Was looking for a Sunday breakfast spot and the Cafe weekend did not disappoint. To start I had their special latte. It was topped with an espresso foam, a little sweet but delicious. My husband had the fresh squeezed oj, how can you go wrong with fresh squeezed?!? We both had the omelette, I had the western he had the meat lovers, both were large and tasty. I am gf, they had no toast option and they usually put the home fries and hash browns in flour to crisp them up. I requested that they not and they were still tasty. I recommend for breakfast.
This place is so cute! So tiny but full of flavor. Everything seems to be made with so much patience. The best part were the pancakes and the drinks. We ordered the omelettes, and they were good but the eggs might it been a bit too well for our tasting, and the potatoes a bit too crispy. The service was slow, but it was worth it once the food came out.
Cute all-day cafe with range of food and drink options but primarily breakfast and brunch-oriented. Staff were super friendly and welcoming and prices were very reasonable (I can't remember the last time I paid less than $4 for a breakfast sandwich!). Food-wise, they make a solid, basic breakfast sandwich but the pancakes, croffles and other baked goods are the standouts. The chocolate chip pancakes were excellent - sweet without being too cloying and delightfully fluffy!
Came with friends for breakfast. I'm from out of town, but my friends are the regulars, so they were bantering with the waiter. Folks are very friendly and helpful here! There's tables mostly for smaller groups, but they easily accommodated us and another large group. I ordered the fig prosciutto panini, which was admittedly smaller than what I was expecting but delicious for breakfast. Coffee saved me from my early morning flight too-- effective and tasty. I think my only knock was that I'd have hoped my particular dish was a bit more generous in portioning, but given a look at the other things my friends ordered, this looks like it's not necessarily the norm across dishes. Great quick bite-- parking is pretty easy on this street in the morning too, so I'd recommend!
This was our first time coming here, and upon entering both the waiter and waitress were very friendly, attentive and gave great recommendations. There were a lot of options for food and it was hard to decide! They have everything from Shakshuka to their "croffle"! ( croffle- croissant waffle with different toppings) We shared a Nutella and hazelnut croffle, and had omelets. The croffle was incredible- very decadent- and the omelets were very generous with their portions and had toast and home fried potatoes! It's a small spot, but doesn't feel crowded at all overall great experience and would come back!
The cutest little cafe I've ever been too! I found this on Yelp and was ready to try after seeing the menu. On a Sunday morning , once checked in we got seated within 5 mins ( lucky us ). Once seated in this little cafe, our server immediately greeted us and got our drink order. I had to flip a coin as all the coffees sounded amazing. I went with a hot caramel macchiato and probably the best I've ever had and I'm a coffee junky 10/10. Then the food - holy wow ! The tables around us had me drooling and then our food came and it was so good! Portion was huge and we left so full. The western omelette was HUGE and came with a side of home fries and your choice of bread. I decided on sour dough which was very good. Strawberry pancakes looked like the viral fluffy pancakes and covered in sweet strawberries. If I lived here, I'd come every Sunday ! I loved the ambiance, the tiny space and the food and coffee . 10/10

