I ordered lunch from here via a catering service, which offered us a limited menu. There were still decent option on the menu and plenty to choose from. Since I didn't walk into the restaurant myself, I can't speak on the ambiance. I can speak on the food though. I ordered a Greek chicken wrap. While the ingredients were tasty, the wrap was incredibly messy and really difficult to eat. This tainted the experience a bit, but at least it was tasty. read more

I was one sandwich short in my order and instead of arguing with her. I let it go. $46 for 2 mediocre breakfast sandwiches and 2 coffees doesn't fall under the present of $46. I never received my third sandwich and from my understanding this location is closing. Good riddance read more

Items ordered: Breakfast sandwich with gluten free bread, cappuccino Value: Standard pricing, slightly overpriced considering $2 up-charge on GF bread Service: Staff were very kind The Review: I must preface this by saying that Blackbird is perhaps the only independent café in the area. I like that they roast their own coffee, however it is incredibly expensive at over $16 per bag. I appreciate that they have extensive gluten free options, the up-charge is significant. The breakfast sandwich was very basic, just cheese and egg on bread...and it cost $9.50. The food and coffee prices here are far too high for the ambiance. The place is super old and not in a vintage way, but in a way that made me feel a bit concerned for food safety. There is not a barista, but the prices are the same as a true coffee shop. That sort of thing. The staff were very nice and, with a little polishing, Blackbird could get my vote. For now, 3/5. read more

I can only speak about the matcha latte because that was all I ordered today but I was really pleasantly surprised. I am pretty picky about matcha and was unsure what to expect but I was excited when I saw the employees making it with a whisk and bowl- the matcha was not premade or pre sweetened (I think). It was also not overly milky. The employees were VERY nice while I was there and were working together to fill all the orders. I was surprised by the negative reviews and noticed a lot of them were about price. The prices were somewhat high but comparable to other cafes in the area. I would love to go back for another matcha and to try some of the breakfast options! read more

I was excited to try this place but after seeing it in the strip mall, I was a bit deflated. We still ordered food and drinks to dine in. I was a bit thrown off by the cashier who seemed to be in training. She didn't know how to make a London fog and definitely was not trained yet in customer service. There were some sanitary concerns for me and I honestly couldn't wait to get out of there. The food itself was very meh and the cold brew was no more than iced coffee. I'm sorry but needs to be better. read more

Nice staff, but weird vibes. Overpriced for mediocre quality. Got a bowl, which ended up being mostly spinach. Veggies were not fresh, but the two eggs on top were nicely done. Shredded cheese shoved in one small area of the bowl. Other things on the menu sounded good but I don't think I'd come back to try them. read more

Online ordering was super easy and convenient. My coffee turned out perfect with flavor but not too sweet with just oatmilk and the carmel macchiato syrup. The person at the counter was friendly and welcoming. Super cute little shop with a few tables inside and an outdoor space for warmer months. read more

Good breakfast spot. Ordered an egg and cheddar cheese--yum! Simple and tasty, just how I like it. Caramel macchiato was good too! Barista asked me if I wanted the "Starbucks" version which I did, and she made it great. Maybe next time I'll venture out and try a "real" caramel macchiato! They seem to do mostly takeout but there are a few tables inside and outside if you choose to dine in. Did notice a house fee of a few dollars on my receipt which was a little shady...that was on top of the tip I left too... Anyway...the food and drink were good and I got to sit outside and enjoy the weather. read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did. Why wouldn't you cheer for the success of a non-chain place? But Blackbird is a disappointment and we won't be back. My Belgian waffle was undercooked and lacked the promised whipped cream. Instead, it was served in a cardboard box leaking syrup. The omelet was just okay. For the prices charged, the food should be better. But I might overlook mediocre food except for how surly the service is. When the Tatte opens, go there instead for more consistent food and service. read more

