DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. The manager chose to pester my girlfriend, the only Asian in the establishment. He vehemently refused to let her sit until she ordered something off the menu (He specifically refused to let her contemplate what she wanted to order, from her seat, she needed to physically stand in line at that moment or get out of the coffee shop... WHAT?). He proceeded by quietly throwing away her unfinished coffee from a different coffee shop (she would have gladly complied with throwing her coffee out if she had been asked to, was it really necessary to throw out her drink, without giving her a single notification?), without a word or without any consent while she was standing in line. Upon realizing her drink had been thrown away, she confronted the manager (NICK) and asked why he had thrown the coffee away, to which he replied, "I thought you know our cafe policy of no outside drinks." Followed by, "I thought you were finished with the drink." Hilariously however you could immediately see other customers with outside food and drinks if you literally just turned around. When I arrived to confront him about the situation he began shaking and refusing to give me his name or store code, going from excuse to different excuse as to why he chose to target my girlfriend. His excuses ranged from, "I thought you knew the store policy." to "I thought you were done with the drink." to "I don't want to respond, get out." If you can't give a thorough explanation as to why you did not respect my girlfriend's rights as a customer, as a human who deserves to at least have things SPOKEN TO HER (I get that's hard to ask Nick), then I'm going to have to assume the worst. That you targeted her because of how she looks. Regardless of if this manager is racist or not, this Caffe Nero is poorly managed by this pompous guy. The younger baristas are extremely friendly and I have not had a single issue at this location until I encountered this "manager", who does not seem to do ANYTHING, except stand behind the counter giving people ridiculous looks. He is a blemish on what I consider a good location. Why did he choose to target my girlfriend? Is it a coincidence that everyone else in the cafe was caucasian while my girlfriend is Asian? No idea. I stopped in for a quick healthy snack on my way to the gym. I bought a small cappuccino and 2 hard boiled eggs. I was taking out, but noticed both the indoor and outdoor seating looked dirty. Then I sinned for asking for salt and pepper for my eggs!! They told me they had none and were impolite about it. I find it hard to believe that with 6-8 different sweeteners for coffee, they have no s&p for their food!!! Worst of all was the mediocre service and lack of cleanliness! read more

I'm a first timer!! I went to the Cafe inside Burlington Mall. Next time I am going to go to the one located outside the mall property. I had a hot vanilla latte and it was delicious! The presentation of the foam and the real coffee cup made me feel like I was back in Europe. The lunch and pastry options looked wonderful so I will be back to sample. Hours online aren't updated to actual store hours. This is the only coffee store I've seen a mouse inside sadly. Utterly horrified me. The barista also didn't seem to care about the issue. Where do I start!? The staff here is exceptional! They are very polite and attentive, providing outstanding customer service. I always get the prosciutto, fig, and brie flatbread sandwich. The whole combination of flavors added with the honey and balsamic dressing is just a WOW factor with the first bite. They cut the speeds down on the Wi-Fi and they ban/restrict normal sites like YouTube, YouTube Music and other media sites. Ya, they don't won't you to stay here all day, I get it. But your Watered down restricted Wi-Fi is pointless. Go somewhere else for your internet needs. read more

The decor and seating area inside Caffe Nero is truly inviting, so much so the place was packed at 11 am. It seems everyone had their laptop out and was using this coffee shop as their office. While I can't work with music playing, it was very soft jazz and not at all intrusive. I will say Caffe Nero's prices seemed pretty reasonable. I paid $3.50 for medium-hot chocolate with whipped cream and it tasted great. Since I could not grab a seat, I took it to go but I definitely will go back again. read more