Came back and the food didn't hit the same. Matcha einspanner was a little too sweet for my liking and the toowoomba panini was a little heavy. We did have to quickly leave so I appreciated them rushing the order for us! Small space but they have an extensive menu so maybe other items are better! Got the oriental salad and the portion was very generous
I've been coming to Cafe Weekend for coffee for a while now -- the Einspänner is still my go-to and never disappoints. Finally made it in early enough to try the food since it's usually packed. Be warned: the menu is a lot. It's slightly overwhelming at first and the portion sizes aren't super clear. The space is also pretty tight -- they've definitely maximized seating -- so it feels cramped when it's busy. Service had that subtle "we need this table back" energy. Not outright rushing, but you can feel the turnover pace. Food-wise, the specialties looked massive, so we ordered less of those and opted for sides instead... which somehow ended up being even more food than we expected. Portions are generous. Everything was good and solid, nothing mind-blowing, but I appreciated that it wasn't greasy. The hashbrowns were a standout -- more reminiscent of a Jewish potato latke than your typical diner hashbrown, and absolutely worth ordering. Overall: great coffee, solid breakfast, big portions. Come early, eat efficiently, and you'll enjoy it.
Came here for dinner and enjoyed the pasta I had! They have other italian food too as well as other options. Really good portions and the atmosphere was very casual.
Really solid breakfast overall and definitely a place I'd come back to. The pancake was unique and super fluffy, easily one of the highlights of the meal. On the weekend special, the portion size was generous, especially with the amount of meat included. Tons of bacon, sausage, and ham, which made it feel like a great value. The eggs were supposed to be over easy but a little less runny than i would've liked. The drop the eggs sandwich came with nice fluffy eggs and paired really well with the special sauce, which was sweet and delicious. The weekend latte was excellent. Tasted like it was 1000 calories in the best way possible The only downside was the potatoes. They were pretty hard and lacked seasoning and flavor, which stood out compared to how strong everything else was. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with a few standout items and just a small miss on the side. Definitely worth checking out, especially for brunch.
Great customer service! When we mentioned it was our first visit, they happily recommended a few dishes. Pictured here is the **Drop the Egg**, which was delicious--definitely on the spicier side if you enjoy a bit of heat. I also ordered the **Western Omelette**, which was hearty and very satisfying, perfect if you're looking for something more filling.
This is a casual food spot that is a popular brunch spot. Even on a weekday, it gets quite crowded here. The staff were nice to us and allowed us to move to a table once someone left but this place is seriously small that I would say a party of 2 ppl is the max I would be comfortable with here. I got a hash brown sandwich and it is everything you can ask for in a carb heavy brunch item. Although it is mostly savory, it was a nice touch of sweetness in the sauce and bread that breaks up the saltiness. Drinks wise, both my friend and I were not a fan. They were pretty basic with nothing special about them and could've done without them. Matcha latte was super sweet and is not made with great matcha.
Cafe Weekend is a bright and minimalist breakfast spot in Allston. Each table has syrup, sugar, salt, pepper, and hot sauce, and you can scan for the online menu. Service was quick, and our food took around 20 minutes. We got the bacon cheese omelette and Nutella banana pancakes & both were delicious. The omelette had the bacon and cheese folded inside and paired well with the crispy yet soft potatoes (we asked for ketchup on the side). The pancakes were sooo fluffy and I love the combo of Nutella and banana. Total came out to $35 after tip and tax. The bathroom is in the bathroom behind the kitchen so be careful walking down. Such a cute spot for breakfast foods anytime, especially if you're craving soufflé pancakes! read more

AMAZINNGGGGGG!!!!! I love coming here and I've loved it since the first time I came. Their French toast is delicious every single time. I love ordering the Benedict, it's hits the spot. My mother is obsessed with their Shakshuka and is always happy when she orders it. We also tried their Weekend Burger and it so good, I will definitely order it again. This place is truly amazing from the food, to the service, to the ambiance and the staff. The staff are so sweet and kind, it makes the trip all the more worth it. The place always has such a nice and comfy vibe. Our server was Dong Eun and he was so kind and extremely attentive with anything we needed. This is my top place at any time of the day wether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. I know I'll be happy & satisfied when I eat here. read more

This is one of my favorite brunch spots. The service is so considerate and friendly. The food prep time is more than reasonable and the FOOD IS DELICIOUS! The ingredients are fresh and well balanced. My fave on the menus are the French toast and the blueberry croffle. This place is straight out of a K-drama and that doesn't hurt. read more
The concept of this cafe is a late breakfast theme~ serving breakfast/brunch until 5pm. I ordered a chocolate waffle to share and pancakes! The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious. The chocolate crofal (croissant +waffle) was honestly the best. In every bite, you could taste the layers of the pastry and the chocolate syrup really enchanted the texture. There was plenty of searing and empty spots when we came around 4pm. Tables were clean, and the waiter was present and welcoming. The food did take a while to arrive, but I could tell they were working on my fluffy pancakes! They played kpop on the background and made me feel like I was in a kdrama. Rating: Came to try their fluffy pancake. Its a small brunch focused shop near Allston area. Parking is difficult to find but doable with little walk. The place only has few searing but was not too crowded with background of K-pop music. . We were sat down quickly and placed an order. We ordered chocolate crof and nutella and banana pancake. Croffle was exactly its name where it's a hybrid of waffle and croissant with chocolate drizzle on it. Simple but sweet and tasty. Fluffy pancake with banana and Nutella was good. Definitely fluffy and sweet. Overall the place was solid. Service was good and food was good. My partner liked it a-lot but personally i thought it was okay. I prefer other desert options around the area. read more
Had a great brunch experience at Cafe weekend! This small cafe has intimate seating with a modern cutesy aesthetic. We were immediately greeted by sweetest server of all time - he was so happy and helpful. We both started with the buttercream latte - which was rich, sweet, and super creamy (not much of a coffee flavor but is caffeinated). I ordered the smoked salmon sandwhich - I really enjoyed the savory combo of the salmon and cream cheese paired with the sweet pickled onions. I felt like it was also a decent portion paired with the side salad. I will definetly be back! read more
I went here for brunch! Tried the matcha latte and taro latte. Beverages are a little bit sweet, but definitely wait for the ice to melt a bit more and enjoy it. Ordered the nutella croffle and weekend brunch with sausages only. Very aesthetic in the food and menu options! Service is very nice! It is a cozy environment to dine in. It is quick turnover so wait was not too long during my experience. I was very full after the meal. Overall, it is a cute diner experience with a korean fusion to it all! read more