This place is extremely overpriced. They up charge on every little thing and it's extremely disappointing because I used to enjoy their food. It's just not worth paying $20+ for a simple breakfast burrito. I eat here all the time because there's not a lot of options for my dietary needs but it ends up costing me $30 in the end for a burrito and hot chocolate. I get a classic cheese burrito but I add avocado +3, spinach +1, side of chipotle +.50¢, sub egg whites +50¢ Then the hot chocolate is $5.50 then up charge of a $1.00 for oat milk (This is all door dash prices because I usually get this while I'm at work, but the prices are still insane on their website) The other week I ordered online to pick up and I forgot to add the chipotle sauce onto my order. When I went in to pick up I asked for one, ready to pay for it and the cashier couldn't find the button for it and yelled at me for forgetting to add it to my order. I eat here all the time and 1 time I forget the .50¢ chipotle up charge and you yell at me because you can't find the button? Nice. read more

Ordered online on weekend. Went to pick up food, turned out there was a computer malfunction and the cafe was closing. Could not get ordered fulfilled, despite card having already been charged. Not great, but understandable. Promised refund within next few days once computer is running again. One week later, still no refund. Have contacted company and not gotten a response back. Save your money, don't spend it on a bunch of frauds. read more

Overpriced spinach bomb breakfast bowl. Came for a quick breakfast. Quiet and not a lot of customers inside, considering mid-morning timeframe on a weekend. This spot is inside a plaza with plenty of parking. Ordered a "Blackbird Bomb Breakfast Bowl", which is described as "Two eggs over easy, with sautéed red onion, green pepper, mushrooms, sausage & bacon, smothered with cheddar-jack cheese with smoky chipotle sauce on the side served in a bowl over baby spinach, home fried potatoes & quinoa." What I liked about the bowl is the over easy eggs and the chipotle sauce. I was disappointed that most of the bowl is spinach. When you look at the bowl from the top, it looks like everything is portioned very well. When you dig inside the bowl, you will find that what looks good on the top is actually a front for all the spinach underneath. There was not enough of everything else. There was NOT a lot of onion + pepper + mushroom + sausage + bacon + potatoes, which I was looking forward to. When I say not a lot, I mean probably few small bites worth. Plus, the description says smothered with cheese but apparently they don't know what smother means because there was not a lot of cheese. Overall, not a great impression. I spent almost $20, pretty much mainly on a bowl of spinach. It doesn't taste bad by any means but disappointed at the overpriced deception. read more

Bedford location is newly open. Menu has good variety. I liked my Johnny Cash salad with avocado and grains. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tables need more frequent wiping down since people bus their own discards. Was surprised to see compostable bowls but no trash separation of compostable items - plastic and compost all mixed together! Bedford is a composting community and we need our restaurants to be environmentally responsible as well. read more

Two stars , because I guess I didn't get food poisoning, and food showed up eventually ? ... and because I feel a little bad for the nice exhausted lady working there.. but this spot just is not worth it . Pressed or cafe Nero nearby can provide better food and not take 45 minutes to get it done. In fact , your local best western self serve waffle iron will produce a better experience than this sad wilted waffle and egg sandwhich we got after waiting far too long . For your money , you can find numerous better places. I would only come here if everywhere else in a 10 mile radius is closed , honestly.. it's that underwhelming . Look to your local pizza parlor for a better breakfast experience. My wife, who's not picky : "I'm sad we wasted calories there" I've had better waffles that are a day old after being frozen from the grocery store honestly .. no idea how they made it .. but it was all mushy and cold by the time it got to us... and we ate at the location , not takeout. The $13.50 avocado greens and provolone egg sandwhich lacked cheese it was supposed to come with and wasn't made with much care .. it felt like the product of an overworked line chef (who probably was) at the end of the shift . The best thing about this place ? The half finished can of Costco cold brew I brought with me to drink with my breakfast. read more

Came here for breakfast/lunch and it was the perfect place! I was craving breakfast and my boyfriend was craving lunch food lol. Packing was very convenient, there is plenty of parking in this little plaza. Going in, we chose a comfortable spot to sit and we ordered from the menu on our phones. I ordered a western chipotle burrito bowl with a tortilla on the side. This bowl was perfect and had everything I wanted which includes eggs, potatoes, quinoa, veggies, guacamole I added on, chipotle sauce, ketchup, sausage, and I'm probably missing a few more. It was very hearty and it went really well with my caramel frappe. My boyfriend ordered the chipotle grilled cheese with tomato, tomato soup, and a dirty chai latte. His combination was delicious and very homey. Everything went well together and everything was delicious! Only wish is if the price was a little lower. read more

