The superior clean all-gender bathroom is entered with a 4-digit code--important access for my "aged out" body! My "ZOMBIES NEVER SLEEP" highly caffeinated coffee and brekkie burritos certainly recharged my body. And, true to the name, I didn't sleep for the next 18 hours! This fantastic cafe definitely has my coveted "iWheel of Approval!"

Tucked behind the bar, I only found out about Verve when I noticed the sign outside while waiting for the valet. Verve's menu features a variety of espresso and specialty drinks, and I was tempted to try the seasonal latte, a white chocolate matcha. The barista informed me there was no upcharge for alt milk (!), so I ordered my latte with oat milk. I was the only customer in line, so my drink was prepared in under two minutes. The latte was smooth and delicious, although the matcha flavor was very subtle (it tasted more like vanilla). I appreciated the convenience of being able to enjoy Verve coffee at the hotel and wish that it had been advertised more prominently.

I asked if the ube latte had coffee and the response I got was "if you get hot or iced", so then I asked if it had espresso and she said she can add espresso. The whole experience was pretty sketchy as I was asked to pay without seeing what the total amount was. After my card went through, I saw it was $12 for a latte- I asked for a receipt and she just gave me the receipt with total amount (no itemized). I then asked for an itemized receipt, and with hesitation, she printed it out and I saw that she charged me for a Latte at a price not on the menu, and also at a size large that I didn't ask for (I guess I didn't specify regular either). And then a shot of espresso was an additional $4. The latte tastes really bad and I have no idea how much espresso is in this, but considering this is supposed to be a nice Marriott hotel, I am THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED

They source their beans from roasters....and the gal who helped me in the front I asked for a couple of recommendations for pour over drip....and the one she chose was way better than I expected! There is some seating in there and enough space outside as well to just relax and chill...I sat at the community table and enjoyed the coffee....I even had to go back the next day but I got a latte the next day.... I would definitely come back here if passing by or staying in Mountain View again...they do close quite early (5PM)....so I had to get a cup from Peets nearby and I told the guy I've been going there...and he even said Oh Yeah there coffee is good!