I saw this place had soufflé style pancakes, but when I also saw they had a taro latte that sealed the deal. Came for brunch and everything was delicious! It was about a 35 min wait. I got the bacon egg & cheese on a croissant, and my friend & I split a stack of the strawberry pancakes. The egg sandwich hit the spot- such a buttery and flaky croissant. The pancakes were yummy as well and light and fluffy, although next time I'd get chocolate chip because that's more my vibe. And the taro latte was amazing!! It's a bit small and crowded inside, but that didn't bother me. read more
My go-to place in Allston after a meal for coffee!!! Their weekend latte stands out the most and I have got it so many times. It is on the sweeter side and reminds me of the once trendy Dalgona coffee. I recently also tried their cream latte and definitely on the creamier side just like the name - I like how the espresso taste stands out too. Baristas are always very friendly! It is a tiny but cute place and there is a lot of seating for a small space; there is also bar seating as well. They also serve brunch and dinner. I have tried their brunch once and I remember their shakshuka really standing out (I can't find the picture sadly). I recommend this place for either a quick coffee and pastry or a meal! It can get really packed on weekends and you might have to wait for brunch. -9/10 read more
Food and Drink - 2/5 Ambiance -2/5 Service - 3/5 Was influenced by social media and friends to check this cafe out and was thoroughly disappointed. We wanted a chill café with good coffee, and I was intrigued by the fact that they had einspanners. We ordered a couple of einspanners and a couple of croffles to start with the possibility of ordering more food if we were hungry. The einspanners came out relatively quickly but could immediately tell the Americano was too watery. The first sips confirmed that. Maybe I'm spoiled by einspanners in NYC? After 15-20 min of finishing our drinks and chatting, we were wondering why our croffles, which seemed pretty straightforward, had not arrived. It took a while because they're very busy and typically have a line it seems but we flagged a server and asked about our food. They went to check and the way they came and said "just one minute" led me to believe they'd forgetten to put the order in. The blueberry cream cheese croffle and bacon cheddar croffle we ordered came out quickly after that. The bacon cheddar was well studded with cheese and bacon, but the other was not covered in a thick blueberry puree as we we told but a thin blueberry syrup with no actual blueberry pieces. The other breakfast food other tables were getting looked tasty but at this point we were fed up. We again had to wait 15-20 min to get someone's attention to get the check (see attached picture and "Same Time" under the food orders), which confirmed they'd forgetten to put our order in. The sad part is, until this we'd been chatting about how lovely and personable the staff was! But they did not explain what happened nor did they apologize, which was very disappointing. We won't be back for coffee but maybe we'll do takeout, if that's an option. Also, having to access the bathroom through the kitchen, down the steps and then through storeroom seems like an accident waiting to happen and poor design. read more

The customer service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about the guests. The food was delicious and well prepared. Portion sizes were very generous. For the price, the value was outstanding. Everything felt worth what we paid, if not more. Brunching in Boston has been more meh than my annual performance review and cafe weekend is no exception. There's always an inherent excitement when you hear Korean American fusion food because who doesn't have a lil too much Koreanboo in them nowadays? Their must order dish is probly the Toowoomba Panini ($17). They took the hit dish from Outback and made it better as they always do by adding stuff like soy sauce and Gochugaru (duh). Taste just like a saltier and less heavy version of Alfredo sauce to me. There're a few shrimps and mushroom slices in the sauce. Maybe they realize this sauce is salty af so they throw in some under proofed ciabatta bread and overly seasoned arugula. The portion is decent so it does also get heavy and greasy at the end (or after 3 bites). The fig prosciutto panini ($14) sounds like a good idea, who doesn't like a sweet savory sandwich? It tastes just like how you'd imagine it. Idk how but the fig is more overpowering than the prosciutto so it's on the sweeter side. The matcha basque cheesecake ($8.5)is also pretty meh, kinda dry and bland with a hint matcha flavor. The taro latte and the weekend latte ($5.45) are both decent, refreshing and not super sweet. Service was kinda slow but pleasant. With the slow service and limited seating space there's always a wait. read more
Nice cozy place! Be warned that if you come here on the weekends (and want breakfast/brunch) make sure to come early as this place fills up fast. We sat at the counter which was nice to see the owner and cooks making the magic happen! Items we ordered (as of 3/2024): - Strawberry Pancakes - $13 - Huge in size. Texture was fluffy and the strawberries added a nice natural sweetness. Only wish the pancakes had some more sweetness to them as they were a bit one note. I'd likely try another pancake in the future. - Shakshuka - $15.50 - On the note of huge in size, this dish is enormous and can definitely be shared. There is a nice spice to this dish and really hit the spot on the cold and rainy day we had it. While not spicy at first this spice will really ramp up as you eat this! Be warned if you're not a spice person. This went great with the pancakes! - Smoked Salmon Sandwich - $14.50 - This was my favorite. The croissant was perfectly flaky and paired well with the smoked salmon. Quantity was also great. Overall we enjoyed our meal and look forward to coming back and trying their other menu offerings in the future! read more