Came across this little gem on a quick work trip. I was in desperate need for coffee and a quick bite and we came right in. All menu is take out only. Service is very fast and the staff is absolutely lovely. The owner is right there working in the kitchen and making sure everything is running smoothly. Ordered the pesto, tomato and mozzarella panino and it was just BOMBBBBBB. The bread and all the ingredients were so fresh and it was cooked to crispfection. Loved this so much we had to come back the next day before heading back out for a quick take out breakfast date in our car. THE CHOCOLATE CHIP WAFFLE was aaaaaabsolutely amazing. Truly enjoyed this experience and I wish there were more bomb spots like these around. Still dreaming with the Belgian waffle. Many options to choose from if you're craving regular food or breakfasty food. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. read more

I got the Johnny Cash wrap, ate in the store...the wrap was a mess, half of the wrap didn't have avocado and it was just messy. Not in a fun way, just a mushy mess. Tortilla wasn't even wrapped enough, chicken was ice cold and dry for 20 dollars you'd think it would be better. Burlington location, stick to the coffee get food anywhere else read more

First time here and ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches. One of the sandwiches came as ordered unfortunately the other was missing cheese, bacon and the side of chipotle as requested. Food is great. Very pricy but delicious. I love all the flavors of their food. It's always worth a stop if I'm in the area.

Don't believe Yelp when it's says there is a 60-70 min wait. It said the today and we walked in to there being 2 people inside. The food was fast and there is table service meaning they bring you what you ordered. Our drinks came out within minutes and the chai was so hot we had to wait 20 for it to cool enough to drink. It had a frothy head with a good amount of spices on top. Our food came in 10 min. I got the Strega Nona and my husband the Baconator bowl with no quinoa. We enjoyed our meals a lot. The omelette cake with a balsamic glaze across the top-just like Blaze Pizza. The pesto comes on the side. I was not so sure about the pesto with an omelette but it was quite good: the pesto was incredibly delicious. I used it for dipping my home fries into and spending on my omelette and used it all up. Highly recommend. The Rye toast was made perfectly for my liking -crunchy and the melted butter that comes on it had to be Kerrygold. It's so awesome. My husband loved his bowl despite there being fresh spinach he is not a veggie guy. His eggs were cooked perfectly as he ordered them. The mango fruit smoothie is very very very sweet. read more

I ordered the Johnny cash lunch bowl and although I was really looking forward to it since it was a very pretty looking dish, the flavors did not meet my expectations. I thought the chicken tasted a little funny, possibly old. I wasn't a fan of the red peppers, they were cold and I was expecting them to be freshly grilled and not soggy. I will say they do give a generous amount of avocado so I was happy about that. The corn was a good addition, I liked the sweet bursts throughout the meal. Underneath all the toppings are the quinoa and mixed greens (more quinoa please). I didn't think the chipotle sauce had too much flavor. I was expecting a little kick but it was almost like thousand island. Overall it was a very filling and healthy meal but I wouldn't exactly say I'd order it again. read more

I was completely ignored in an empty store for ten minutes and I walked out. Their food is good but their service is not.

I was charged a 12% kitchen fee on a already over priced breakfast sandwich, two sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant $25 and that's with out beverages. Hands down Burlington's most expensive basic breakfast sandwiches. What happened to the days when you tip when you sit down and eat. Now the customers pay for the under paid worker in the kitchen and credit card processing fees even when you are using a debit card. So apparently, this is a new thing, the kindness that the residence has extend to the restaurants during Covid to assist them in remaining open and not going out of business, now raised the bar to what kind of fees and hiking of prices they now are charging us. read more

Food: My table got the banana Nutella waffles and the lemon blueberry waffles. The Nutella waffle was a bit dry. The dish would be much improved if the Nutella was made into a sauce rather than piped on top in its current thick peanut butter like form. The lemon waffle was light and lovely. The coffee was a bit sweat especially since mine shouldn't have had sugar in it. Ambience: This place was fairly awkward. There is one small table up front and two or three small tables shoved into the back hallway that leads to the bathroom. While I might have wanted to comeback for the food I definitely wouldn't come here again due to the lack of comfortable seating. Staff: The staff were slightly off putting. The cashier and barista never said anything rude but their expression clearly stated that they did not want to be there and that they did not like you. read more
