Seriously? Here you are in an awesome location serving probably the worst food I've ever had. I literally have nothing good to say about this annoying place. Food was terrible with small portions and outrageous prices. Service was slow. I was beginning to wonder if it would ever get to our table. We sat outside. The musician on the keyboards was a nice touch, but the most annoying part to me was the constant interruption from a man in his eighties trying desperately to hustle us into buying something from his insanely overpriced western wear shop in the same plaza. He tried to guilt trip me into buying something for my fiance. I completely ignored him. He kept coming back for the hustle. Pointing to me he said "He said he'll buy you something." "I own the building" Blah Blah. We drove 800 miles to get here. We wanted privacy for conversation, NOT a hustle. And he never let up. Sat near us and kept yakking. The more I ignored him, the more he glared at me. They don't even come close to understanding that restaurant customers don't come there to listen to him trying to sell you his merch like a timeshare salesman. I felt like I was in a plaza in Barcelona's gothic quarter with people constantly coming to your table trying to manipulate you into buying a collapsable wooden bowl. Caffe Greco has a great location in Canyon Road and nice vibes for a casual afternoon in town. However, overall the service is quite slow and the food ultimately a little disappointing. When visiting with family, I had ordered a slice of a premade casserole, and after a 40 min wait for the food, it finally arrived still cold in the middle. They were upfront about the wait time, which I appreciate, but in the end the overall experience was just fine. read more

As we were visiting local galleries along Canyon Road, we stopped in for a cup of tea. The bathroom was disgusting. The staff was pleasant. It took a very long time to get a cup of tea. The decor is whimsical but maybe get a cup of tea before you head out to the galleries. read more

Location has possibilities. Run by a couple in their 80s. They have 1 person working the kitchen. It's one of the only options on Cayon road for early meal. We were a little hesitant but decided to give it a shot. Very small inside. It was very cold inside. The owner was trying to get the fireplace going. We ate outside were it was warmer in the sun. Ordered the Greek fries and Frito pie. With 2 sodas it was $43. The food was quality was worth about $5. Old tasting frozen crinkle fries with some parsley and feta. Cafeteria quality Frito pie. We only ate part of it and decide to walk somewhere else to try. Sounds like they are selling building. Not sure about the future of the restaurant but I would seek other options. read more

Terrible experience eating here. They have a nice patio and my in laws wanted to try their Swedish pancakes for breakfast. After we got seated, we ordered coffee and orange juice. I knew we were in trouble when the waitress brought out small Tropicana orange juice bottles. I was missing the fresh squeezed orange juice already from the hotel and the good coffee. Their coffee is just OK. The trouble was the food. We ordered 4 portions of Swedish pancakes (crepes), they bring you 3 of them. I hate when in restaurants they don't bring all the food in the same time! They are crepes, you cook them fast. I was the one who didn't get her food. Am I supposed to watch the others eat? The waitress decided that I am the one who has to wait. She later brought me a crepe and a half and later another half. So I got delayed and was gipped! The trouble was their lindenberry butter, it's inedible. Taste horrible! Had better Swedish pancakes at Ikea! The service was poor, inside it's dark and dirty, same with the bathroom, needs some scrubbing. On top, the owner showed up when we were eating not to make sure everything is OK but to try to sell us on a shop next door that also owns. We joked a bit and he left. When we were ready to get up and leave he showed up again, hassling us like a cheap salesman to come to his store again. It was such a strange moment, I even dropped my tote on the ground. It was unbelievable! How about serving some food you can eat! It's a Greek restaurant but I doubt they can cook a Greek meal, they can't even spell the names correctly in the menu! Prices are higher than they should be! Don't get fooled that this place is on Canyon Rd. Don't know if it's a tourist trap. It's just a bad restaurant, they don't know what they're doing. If you're strolling Canyon Road to lookie-loo all the fancy-schmancy southwestern art, then you're bound to see this popular watering hole and wonder, like Jamie W. and I did, whether it was worth a stop for a bite and a sip. It is albeit briefly. The patio was quite inviting though the live music was a tad dreary as she performed a weepy guitar as she sang. The vegetarian Greek omelet was the perfect fuel we needed before heading down Canyon Rd. The service was quick & efficient. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the live music. There was an elderly man who stopped by our table to chat and invited/hassled us to visit his shop next door. We were polite and went into the store while he followed us around. There was an all white dog laying in the corner that we gave pets to. He said the 3-year-old dogs name was 'Ghost', repeating over and over how the dog wouldn't hurt anyone & was part wolf. We were on our way out when the man stopped us to sing/spit opera at us. Overall, the experience was creepy, and I left wanting to take the dog with me. read more

