Great green chili! Breakfast is always great. Great staff... I would recommend to anyone.

I was at Bookies with a raging appetite and decided to yelp an early lunch. Catlin's fit the bill, as I am up for breakfast any meal of the day. I ordered an egg white omelette with veggies, topped with green chili. I had a Bloody Mary to drink. My meal was a-ok, nothing earth-shattering, but not bad either. I don't get all the praise for their green chili and their bloodys are a pre-made mix added to vodka, no spice or salad, save the obligatory olive. It is a decent choice if you are in the neighborhood and hungry, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it based on my experience. Maybe I just need to try something else. read more

I love Caitlin's. It's great hangover food. The staff is usually extremely friendly and the food is usually pretty great. Our server was great. It was quick. HOWEVER, the check out experience on a Sunday morning is less than ideal. They give you the check at the table to pay at the front. The man at the check out counter was literally drowning in tickets and showed extreme displeasure in having to split tickets. They use Aloha as a POS system which is extremely user friendly and NOT hard to figure out if you've set it up the right way. When he got up to the line he snapped and said "this is gonna take a while" as in, go sit back down until I'm ready for you. We didn't feel like waiting 30 minutes for him so we pulled out cash and asked him if we could just give him that and the change could go to the waiter. He was obviously annoyed and snatched the cash out of my friends hand. No have a good day. No thank you. Just clearly VERY upset at anyone who wanted to pay. Aloha is not a hard system. Get some training because you took a very nice experience and turned it into one where I wouldn't want to return because of the terrible man up front. And the worst part is he started yelling at employees rolling silverware as we were walking out so I think he may be management?!? Disappointing. read more

When I'm hungover, only one category of food will do: greasy food. It could be breakfast greasy food or lunchtime greasy food, but whatever goes in my mouth the day after a bender better be greasy. I arrived at Caitlin's with a pretty fuzzy brain and proceeded to look down the menu and a wide variety of options for both lunch and breakfast. Then I saw it: The green chili bacon burger. Oh yeah. That's what I wanted, but with one small modification. The waitress brought us our coffee (which I'm told was delicious, but I hate all coffee and reserve it only for the worst emergencies) and water and we ordered. When I asked for cream cheese on my burger, she looked at me like I was crazy, but I tell you here and now, that is a required condiment when eating a green chili burger. The burger arrived and the bottom bun was soaked in grease. That was a good sign. I got the cream cheese on the side and smeared on the top bun. The burger did not disappoint. I wolfed it down, along with the wedge french fries served with the burger. I think my one complaint was that the service seemed to come to an abrupt halt after we got our food. I decided I wanted some soda during my meal and it took probably 30 minutes to flag down our server to get what amounted to a tub of diet coke. This place isn't at the top of my list for hangover cures and breakfast foods, but I will probably end up back here at some point, given that it is fairly close to my place. read more

Unfortunately yelpers let me down this time with high reviews of this place. They were friendly enough, but there is clearly no regard for the quality of the food here. All their ingredients looked, felt, and tasted cheap. I had a "carne asada" breakfast burrito that was stuffed with ground beef. Ground beef is NOT carne asada gringos!! Beyond that, the waffle my grandma ordered was slightly undercooked and was clearly just cheap mix, as it tasted like dough more than anything. And to top it all off, even the Cholula I asked for to try to salvage my burrito tasted like they refilled it partially with Tapatio! Blasphemy! There are way too many good places here in Denver to waste time/money at this establishment. read more

Stopped here for a late breakfast (OK it was practically lunch). They serve breakfast until 3, so since I was on the hunt for a breakfast burrito, it was perfect. I ordered the carne adovada breakfast burrito, with Christmas chili. I usually like to have a little of both, and this way I get to taste both chilis in one sitting! The green is a little bit spicier than the red, but if it helps any, neither are extremely spicy at all for those spice-intolerant folks. I liked the red better than the green, though I typically would choose green over red if that makes any sense. I don't remember the green having a whole lot of flavor. The memorable part of my meal was the potatoes that came alongside my burrito. They were more on the soft side, served shredded with cheddar cheese on top. And they were heavenly and creamy. Oh and when the red chili was spilled over onto them? YES. Top this off with friendly and quick service, and you've got a winner. Delightful. read more

Great breakfast spot. Used to live in the neighborhood and would stop in regularly. I've since moved away, but still occasionally make the trip back even though there are a lot a great places near by me. They have a nice patio out back which is dog friendly, BUT be sure to enter through the front and ask to sit in the patio... not the other way around. Did that once and they were not pleased... I guess they like to seat you. They always bring water and bacon for dogs, which is awesome! On to the food - the cinnamon roll is a must for a starter. Good sized so great to share with someone or a small group. Ask for them to grill it... the char is the best part. I've tried a few things on the menu, but keep coming back to the Mile High Bowl. It's my favorite - lots of meat and eggs options depending on what you are looking for, but does not disappoint. read more

Liked this place till today, received awful service. After waiting a long time to place our order, the server waited on a newly seated couple just behind us. Their order w complicated, they asked lots of menu questions, so this took even longer before he finally asked what we wanted, when he should have took our order first, as we were seated long before them! Didn't refill our beverages once, I even had to get myself the refill water pitcher. After food was served, he never checked on us. Will not go back. read more

Mmm Caitlins! Thank you for serving a bunch of rugby girls on Easter Sunday with such a great attitude and delivering great food. I feel like the best bet is eggs anything. There is a little flare of Hispanic cooking with green and red salsas and lots of spice added to the skillets. I just got overmedium eggs, whole wheat Texas toast and hashbrowns due to my massive hangover. I think the butter they used for the toast had something addictive in it. This may sound weird but it was the best toast I've ever had. The prices are killer. My friend paid for mine and her oatmeal and it was around $11. The hot chocolate looks delicious with tons of whipped cream. Check it out sometime. It's totally cute and for such a small place, there is lots of seating! read more

