[[HIGHLIGHT]]The town of Concord is so charming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Main Street cafe is too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We love this restaurant for a quick bite. The service is always warm and food is quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is cozy with lots of tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The caramel apple cider is one of my favorite drinks.

I'm a repeat customer to this cafe whenever I'm in Concord, MA. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small and cozy and has that New England countryside vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front is beautifully decorated with live plants and flowers with benches to watch people walk by.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are many quaint shops to browse in while waiting for our name to be called.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came here to eat after riding the bike trail with our bike rentals. I chose a bowl of New England clam and corn chowder which was fresh and delicious. My daughters had sandwiches each with chips and pickles. We ordered Lemonade to drink and it was too sweet that we didn't finish the drinks. They also have several flavors of ice cream. Staff were friendly, service was prompt, and prices affordable.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We had lunch here and were immediately seated in the lovely table at the window.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was around 2 and the lunch crowd was thinning out but we found the service to be really bad- we felt forgotten a few times - our meal took forever to come out and when it did, the fries were not hot and it seemed like maybe it sat waiting to be picked up. We waited way too long to pay our check. The bright side- My shrimp tacos were quite delicious and my side salad was such good quality lettuce - nice and fresh. I will come back- I think I saw that they are understaffed and asked for patience. Just wanted to say- it was not our best experience there.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful place to go for lunch after a Little Woman day!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wonderful late lunch- split the super green salad, the burger special with garlic parm tots (soooooo good) and cornbread (also great with a sugar crust). Got some iced teas and called it a day. Great place, quick service - I'd return! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Feels so New England[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Food wasn't bad ( had the cheeseburger...they charge me extra for Swiss ) but the service was s-low, s-low, s-l-oooo-w. We had somebody who took our order and never gave us water to begin with so we had to go to the bar to request some water and they finally brought us some. Very slow on the follow up and it seems like a relatively crowded restaurant. I just think that the service could be a little improved only because we are about to see a show down the street and the crowd was picking up. This is also a bakery, so there's a lot of visitors coming in to place orders.

Great local cafe! Stopped here for a late breakfast. Really nice place and the staff was excellent! The portion sizes were perfect too. I ordered the French toast and absolutely loved the syrup (so much so that I bought a bottle to take home).

Steak Tips

Stopped in here for a meal before going to a show. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place looked inviting and had that cafe vibe we were looking for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated in a timely manner even though the place was busy but not crazy. I ordered a Main Streets Mule, what great drink! My partner tried to order the Turkey Feta Burger, however was told they had run out of Feta. This should have been pointed out from the start, highly doubt it had just happened and indicates poor communication within the employees. Instead we both went for the Steak Tips. When the Meals came out, there was a heap of wild grain rice and broccoli as the side, not pearled couscous as indicated in the menu. The steak tips were small and unevenly sized, resulting in unevenly cooked meat. Some well done and others the required medium rare. Nice sauce and good flavor but the texture on the smaller was like rehydrated beef jerky. The rice was flavorless! Needed salt and pepper in a desperate way. Upon questioning the server about the change in side, she quickly asked if we wanted something else. We told her we just wanted to know why the change in side without notification. What I assume is the Manager, came over about 10 minutes later and explained that they were changing menus and they no longer were serving couscous or steak tips for that matter. They were going with steak and rice. This just confirmed the poor communication that exists, and for $75 I would have expected a much a better meal. We did decide to order dessert, strawberry shortcake. We were informed that it could potentially be with a scone and biscuit, server didn't know which one it would be. What we got was a large dried out mixed berry scone with a strawberry sauce made from strawberries which had clearly started to turn to mush. Not the taste or texture we were expecting and while it wasn't bad, it also wasn't great. TLDR: overpriced food with an inaccurate menu and poor communication that impacts the customer.

Stopped by on a rainy Saturday to meet a friend for coffee. It was pretty busy but there were still empty tables. Ambiance is nice - very charming and comfortable except for the fact that it does get very crowded and therefore pretty loud. I ordered a hot coffee and the miniature cheesecake. They give you a small pot of coffee that fills about three of the little mugs they use. Coffee was decent. The cheesecake was good but incredibly sweet. I like my cheesecakes a little more on the tart side. The cherries that were served on top helped cut through the richness a little but there were only three of them. Also worth noting that they do have a few gluten free bakery items in the display case. Service was friendly and prompt.

Overall the food tasted pretty healthy despite having pork belly and chorizo. The seasoning was definitely on the lighter side, where the french onion soup was tasting pretty close to an extremely light broth. Tried the cassoulet which I've heard of before but never seen on a menu. It was very hearty but also a but bland. Pulled pork and pork belly seemed to have zero salt. Duck leg confit also very bland. It was cooked well but just bland. The dishes with citrus were quite tasty. Beets and arugala salad very good, good quality goat cheese. Alligator chorizo grilled oysters surprisingly good. Never had alligator chorizo before but it was crispy and not fatty even though it resembled bacon visually. The oysters were small, even more small in comparison to the chorizo but it was a good bite. I would recommend skipping the clam chowder, french onion soup (not really caramelized onions to be honest), and the cassoulet unless you feel empowered to salt your own food. The clientele was definitely in the 60+ range. Nothing wrong with that obviously but tastes change with age and maybe thats why the seasoning was so light. Today there were just two wait staff for the whole place. Seemed understaffed and it took almost thirty minutes for food to come out. Waiting for the check took about fifteen minutes. Staff was nice but definitely overloaded. Today was a holiday though.

We had a reservation for a celebratory dinner, and I commented to ask if the special would still be on for that date. The chef/owner responded immediately that it would. Knowing specials often run out quickly, I called on the morning of the reservation, and a hostess said, yes, the special was still on. So we got there, we ordered, and we asked for the special -- the waitress said she'd confirm, and then came back and just said 'no, it was just for that day,' which was confusing. I explained that the chef and the hostess had confirmed that it was still on the menu and asked if it had run out -- again, understandable -- and she said it 'was just something we made for an influencer.' At that point, I didn't want to press the two 'no' answers, so we finished the dinner and moved on. I reached out privately after the fact as I wanted to see if there was a better way I could have communicated to the restaurant or asked for clarification, and asked if there was a better way to confirm information moving forward, and they never responded. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.

Solid pub food that sated our hunger after a swim at Walden. Service was attentive and pretty nice…read moreambiance for a tavern. Surprise hit was the fried pickles that were lightly battered and the buffalo chicken mac n' cheese special that had buffalo tenders on top of a cavatappi pasta that had a sort of a fancy take on a kraft mac n' cheese. Smashburger was quite tasty, thick bacon and decent special sauce -- fries were definitely frozen but okay. Only comment is the booth we were in had a really uncomfortable sunken in bench on one side that definitely needed some repair. Otherwise would return after another Walden visit.

The interior is still very similar as far as the layout, but obviously a whole new coat of paint and decor instead. It almost reminds me a bit of a seafaring restaurant, but still not that different from how the 99 was with the size, walls, booths, hallways, etc. But there are other 99s and this new restaurant is pretty great overall, especially for a wonderfully flavorful, hearty burger and fries. I also had some of a companion's order, this interesting sesame chicken dish with seaweed salad and a half avocado filled with sauce, which was different and I'm not really sure why it was there, much as I like avocado. The chicken tasted great and was the highlight of that dish. The menu is nice and varied, so I'd be curious to try some of their other dishes, like the pizza. The service is great even when it's busy, and it's a pretty comfortable atmosphere.
