We came here on a snowy Saturday morning to get our caffeine fix. We wanted a local caffè instead of a Dunkin or Starbucks. This caffè was very cute and the lattes were great! We also got some of their pastries which were tasty as well.

$8.83 for a small coffee and a stale bagel? Am I stupid? Won't be coming back especially when Brugers is around the corner.

The hot chocolate was terrible! Luke warm milk basically that was almost 5 dollars. Very disappointed.

Got the blueberry hibiscus, I thought it would have fruit muddled, but it's just flavor syrup, so could be better.

The corned beef is large chunks, not small diced pieces found in most commercial and canned hash. The potatoes, peppers, and onions gave a nice texture and flavor. I had it topped with two over medium eggs which were perfectly cooked. As I was eyeing the French toast, he gave me a single piece which included their fruit infused whipped cream and was really, really good! That might be my entree next time. My friend got the crepes and her face was doing happy expressions while she was eating. My new best friend Maria kept my coffee mug full-she visited the table frequently to make sure my mug never got low nor cold. She also took care to clean the table promptly as plates were finished. Now if my kids could learn that... oh wait, this is a diner review. The ambiance is cute and chic. There was easy access to accommodate wheel chairs and they have their menu clearly marked for gluten free available and vegan options (most of the menu). The menu is on the fancier side; they will prepare whatever someone wants (e.g. if someone just wants 2 eggs and bacon, they can easily do that). The location is on Main St. so parking is hit or miss. If you are nearby and want something good, this is a good option!

The quality of service, food, drinks, atmosphere were all very good. Turnover here is also very good, as there was no wait for an almost-full restaurant at 7pm on a Friday evening. Drinks were flavorful, but strength seemed a bit inconsistent. My Patriot's Pour, a bourbon drink, seemed a wee bit stronger both in flavor and perceived alcohol than the martinis we were served. The ice cube with the restaurant's name in it was a nice touch. Our dinners all came out at the same time and were, as mentioned, enjoyable. I did notice that the counter in front of the kitchen, where dishes are placed waiting for pickup, seemed to have more plates on it than the could be under the heat lamps. Hopefully folks' dinners weren't inconsistent in temperature. My Thai salmon was done the way I like it, firm and crispy. Parking outside is ample as well, there were several spaces free near the entrance at any time. They do a good job all-around here.

The salad arrived split on two separate plates which was a nice touch, and the sweet mustardy dressing balanced the bitterness of the kale and brussels - only comment is it was bit overdressed. The mushroom ravioli was tasty and had a good filling to wrapper ratio with a solid amount of cream sauce. The pulled pork mac was on the sweeter side and also had a lot of sauces - the bechamel, sweet bbq sauce and ranch. It was a touch too many sauces for us. Portions were a good size, a bit larger than expected. Service was attentive and fast, and the space is clean and comfortable, but could use a bit of an update, the upholstery on our booth was noticeably worn down. Overall a good meal, just note dishes tend to be heavier on sauces / dressings - we'll request to go lite on sauces next time.

Early Harvest Diner in Wakefield, MA is a solid neighborhood breakfast spot with a…read moresmall-to-medium-sized dining room and a good amount of seating. They offer regular table seating, counter seats, and booths. The booths, however, are pretty uncomfortable--despite having a cushion, you immediately feel the wooden board underneath when you sit down, which takes away from the experience a bit. We went around 11:00 AM on a Saturday and were seated quickly with no wait, though I can imagine on a busier morning there could be a decent wait time given the diner's size. The menu has a good variety, but pricing can be a little confusing. Some menu prices don't always reflect the final cost due to fluctuating egg prices. There is a sticker noting this, but it's easy to miss and may not be obvious to customers. We ordered the steak and eggs, which came out to $20 and was cooked nicely to a true medium rare. The hash browns weren't overdone and had a great crunch on the outside. The pancake we tried was very fluffy, and their iced coffee was genuinely delicious. We also ordered the Double Double, which also cost $20 and offered a decent portion of food for the price, along with sausage links as a side. They do offer real maple syrup for waffles or pancakes, though it costs extra. One thing I found to be a flaw is that the maple syrup and ketchup on the table had no labels--personally, I like knowing the brand or ingredients of what I'm eating. The same went for the hot sauce they offered; it was served in an unlabeled glass bottle. It tasted very similar to Frank's RedHot and had the same consistency, but it would be nice to know for sure. The staff is kind and attentive when it comes to taking your order and delivering food, but once the plates hit the table, check-ins are minimal. If you need something, you may have to flag someone down. Parking isn't bad since it's located in a plaza, and there's additional parking in the back if the main lot fills up. Overall, Early Harvest Diner is a nice place to grab breakfast with your family or significant other without breaking the bank. The food quality is solid, but the vibe could benefit from a refresh to feel a bit more cozy and modern.

Our server was great, bringing my daughter toys to keep her busy while the food comes out. Now let's get down to the food.. El Franco: this burger was super good and the chicken was juicy. It consists of chicken parm, and mozzarella cheese. It was a great burger and I highly suggest this burger. Smoked Chicken Wings: these wings are some of the best I've had! My whole family loved them which is super rare, so I know it's legit lol. Be sure to get these as an appetizer before your main dish, you won't be disappointed. Chourico Cubano: I really enjoy their take on a Cubano sandwich. It had pulled pork, ham, pickles, mustard of course and some cheese. It was very light and good. The flavors went well together and it was a great sandwich. Malasadas: we can hear specifically for these as I'm from Hawaii and wanted to try their take on this fried donuts. They didn't disappoint and my daughter love it. The bourbon caramel house was outta this world. I could have ate 3 more sides of that sauce lol. Highly recommend this as a dessert. We will definitely be back again!! Be sure to give this restaurant a try if you're in the area.
