While on our way to Salem we decided to take a Java Chip Frappuccino. This is our favorite drink and we have tried this at several locations and were never disappointed. There is always one time and probably this was at this store. For the first time I hated it to a point that we decided to throw it since it was way too bitter for us to drink. I am sure there is a standardized way to make these drinks at all the Starbuck locations but somehow these folks decided to diverge from the recipe to deliver a disaster. Hope they take it seriously and try to improve. There are other Starbucks around so I am surely not going back to this one. read more

I ordered a hot matcha latte and a caramel brûlée latte both with oat milk. The latte came out tasting like straight oat milk, nothing like matcha. And it took a while for the caramel brûlée latte to come out when it wasn't that busy. There were 3 employees, one was restocking stuff one of them were making the drinks and the third was just standing at the counter watching the second one make the second drink. And there were other people who ordered after me eating in for their drink. As for the recent renovations, they somehow made the location feel smaller than it did before. So if you order from this Starbucks, your drink might end up tasting like straight milk or it might not due to the staff not being trained properly on how to make the drinks, it also might take a bit for your drink to actually come out cause some of the staff is just standing there staring at the others making drinks instead of helping, and don't plan on actually staying and enjoying your coffee unless you like feeling cramped. read more

I actually find this to be one of the better Starbucks in the area and I am surprised with the overall rating for the location. Maybe it is the time of the day that I am going vs. other people but I feel they produce a consistent drink from visit to visit and the work station (coffee making area) is always clean which is more than I can say for many Starbucks. read more

If I could give this starbucks zero stars I would. It's the only location where I literally have never gotten my drink made correctly. I had my drink re-made FOUR times, and every single time it was made worse. I literally couldnt believe it at all. I'm never going there, i'll only go for water or a sandwich. Get better trainers. One of the best locations and very convenient I never had problems here at all ! I love Starbucks. But the service here was not that great. They never asked us what size we wanted or if we wanted whipped cream or not. They also screwed up the names. They forgot one of our drinks so they had to make it again. The only reason i am not giving it a one star is because I love the drinks. Plus they don't have seating for party's over four. read more

Since it opened, every single time I've gone for myself or coworkers the drinks have been just blatantly wrong, or possibly even stranger just...OFF in some way. Earlier in the week two of my colleagues ordered identical drinks and they somehow made two completely different ones?? They weren't even the same color. They've even managed to mess up the simplest iced tea order. It's truly baffling. read more

Poor service. Employees who were not working were in the store and were brought to the front of the line and helped before customers. Then one of the baristas chatted with them while the other one struggled to keep orders coming out. Cappuccino portions were way off -- tasted like it was practically just warm milk. read more

Terrible service, super slow, understaffed.. I love Starbucks but I'm going to have to start going to another location because this one makes me super angry. The floor of this coffee shop is dirty. What made me mad was that they actually told me that they ran out of regular ice coffee last time I went there. Then they brought me a cold brew coffee and charged me over $4, and it tasted just like regular ice coffee. I mean, what type of Starbucks runs out ice coffee. Not happy. read more

Seriously they need to train the new workers better. The other day I ordered a flat white extra shot and my drink had waaaaay too much milk in it. Basically warm milk! Then on another occasion I asked for 1 shot of syrup in my coffee because I hate my drinks sweet and they completely do what they feel like doing and added extra shot of syrup to my drink. Couldn't even drink that one too so another drink wasted. They NEED TO PAY ATTENTION to what the customer is ordering. It pisses me off because I'm paying so much for a good cup of coffee and they are always screwing it up. Was highly upset! read more

We all like a good Machiatto but we expect great service as well. Went in on Sunday to grab a macchiato as i was shopping at Wayside. Also grabbed a mug with coffee a coffee press and 2 $20 gift cards. The gentoeman serving me was not friendly at all and his service was terrible. He rings me up and gives me a bag to put ny purchases in. Needless ri say i put the gift cards down to put the items in the bag and left without them. Not only that. The woman making my macchiatto takes off her apron after she starts and a gentleman takes over. He proceeds to make other drinks and nine waits til she comes back. Always, mess up on orders, always have to make mines/my friends' drink twice, dont understand why they dont get it right. They ask the questions and puts it in, but still get it wrong. No ice but still get ice, no whipped cream, but end up with it. Are they only train one way or something? Are they only train to ask and smile but dont follow through? Why give us options but only do it their way. I guess it only some locations that are this way and so consistent in making wrong drinks and other locations, I never had a problem, so definitely a thumbs down for the location at Wayside Commons. And never get an apology for when they wrong, they would just take the wrong drink back and make another one and give it to us with a straight face. So much for customer service. read more

I love Starbucks, just not this location. Almost every time I go they are out of something because "they have not received an order" or some other excuse. That has been my experience many times in the past 5 years, I'm not sure why this location has this issue, I have not had that happen at any other store in the area. My biggest complaint is the staff. I was in on a day that was not busy, ordered sugar free and was given a regular latte with the regular syrup. I let them know it was wrong and the young woman who took my order told me I didn't order sugar free so... I told her I did order sugar free and could not drink what she had made and she just turned her back to me and said "well sorry". I was appalled. I asked if she could make me another and was ignored. I left the coffee there and went to another location. I contacted Starbucks over the app and was gifted a free coffee. Starbucks is a great company, this store is a terrible representation of that. read more

Badly thought out location for the condiments bar. Thermoses sit in the blazing sun and the milk spoils. Added a good amount of half and half to my coffee, and the coffee ended up having a slightly spoiled taste. Also, though the counter help is friendly, anyone that serves food should have an appearance that indicates good hygiene. Seems very basic. Sorry. Wish I could be more complimentary. read more

I love Starbucks, but this location needs some work. I go quite often because it is so close to both of my employers. The staff are pretty friendly (unless you catch them on a bad day) but they often screw up my drink order. They are good about remaking it, but now I have to sip it before I leave to make sure it tastes right. read more
