Solid five stars for customer service. This place isn't very easy to find. I walked along 18 street and Market Street and couldn't find it. I called the store to give me directions, and was answered right away. You need to enter through the black gate. They put a couple of signs by the gate. The girl came out from the store as we were talking on the phone to make sure that I could find it. What a service. The store is in the middle of the walkway, you will notice the outdoor tables and chairs. The two ladies there are super friendly. The desserts are neatly displayed in glass cases. Looks very inviting. I got the coffee mousse, midnight blossoms with raspberry filling, and the mango cheesecake. All of them are enjoyable and not overly sweet. My favorite is the mango cheesecake because it has a thin mango jelly that taste like a slice of mango.

Location was a bit hard to find when using google maps and had to circle the block in order to locate the entrance. The server was sweet and was very nice in letting us know when the store was closing. Place was clean, and lots of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the peach oolong tea and passion fruit mousse. The tea was really good and not super sweet which I appreciated. The mouse had great passion fruit flavor and not overly sweet - the only negative is the circular cookie ring. It didn't have much flavor and was soggy. Will comeback to try other desserts and drinks!

I got a banana latte and the passion fruit mousse cake. Both are really good and I'm very happy with them. The inside is incredibly cute and cozy- I stopped in on my lunch break and I regret not bringing my book with me so I could have eaten there instead of back in my cubicle. The person working was very friendly and happy to recommend things to me. I will definitely be back. It's not hard to find- if you're standing on Market street facing 1735 Market Street Building, you'll see a side alley/corridor thing to your left that has a black gate at the entrance. Go down there and you'll see the storefront. There were tables and umbrellas outside too. I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to find it

Tucked away in the middle of the block, this cafe could be easy to miss, but I'd definitely make sure to give this place a visit. This is their 3rd location, and I can't speak about the other ones, but this center city installment is a great addition to the area. Walking inside, you are greeted with such warm vibes and the delectable display of all those vibrant pastries. Besides those sweets, they also serve decent coffee and food as well. I've tried my hand at a couple of their entrees and I definitely recommend the sous vide beef kimchi rice bowl. It is definitely refreshing to feel the asian influence sprinkled throughout the menu. There's a good amount of seating inside, and there's some outside as well. I do like how the entrance doesn't face the street, so it isn't as distracting. It definitely makes the place feel more cozy. I'll definitely be back to check out more of the menu and get some work done.

Caramel macchiato and plain croissant

Pastries look like what you would see in a magazine! We went for a big plain croissant! My favorite pastry but this was huge and flaky. They heated up! Wow!! So good when it's warm! Friendly, very clean!! Outside sitting too. Little chilly to sit outside maybe next time. I fell in love with the big windows! I had a caramel macchiato got me going, ready for my day! Prices were similar to our coffee places in the Fishtown area. Thank you Cake & Joe for getting my day moving! They do have other flavor croissants. Differently have to try a different flavor.

Delightful! I had the tortellini dumpling soup and the oreo mousse. Both were so delicious. Staff were great and the service was quick. It was not crowded at lunch time and the outside courtyard was quiet and secluded.

Came here for a slice of cake. I got the chocolate mousse. The bottom didn't really stick to the rest of the cake but it was a good cake slice either way. They have some seating inside and outside and some food options as well. I want to try the one with coffee cause it looks like the closest to an opera cake.

Loved the variety of beautiful little cakes - I got the midnight blossom and it was delightful - very flavorful, soft and delicious. I got a pistachio latte with oat milk too which was fine. I'd definitely go back to try more pastries. There was ample seating inside and outside but I got mine to go - they packaged it in a nice sturdy box.

I'm actually really upset that I stopped by this café... and let me tell you why…read more I'm not from the area--in fact, I live in Los Angeles, about 2,700 miles away. My family and I were in Philly for a World Cup match and decided to stop in for a chai latte and a coffee. There was a short line, and when it was our turn, we were greeted by the sweetest employee. She was incredibly welcoming, patient, and took the time to explain the different coffee blends they offered. We ended up getting the Colombia blend, which my husband absolutely loved. Now, why do I regret coming here? Because this was, without a doubt, the BEST chai latte I have ever had in my life. It completely ruined every other chai latte for me. The bar has been set so high that every chai I've had since has been a disappointment. I can't wait to make it back to Philly!

Inside AC is blasting (in a good way) so if you run cold, bring your jacket! I don't think the chairs are that comfy to stay long, and not very suitable to have a coffee yap with friends. If you buy their coffee beans (which is so economical!!) you'll get a free drink of choice!! I had their pumpkin spice latte w oat milk and it was tasty! Not overtly sweet and tasted like autumn and crunchy leaves! The staff seemed very nice and knowledgeable, not pretentious!

It is a very small shop, so there are only a few tables inside, along with a few outside depending on the weather. Although small, the interior is clean and cozy. A single restroom is available. Parking is on the street. Mild noise level. They have a good amount of drink options, including rotating specials, as well as pastries, bread, and misc items like granola and coffee beans. The drinks are delicious - definitely recommend their matcha. The pastries are huge, flavorful, and filling. Slightly dry but I did go right before closing. They have a nice variety of flavors (both sweet and savory), so most palettes will be satisfied. Prices are definitely fair. If I weren't just a traveler passing through, this would easily become a regular spot for me. It's at least on the "must return to" list! 10/10 recommend.

The drink was really sweet and tasted good, but I think I've officially decided I'm not a matcha fan lol. The venue is very nice - it's in the Touraine, the historic (1917) apartment building. I was immediately seated, and waited on by a very friendly and gracious server. Enswell was started by the founders of Rival Brothers Coffee - there's a coffee bar featuring the namesake brew. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich with a side of French Fries. I asked for my egg to be 'cooked through'. The restaurant makes its own English Muffins from a sourdough bread - they are outstanding! The farm eggs were cooked perfectly and the Cooper Sharp Cheese with a little mayo gave the sandwich a savory, rich taste. The French Fries were good - thin, a little crisp on the outside, but tender inside. They made a nice side with the sandwich. Well, I'm sorry I waited so long to try this wonderful little cafe! The Breakfast Sandwich is a must! I'll be anxious to stop back and try another dish!

One hell of a sleeper hit…read more Pretty much everyone in my party thought their food was great. I got the basic hotcakes and while pancakes sounded good to me, I wasn't expecting anything as good as this was. Sure, even from my photo, they look like nothing special, but I think this Little Pete's NAILS the classic American breakfast pancake. Most places get it wrong in one way - the flavor of the syrup, getting cold fast, being too soft, etc. But they got it PERFECT here. Everything was right. I'm mainly a fan of Cracker Barrel's pancakes, but those taste like they have a crack injection. This place keeps it simple, stupid - and does a damn good job at it.