Had been to Cafe Weekend once before to get brunch takeout years ago; glad we came back to try their new dinner menu. We ordered the kimchi arancini, weekend burger plus French fries, and toowoomba pasta - TASTE: 4/5 - the toowoomba was the star of the show w its comforting sauce, tasty shrimp, and flavorful mushrooms. Enjoyed the kimchi flavor in the arancini and the burger's Korean beef bulgogi patty TEXTURE: 5/5 - the arancini had nice contrast w its kimchi filling and crunchy, deep-fried coating. The burger was saucy (and messy lol) w perfectly-fried fries. Again, pasta was 10/10 in texture w rich, creamy sauce, tender linguine, and the satisfying bread bowl to soak up sauce PRICE: 4/5 - subtotal wasn't bad, came to $41. Wasn't expecting $4 for the side of fries though SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - the pasta was enormous! Couldn't believe the value of that dish lol SERVICE: 4/5 - space was empty when we walked in at 5:30pm on a Saturday. Our waiter was friendly, and food started coming out 20-30min after we ordered ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - lots of tables and seats packed into the Cafe Weekend space, plus cute wall art. Within the past month I've been here three times for breakfast. The food is delicious every time! This cafe is one of the few places where I clean the plate and leave no crumbs. The staff is always friendly and polite. It's well packed in there so the ambiance will depend on when you go. Early weekday mornings are best if you're looking for a quieter and less crowded experience. I highly highly recommend! read more
Toowoomba Panini 5/5 Blueberry Cream Cheese Croffle 4.2/5 Shakshuka 4.2/5 Prosciutto, fig, and arugula panini 4/5 Matcha Croffle 3/5 Love this place for brunch! Only downside is that it is a little bit on the pricier side for what you get, but it's at a convenient location in Allston. It's a small place with maybe seating for ~25 people and can get chilly inside because of how small the place is and there being no double door. If you're looking for dish recommendations, the Toowoomba panini is quite good. The crunch of the bread with the sauce they have on the side is a match made in heaven! Their blueberry cream cheese croffle and shakshuka are also quite good. I've never had any issues with service. Our orders have always come out in a timely manner. Regarding parking, there's 2 hour parking in a small lot across the street or metered street parking available. read more

Both paninis were delicious. I'd definitely prefer the fig and prosciutto since I like the sweet and salty combination. My daughter loved her caprese. The coffee was ok. I think the espresso shot was not strong enough but that is personal preference. We came on a random. Thursday morning and were the first customers there. They had lots of pick up orders already so the workers took a while to tend to us but they were very nice. The cafe was nice spot to hang and talk. read more