So, I used to love this place. Good food, easy to get seating, reasonable prices. Those are still true, BUT only if you're on a typical diet. I recently had to go gluten free after finding out I have Celiac (amounts to a severe wheat allergy). I asked if there were wheat products like pancake batter in the eggs, and indicated to wait staff I can't have wheat. Guess who got "glutened" and has now been sick all day?? This gal. Ordered the mile high-- veganized. Thought for the most part, wish it was hotter but the green chile was phenomenal! Waiter was so nice and thoughtful. Bloody Mary had spot on spice level. The service was excellent! Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and made sure our experience was perfect. I secretly wished we were friends in real life. The food, however, didn't quite meet my expectations. I had the carnitas mile high, and my partner had a chicken sandwich. They were both good, but not great. The atmosphere is pretty normal as well, with booths and tables filling an ordinary room. There are a few TVs mounted on the walls. The prices were decent, and the portions were large. The green chili is way spicy, and I normally like spicy. It made my head sweat. Bacon breakfast burrito wasn't ruined with potatoes and had a lot of bacon, maybe more egg would prove the overall appeal. Prices reasonable and service five star. I'd come back to try the omelets. read more

I've been to Caitlin's 4 or 5 times. The wait staff is great. The location gets a 5. The food is very good and the service is as well. I have taken friends, children, and elderly persons here and they have all enjoyed it. it's not overpriced but fairly priced and the quality of the food is comparable or better than most breakfast places. In short, it's a staple on the list for breakfast. It won't impress excessively but it won't disappoint. read more

My son and I found this place through yelp 3 weeks ago and have been here every Saturday morning since. The staff here are very nice, and welcoming. They really seem to enjoy there jobs, which says a lot about management. The food here is awesome. My son loves the pancakes and biscuits and gravy. Decided to give this local joint a try but was totally disappointed. Bacon looked like it was reheated three days in a row. Was not just extremely overcooked but was so dry and unappealing. Eggs were nuclear yellow and there was a hair in my boyfriends eggs. The waitress was nice and did remove the egg plate from our bill due to the hair. Coffee was bland. I eat at Caitlin's or order it to go at least once a week! I have only tried the green chili mile high bowl with bacon and scrambled eggs, and the biscuits and gravy, and I can't get myself to try anything else because I like those two meals so much. The bacon is great - thick and well done. Hopefully I will try the lunch portion of the menu someday, the specials are always enticing. The service is so fast, if I order it for pickup it is always ready before i get there and I only live a few blocks away. Never an annoying/stupid hour long line like at Snooze. Perfect for a hangover with the giant drinks they serve, and they even serve bloody mary's. read more

I love this place...and so does my dog! The servers here are incredibly considerate and personable. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. They have a great patio where you can bring your dog. Not only are you allowed to have your pet by your side, but they bring them bacon and a huge bucket of water. The food here is really good. Went for brunch today service was horrendous food was cold. Eggs scrambled not good cold. Bacon was extremely greasy and the pancakes were cold ( used to get three now it's two). I had breakfast here recently. It was good - not life-changing, but good. I had the Original Mile High with bacon, eggs over easy, and tortillas. The Mile High is 'hash browns smothered with red or green chili, cheddar and jack cheeses, two eggs any style, served with toast, mini cakes, or flour tortillas'. The portion size was adequate, but not as much as I was expecting considering the name of the dish and the portion sizes some other restaurants offer. I would have preferred corn tortillas, but the menu doesn't list them as an option (next time I'll ask if they have any). I also had this dish 'Christmas style' with half and half red and green chili. It's hard to tell with all the cheese and the runny yolk, but I think the red chili had more flavor than the green. Service was good. My server was pleasant and efficient and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal (and she was busting buns in there taking care of diners and bussing tables). This restaurant is in an older, very non-descript strip mall next to a coin laundry. The outside of the restaurant is very non-descript as well. You really have to be looking for this place to find it. The interior of the restaurant was clean but without much in the way of décor. The heat was set at a nice temp and it felt very welcoming and cozy on a cold morning. At some point someone categorized this place as a Mexican restaurant. The do have some Mex and Tex-Mex (or New Mex) style dishes, but it's not a Mexican restaurant. read more

Customer service is everything and Caitlin's does not have it. In response to a complaint about poor service, one of the owners said: "...we are a small restaurant, not a chain. If you feel you receive better service elsewhere, we completely understand." I don't know about anyone else, but I expect great customer service when I dine out... anywhere! If you are in the industry of serving customers, hey, guess what, you better have some darn good customer service. So, from one of the owners, the message is basically to lower your expectations when you go to Caitlin's because they are a 'small restaurant'. Uh, what? I love this place! I had been looking for a place to go for breakfast for months, and every place we've gone has been terrible! Then one morning a friend brought up Caitlin's after I had mentioned seeing good things about it on yelp. I AM SO GLAD YELP EXISTS. Being heavily tattooed, I am used to getting stares and being treated differently, but Caitlin's is different. The hostess and servers were all super kind and welcoming and had us laughing before we even sat down. I got biscuits and gravy and it was the FIRST TIME I've eaten breakfast anywhere in Denver that they WEREN'T cold. The food was hot and fresh and it was pretty much the best bacon I've had (that I didn't cook myself.) Lovely food, lovely people! We will definitely be back to check out their lunch and Mexican food. :) read more

This was a great little find. We had the massive Mile High breakfast. I had pork and green chili. My wife had country fried steak and gravy. Both were excellent, but definitely get the green chili. Caitlin's is a solid diner. We stopped in for a mid morning breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. Good food, decent service, friendly atmosphere.
