A great find! We'll definitely be making this a go to weekend brunch spot. Inside was very clean and they also had a very nice outdoor patio. The service was prompt and friendly and portions the perfect size. Our party each got a different meal - BLT w/onion rings, spinach & feta omelette w/bacon, waffles w/everything and Denver omelette w/ Italian sausage - and everyone loved their meals. Only thing to keep in mind is it's cash only. Love the old school feel of this place and can't wait to go back.

Babico's is a cute diner in downtown Maynard. I think it is a fun spot, feels homey, and the staff are super friendly. The food is pretty generic and standard diner food. The prices are reasonable but just be aware it is cash only. The portions are good. I would say salt is low but pretty easy to adjust. The coffee was a tad colder than I like but otherwise alright. Overall, one of the few diners in the area and a nice spot but the food is not anything out of the ordinary.

Consistent breakfast/lunch place. Owner is very friendly. It's a fixture in Maynard. Love the turkey club sandwich. Western omelette is terrific. Seat yourself. Wait staff is good. CASH ONLY. They have an ATM.

I have always liked Babico's Cafe. It reliable. Unique (in this millennia) and very good service. Recently they've done done fix up. The lighting is updated and very comfortable. The menu id good and the new coffee cups are great. And the food? It's still great.

When I came in at 10:30 on a Saturday, and there was plenty of seating available, mostly inside but also a few tables outside. We ordered at the counter and I got a pastry and an Americano with hazelnut syrup. The pastry they served right there and the drinks were prepared at the other end of the counter. I waited about 5 minutes for my Americano and when it came it was with a different syrup than the one I had ordered. The barista said they were out of that syrup, but I was a little annoyed that they didn't just ask me what I wanted instead - I was standing right there after all. But that is my one small complaint. The barista was nice about remaking it with the replacement syrup of my choice so it wasn't a huge deal. To eat, I got the peach danish. It was very yummy! It didn't taste exactly freshly baked so I can't give five stars but it was still nicely crisp and buttery with a good amount of filling. My friend is gluten-free and unfortunately there weren't a lot of options for her, but the raspberry square she got she said was very good. My Americano was also yummy and not too bitter. Just a note that by 10:30 the pastry case already had quite a few sold out items so that's something to keep in mind if you come later in the day for a sweet treat. In my opinion Maynard is lacking in cute cafes so I'm glad to know Boston Bean House is an option with decent food and drinks! I do want to come back to try their sandwiches too.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is equal parts cozy and enchanting -- dim lighting, chic décor, and just enough buzz to feel alive without being overwhelming. We kicked things off with a Witches Brew that was downright spellbinding -- a drink that could charm even the most skeptical Muggle. The Espresso Martini was pure wizardry: smooth, bold, and guaranteed to keep you wide-eyed through the night. A mixed drink rounded out the trio, each cocktail crafted with flair and a touch of mischief. The food was a playful parade of indulgence: * Tater tots that were crispy little golden spells. * Meatballs that packed a savory punch. * Sliders that were small but mighty, disappearing faster than you can say "Accio burger." * Goat cheese that was creamy, tangy, and downright addictive. * Raviolis that felt like little pockets of happiness. * caramel cheese cake was outstanding The staff? Absolute charmers. Attentive without hovering, quick with drinks, and genuinely welcoming. You get the sense they love being part of the magic here. Velvet Vine isn't just dinner -- it's an experience. Come for the cocktails, stay for the tapas, and leave already planning your next visit!