Breakfast all day? Who could not love it? Cafe weekend breakfast options throughout the day and night but don't sleep on their full menu. I had been here once a long time ago and remembered how nice the owner was and I had a similar experience this time around. The space is pretty small but they've done a great job with the seating. There is nice ambient lighting that makes you feel like you are inside of a lava lamp during the evening when the sun comes down. They have a lot of delicious drinks and so I went for the einspanner despite never really having coffee. It was really good and the cream on top was yum central. The shrimp burger which I worried about getting because I have not had great experiences with seafood sandwiches was delectable. Hella messy from the sauce but I ate every flavorful bite. My friend got the boston cheese steak which I tried and considered stealing from her because it was slapped. They were even nice enough to let us try the funnel fries dessert complimentary which i fought to finish as everything was so filling. It's really chill on the weekdays but if you go on the weekend keep in mind they do get very packed. This looked better in the pictures. Seriously speaking, we went on our trip to Boston, and then found that this was relatively nearby Boston University. As a result, lots of college kids. That should've been our first clue. The place is modern. They do Yelp as a means to keep track of their waitlist. Score there. They were pretty savvy with this and the ambiance is quite clean. As for the food, everything looked gorgeous, but admittedly we have had better. That and they clearly don't follow directions. I forgot what it was that they brought me, but I had to correct them that I ordered the avocado toast. Regarding said avocado toast, tasty, but it was not the best I have had. Maybe I ought to have opted for the cruffle or pancakes, but my companion had the pancakes and I had a bite, and well, they were just okay. I think the reason this place is popular is the proximity to the university and that they have many specials. Just look at the tables and you'll see what I mean. read more
Cute, small, and busy. The staff are nice & there's a partial "open kitchen". You'll definitely leave smelling like the grill. Fair warning the food takes a while to get to you. The matcha drink I got was good. But I feel that I may have ordered the wrong dish, because it didn't match the hype of this place. Would definitely try something new if I returned. read more

Cafe Weekend is located on 120 Harvard Ave in Allston, Brighton. My family visited on Tuesday morning to avoid the weekend rush, still, the restaurant was packed the morning of the visit with only one or two available table for four remaining. I'll start with the amazing coffee. I ordered the Einspanner and highly recommend this. The cream was amazing! My husband had the buttercream latte which was good but mine was definitely better. For breakfast items, we ordered the Shakshuka for my son, the egg Benedict with smoked salmon for myself, and chocolate chip pancakes for my daughter. Although I have had better Shakshuka at Tatte, the Shakshuka at Cafe Weekend was good in its own way. It was plentiful. You get three huge meatballs, lots of cheese and sauce, with added peppers, and two toasts for dipping. The egg Benedict was good. Although not soufflé pancakes, the chocolate chip pancakes were addictive. The service was amazing, very quick, friendly, and attentive. I'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu. read more

Don't let the line outside the restaurant fool you, it was a quick wait to get in. The menu has a few breakfast classics and speciality dishes if you wanted to try something new. The shaksuka came out piping hot with a a bit of spice added from the hot peppers. The interior is quite small so best to go with a small party and don't be surprise if your order comes out at different times. read more

This place is a gem. We came up from Florida and read great things about Cafe weekend. Between the 11 of us I was able to try almost everything. Everything was amazing. I had the Drop the eggs with home fries and arugula salad and it was the best bacon egg and cheese sandwich I've ever eaten. The Taro cheesecake..OMG! Service was excellent despite every seat in the place taken. The music and the view of the street traffic was a perfect welcome into urban Boston. read more

Always wanted to come here and we went during a weekday lunch so there were plenty of open spots! The sandwiches we got were so good. The toowoomba sandwich was particularly memorable and so good. I would come here again for desserts and other brunch menus. It is run by Koreans so that was really cool to see, along with them being super friendly! The cafe itself is very aesthetically pleasing for a cute date or brunch. Would come again! read more

- great place to just sit and talk with a friend - the man working there and serving us was incredibly nice, patient and helpful when we had questions! - street parking available - no bathroom - got drinks and dinner here, would try to come back for the drinks and brunch instead of dinner - matcha einspanner: was good but okay! Didn't taste like ceremonial matcha powder being used but it was still decent despite this - weekend latte: so good! Would come here to get this again. Looked kind of like a dagona - olio e aglio: was apart of the dinner menu. Shakshuka 4/5 Toowoomba Panini 4/5 ~First Impressions~ This place is always crowded during brunch time. People are lined out the door and the space inside is pretty cramped. We were only able to get bar seating, all the way in the corner at the time. But the atmosphere is electric and bustling. It was a fun place to be in! ~The Food~ The Shakshuka and Toowoomba Panini were both super savory dishes. The flavors were great, but super heavy. I wish we ordered something else that could cut through the depth of these dishes. The pairing was really good though, being able to dip the panini in the shakshuka for a little extra burst of flavor. I've been here before at night as well. They are definitely much more quiet and plenty of space when coming in for some desserts. Their cakes and waffles aren't too bad with a hot cup of coffee (yes I came at night for those oops). ~The Logistics~ There is plenty of street parking and also a parking lot right across the street. However, depending on the time of day, it gets pretty busy and really hard to find parking. I don't think they take reservations, so it's probably best to get there early if you want a seat for brunch. Otherwise, it can end up being about an hour wait. read more