This shop has a pleasant atmosphere. It's like an earthy old world book shop theme, with weathered wood and industrial accents. There is a wide selection of snacks and prepared beverages which seem right for a casual coffee shop. (But as is the norm, there is next to nothing in the way of carb/sugar free options for anyone who's watching their glucose levels.) The staff are efficient and pleasant. Cute trendy café Café Nuro is that coffee shop that would remind you of your European vacation. The atmosphere is cute and trendy using books as Decour and other odds and ends that you would find in your own living room or den. It's a very relaxed casual atmosphere where maybe you might have a cup of coffee and relax or pull out your laptop and get some work done. The staff are all very nice and the line goes by quick. No complaints. For the food there is an assortment of breakfast and lunch foods. I have been here a couple of times and have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. Somethings I have tried so far other than coffee would be their sandwiches and baked goods such as croissants. The only item that I have you in there so far that was odd to me was their maple walnut oats. The only reason why I feel kind of weird about it is because the container it is sold and has no nutritional facts on it. No ingredients no calories no nothing other than the name of what it is. So being a millennial I go to Google and try to find this item on their websites menus. To my surprise there was no trace of this particular item anywhere. This sort of worries me because I would like to know what's in the food I just ate. I suppose I could go ask one of the staff members but the day I picked that particular food item up I was on the run to work. The maple walnut oats were very good but I would still really like to know what is in it. For all the people with food allergies be careful when you pick up The to go items at Caffè Nero. Overall I do like Caffè Nero. And will most likely be back and when I do I'm gonna ask what was in my oats. What did I just pay for? First and last time. Terrible drinks and food at a jacked up price. I wanted to order a small chai latte, the girl said no, we only do a large. Okay fine, I'll try it. It came out as thick as a milkshake and tasted like milk. We then ordered 2 caprese sandwiches, 8 bucks each for the tiniest sandwich. This was by far the best Nero I've been to and the best coffee out of the bunch. Maybe because I went at a fairly quiet time it had a better vibe but it was so lovely. Lots of books and seating and no line which always makes it a better experience. I went with the iced mocha latte. I was afraid it might be too sweet but it was excellent. Not overpowering and a very smooth taste. Also, very strong as usually I start nodding off around 10 and I was wide awake. I'd definitely go there again to get a coffee if I needed to stay up! read more

Great coffee- huge menu - but you cannot get what's on the menu ! You can only get what's already prepared 8 hours ago from the menu sitting in the case . No joke !!!! When I asked why have a menu if I cannot get over half the items posted - the young man said that the European way !!!!! I said in case you haven't noticed this is not Europe ! I'm a mall employee who just started frequenting Caffe Nero. Generally the staff are friendly enough and the Coffee is fine. I personally prefer other brands but I do like to sit and eat there on occasion. Today I came in with a Nordstrom Cafe coffee and ordered one of their mediocre, overpriced sandwiches (3x the price of the coffee in my hand). I grabbed a seat with my drink & when my food was ready I was rudely beckoned to the counter and handed a to-go bag. The man told me I wasn't allowed to sit with other brands of coffee in Caffe Nero and I was instructed to leave. The place was practically empty and I'd just spent $13.50. I can't recall I time I've had such a pitiful customer experience somewhere. Even if that is their policy the way I was addressed is completely unacceptable. I would love to give a good review because they do have good coffee and food but I was there with some coworkers having a meeting, I had gotten a drink elsewhere but we went there because they wanted coffee. After about 15 minutes I was told I needed to leave because they don't allow outside food and drink. Well sorry but it's a mall, what do you expect? Prices are moderate, portions are small and service can be agonizingly slow maybe due to being understaffed and slightly disorganized since it's fairly new. Was meeting nephew for a bite. First coffee was not good. Some call it over roasted. I like strong coffee but this was not good. Sandwiches. Hmmm. Not made to order. While they have an interesting collection of cafe foods to go their coffee and teas, they're invariably out of half of it. They have a large sandwich board outside for their four cheese sandwich, but do they have it? No. Vegetarian frittata? No. Smoked salmon salad box? No. But the worst part is that you can't find out for much of these until after standing on line for five minutes. read more

The food, environment and coffee here is ok and a great break to step away from the mall for a while.. but the weekend management needs to go. They are constantly arguing with customers. They are too busy crying about everything to listen to what it ordered. One time they were too busy talking to process payment.
