Worst Caffe Nero I've been to, and I've been to many. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is not clean. The pastry variety is severely lacking compared to other locations. With the ones they do have, flies are on them. Gross. During my most recent visit, I was charged a 30 cent "eat in" fee (which I have never seen at any Caffe Nero ever) for an order that was presented in a to-go cup. Make it make sense. The cherry on top was the rude barista who got my order wrong. I have no intentions of returning to this location. Go to the one in the Burlington Mall instead. read more

It's a great spot, plenty of parking, large inviting space with a great bathroom and a fireplace. The staffing is very uneven, people tend to be very friendly, but they are so young and stupid. My server today had 9 inches of cleavage, no joke, but just as she was hearing my order, apparently she got a text message on her phone that a coworker was calling in today. She did not tell me what it was, she just froze for a full 30 seconds and started remarking some emotional trauma, I thought I was ordering incorrectly, or they were out of something I had ordered. Just stood there with her for about a minute before we finally proceeded to finish my ordering. She left the spill down the coffee, she put my order in a bag despite it being for here, she left the spoon in the coffee, she began a credit card purchase, although I was paying cash. None of that matters, but it just shows that she was out of her element. I told her it's all good when the customer gets a free chocolate as I reached my hand into the jar. Disappointed and disgusted. Stopped here for a quick bite and upon ordering noticed multiple flies on each of the waffles in their pastry case. When I asked the lady if they had anymore pastries elsewhere as flies were on top of them, she just swatted her hand at them, said "no" and walked away. She seemed very unbothered by this which was insane. No apology & and she didn't even dispose of the fly covered waffles. She left them in the case for someone to buy!!!!!!!!!!! Service (4/5): Decent service where the person was helpful and got our order out quickly. The server seemed to zone out for a bit while we ordered but the server quickly snapped back into it and we had no issues. Ambiance (4/5): Looks fancy on the outside and looks like a cool cabin interior but there is a lot of messiness inside. For example, seats aren't aligned, the furniture don't match, lightning is inconsistent, and some of the seats look worn out. I love this cute cafe at the Burlington Mall, MA. I love going there for coffee and a bite. The inside is very comfy and spacious. I always find a spot to enjoy my coffee without too much of a wait. Few weeks back, I was there with a friend. We ordered the chocolate fudge cake, cappuccino and raspberry vegan tart! Everything was delicious and fresh. Service is prompt. I like that. I got a latte. It was about 1030 11 o'clock in the morning so it was appropriate. I also got a really good present that had bacon and cheese in it. It probably would've been much better had it hadn't been a little bit burned. It was quite flavorful. And good amount of bacon. My friend got an iced coffee, and a sandwich. Can't say I'm partial to this Caffe Nero location since it's inside a mall but it's the first one I've seen inside one. If you're coming in thinking it's going to be the same zen coffee shop vibe as any of the other locations, unfortunately, it's just a resting spot for shoppers. It's not the most ideal location to set up your workstation but I guess if you happened to be at Burlington Mall shopping, then it's convenient because parking can be taxing if you're only coming here to get a cup of coffee. Italian Focaccia- This is one of the more easier sandwich for a quick bite without having to heat up. It contains ham, salami, mortadella, and provolone inside a thick pizza dough like bread. Pretty good and my nephew likes it. Spinach and Cheese Quiche- For this, we did heat up, it was actually more eggy with spinach but couldn't make out if there was cheese in it. Iced Chamomile Tea- Slightly earthy with some floral notes and it's right in line with my taste. The type of tea is commonly used as a relaxant and is caffeine-free. Iced Summer Fruit Tea- My sister loves sugar and she said this was only okay to her since it's not overly sweet with a bit of tartness (she usually has 12 flavor shots in her Starbucks drinks, yuck). Overall Service: They were wonderful, and had one designated person behind the counter to start us with drinks, food and finishing up the transaction at the register. read more

My favorite thing to eat there are the chocolate eclairs, and I love how rich and tasty the chocolate is. The Caffè itself is beautiful. It makes me forget I'm in a shopping mall. The music, and decor is lovely. I ordered a strawberry-banana smoothie, which is not fresh. They use juices from a box which is disappointing because of how expensive and small it is. I loved the margherita flatbread because it had the crunch I was looking for, and they drizzled pesto on top! The downside is the wait is usually incredibly long, sometimes going out into the mall. There's no specific person to solely take orders, but the baristas that wait on you make your food AND coffee which causes a long wait. All the tables were dirty -- like not cleaned all weekend long. All surfaces were disgusting. Finally using the restroom on our way out, we find four empty toilet paper rolls on top of the toilet and about 10 squares left on the one roll that's left and no soap in the dispenser. With a variety of typical drinks and delightful foods to snack on this is a place where you can retreat to for a nice break. The seating is comfortable and varied letting you find what suits you best. I noticed a few patrons taking in and using the many books that line the shelves. A great place to stop and socialize or just hang and relax. During COVID the seating capacity has been reduced so at busier times it can make it harder to get a seat. The staff are relatively pleasant but focused on the task at hand. The line at times moves slow and is a function of a small number of staff taking care of all the customized options that one can request when order your favorite beverage. The coffee however was not very good. They have a limited flavor selection, and the flavors were not as advertised. My flavored drink tasted like plain coffee with almond milk. They designed the place to look rustic with bookshelves and antiquated furniture. However it looks like they obtained the furniture from flea markets and backyard sales. Sofas, tables and fireplaces look dirty and never cleaned. I felt icky sitting on furniture that was probably owned by someone for decades and had years of sweat and stain buildup. Customers were also pretty selfish, making sure to leave purses and a laptop cases on empty seats so nobody would sit next to them. read more

Just about everything about this place is great. The location is right off the highway behind the Burlington Mall. Plenty of parking. The service is excellent. The only downfall I saw was the seating. There isn't a whole lot to be had, which resulted in people awkwardly walking around looking at you wondering if you way get up soon or not. The food and coffee is great. My boyfriend and I came in on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. We split the Holiday Turkey sandwich.. omg it was so good.
