layered treat. The top layer was of this matcha cream dusted with matcha powder. Laid on top a thin soaked layer of cake on top of another layer of that matcha cream on top of an unsoaked layer of cake. Right off the bat, not too bitter or earthy. Not too sweet or dense. aesthetically pleasing. The interesting thing is that if you eat all 4 layers at the same time. The prominent flavor that comes through is the soaked layer of cake which then transitions to the Matcha. I found that I could enjoy the different dimensions by eating each layer alternately followed by all the layers at the same time. Overall quick process and enjoyed the dish. Definitely coming back for that Hojicha Cheesecake though.