Went there some years ago and had good experiences but then the cook was fired and I've never received such awful service and the " huevos rancheros" were unrecognizable . No tortillas!! Someone was mopping the floor with something like Pinesol and the odor was overwhelming . The wait staff argued with us about what huevos rancheros was supposed to be like . I grew up in New Mexico and the wait staff, owner and new cook were rude to me. Maybe it's better post covid . I still might venture there to see if the old chef is back. We stopped in for a drink and sat on the patio. The 87 year old owner came by, told us that he bought the place 13 years ago and that Santa Fe was a wonderful place where everyone loves everyone. Then he launched into a Fox-newsworthy diatribe about how there was no racism before "they" started teaching critical race theory. He said he was a former teacher and there was no racism when he was teaching. I asked him to stop and said I didn't want to talk politics, but he just couldn't understand that and challenged me on it. I didn't start the conversation and didn't even really want to talk much with him on the first place. I can't tell you about the food--we left. BTW: the woman playing the guitar and singing was absolutely awful. Stay away from this place! read more

NOTE: Don't just sit down at a table. You have to go inside to be seated. Short and sweet - super convenient if you're on Canyon Road, pretty good food, pretty bad service. We went in for a quick, light lunch. We got the light part just fine. My wife had the posole, a large bowl with moderately-spicy red chile and a couple of flour tortillas. It was very tasty. I got an ala carte chicken taco with red chile and a side salad. Both were very good. What we didn't get was a particularly quick meal. Our waitress brought out drinks quickly, then disappeared. We waited 15-20 minutes with no one coming to the table, either to bring food or check on us. We saw our waitress inside, playing with a dog for most of that time. Finally, another person (the manager?) walked out with her and made some excuse like 'sorry, I asked her to do something else for me.' I guess this could have been true if she asked the waitress to play with a dog for her. Thankfully, the food came out hot and was good. But when we wanted more tea, the waitress was nowhere in sight. My wife finally had to get up and go inside to find her. When she came to ask if we were done and we said no, she promptly pulled out an iPad and took our payment. Needless to say, we didn't leave much tip and we're usually generous. It's clear from other reviews that the service drags down the ratings on Caffe Greco. This should be easy to fix. I hope so. We might give them another chance, because we did enjoy having a light lunch on Canyon Road. But if the service is like today, there won't be a 3rd trip. read more

I really want to like this quaint little cafe at the foot of artsy Canyon Road, but the lackluster food and poor service are pretty consistently disappointing. On the upside, this restaurant has one of the nicest outdoor patios in town - overlooking Canyon Road. I had the Green Chile Cheeseburger and fries, and both were sub-par. The burger was pretty flavorless and the crinkle fries were worse than most fast-food joints. The service here is lacking, too. But then again, on the plus-side, on the weekend there is usually live music to enjoy. (Prices are much cheaper here than most other restaurants on Canyon Road.) read more

Came to Sante Fe for the week to write and this place was recommended to me as a local cafe with food by my airbnb host. It looked just like the pictures but when I walked in it seemed dead, too warm, and no one else was there except for the wait staff who were casually sitting around. When I got seated and ordered, the owner of the established came over to my table and just stood in front of me looking at me for an uncomfortable amount of time before saying hello. I figured he'd just come by to make sure I was happy with the service but then he called me handsome. Then repeatedly told me he liked me a lot. Then asked me if I was sitting with anyone else, and when I told him no he told me that's good and then asked me if I was into women or men. When I told him that was personal and that he was making me feel uncomfortable he stepped closer to me and told me he liked me again and then reached out and touched my shoulder, at which point I had to scream for him to get his hand off me. It should be noted that I'm a black person in a majority white town but this place is unsafe for anybody. DO NOT GO HERE. The owner is disgusting, tone deaf, and a sexual harasser. I immediately had to leave without eating. read more

Very cute cafe. Large space with indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of art hanging inside. I had a veggie burrito with chile on the side. Chile wasn't overwhelming in terms of spice which is a plus for me. The burrito was good but nothing special. It was more about the atmosphere for me. Very friendly service. When the owner arrived, he told us to have a look in his jewelry store next door and consider buying a $6K bracelet. We happened upon this place on a Saturday morning on our way to ski. We got a smothered breakfast burrito and huevos rancheros both Christmas style. They were delicious! Now nothing in life is perfect, so as a human I can say this place rocks. It has everything anyone is looking for, excitement, location, food, nice atmosphere. Everyone will have their expectations and their "standards" for what is good but this purely an awesome family run Resturaunt. Everyone in the family is so unique and each of them are so excited to have you as friends and as a customer. I live near by and will be walking or biking here as much as I can until they get tired of me. What a terrible experience with the server. The food was "meh" but this review is mainly the waitress. First off, she greeted the table not by saying hello or welcome, but what do you want to drink? And we didn't have a food or drink menu on our table yet. Secondly, when she finally took our drink orders I could smell alcohol on her breath. She was a very angry woman and argued with us when she brought us two cans of beer that were supposed to be IPA's and the other two beers were Pale Ales on draft. She told us the can of beer was the IPA when it read "Santa Fe Pale Ale" right on the side of it. This was after she looked at my friend and snapped at her saying "what are YOU doing pouring THAT beer into the glass? That's not yours, that's the IPA. Yours is on draft..." oh and she charged us for the extra beer she brought us. end of rant, food came out and was only decent. The chicken rice soup was very bland. read more

We stopped in this vibrant, cozy café for a little charge up whilst gallery roaming. The coffee was hot and the chile apple empanada was delicious - a sweet shortbread-like pastry filled with cinnamon and apple and a surprisingly pleasing heat from green Chile. Pleasant coffe hose on the scenic Canyon Road. The coffe and tea my wife and I had was well-prepared. I noticed tht they offered breakfast, that looked goof from what I saw. The outdorr patio offers a peaceful view of the acivity nd some of the patios along Canyon Road. Had we not had breakfast ealier, this would have been a good spot for it. The servic is attentive and adaptive. We ah some special requests that weremet with humor and creativity. This palce is an easy walk from the center of the city, near the downhill end of Canyon Road, so it is easy to find. We will return next time we visit Santa Fe! read more

This place is awesome. I am in town visiting family and friends and they recommended Caffe Greco to me. I came with 5 other people, we all ordered different things and we all cleared our plates (if that tells you anything about how good the food is). The place is fun, funky and has great personality. We also met the owners, who are a fantastic and sweet couple. They actually took our orderers and cleared the table. Talk about service. I will becoming back here on my next visit. Came here for lunch before Canyon Road tour, and was mildly disappointed in the food and service. The latter was just ok as food server was new and she had to come back and after taking our order, had to come back twice to ask how burger needed to be cooked, etc. I had the omelette and menu says comes with bacon, sausage, ham so I asked for sausage thinking it would come on the side. It was chopped into cubes and cooked in the omelette which I didn't expect. It was still good, not great. The Reuben sandwich was huge, but my son said the corned beef was stringy and he had a hard time eating it. The burger was deemed ok, as was the frito pie. The owner came over during our meal, told us he owned the building and that we needed to go to his clothing shop after we ate to pick up some new clothes - this was after he called my son a girl.
