The food is to die for! Everything on the menu is French style, of course. I'm not a huge pastry fan so I stick more to the French roast coffee (so good) and the egg salad or French omelette. The pre-packaged egg salad is prepared with mustard added (LOVE) and topped with smoked salmon. The French omelette is stuffed with cheese (Gruyere, I think). It's light, fluffy and AMAZING. Finally, my favorite is the smoked salmon platter- topped with onions, capers and creme fraiche. Love, love, LOVE this place. Unfortunately, they stop serving the regular food menu at 3:00pm. What a cute little cafe! I stumbled upon this cafe with my dad and my fiancé today as we were in the area. We ordered coffees, french onion soup, avocado toast with egg, an apple tart, and a slice of tiramisu. Everything was delicious and the service was great! My fiancé is a huge lover of french onion soup and rated this as one of the best he's had. I personally greatly enjoyed the tiramisu, as it was very light and creamy. This is a shorter than normal review- the French pastries are just to die for and well worth the stop. I loved it when they used to have indoor seating but now everything is to go. When I asked about it, the said due to the small dining area, they gave no plans on doing indoor dining until after the Covid situation - which at this point doesn't look to be anytime soon. Went to get their creme brulee donut (as it's my favorite dessert) and was slightly disappointed with the flavor. Although a good donut, I would not get again because it doesnt do creme brulee justice. Service was good and fast, and loved how you could add your own creamer and sugar. People complain about the parking, but just dont park in the lot. Especially if you have a larger car. You can easily park across the street 20 feet away on the street and seems everyone complaining is just unaware of this or doesnt want to walk the distance. read more

So ironically, I came to this place for a Galantines Day brunch with my friends after I came back from actually Paris, France. I have to say, this is like the cheap and more fulfilling version of that country and the coffee is super strong, so brace yourself for a bitter taste unless you're used to European coffee having that taste. I tried both the basic Cafe Trois blend and the creme brûlée latte. Both very good! But the Madame Croque, even though I didn't order, are just like the ones you get from France but imagine more layers. Honestly, if you have it here, you don't ever have to leave the country to get it. I got the French toast, it's just like any normal which is not a bad thing, it's just like any other basic French toast you get. The salmon platter is prepared like a platter, you kind of have to "build your sandwich" with the food places on the plate. The desserts there are YUM. I am a huge tiramisu fan and the way they have theirs done is absolutely perfect! And let me warn you, one slice of cake is enough to fill two people. Now, my only complaint is that the parking lot there made me nervous AF. It's like super tight, limited parking. If you're coming in a big group, try to condense the vehicles needed. I like had to baby inch my car, which is already small sized, like twenty times to safely back out and exit. This is one case where the high Yelp average seems completely justified. We stopped in for a Saturday late lunch. There were no made to order salads available as it was after three, but the grilled chicken salad from the cold case was still excellent. Great greens, nicely done chicken and a delicious rosemary lemon dressing. Nice baguette slices on the side. A chicken sandwich on ciabatta was very good - quality cheese, cress and roasted peppers rounded it out. The canele made for a nice finish. We took home a fig brioche and an olive ciabatta. I suppose the fig brioche could have been a bit more buttery, but the texture was on point. The moist olive ciabatta held up well. I will reserve criticism for the house iced coffee, which was nothing special. Prices are on the high side, but the quality is there. read more

I have been looking for 20 years for a place that makes French toast properly. All the restaurants, cafes, pancake houses, etc. just touch their slice of bread over the egg-milk mixtures to cover the surfaces of the bread slice and pan fry the bread. What is served is a slice of untouched bread with top and bottom surfaces covered thinly with egg-milk mixture. The interior of the slice is just plain bread. I have been looking for properly prepared French toast with the egg-milk mixture thoroughly soaked through the slice and renders the entire slice a custard-like pudding. I have been disappointed for 20 years. Then a friend recommends this bakery. I went there one week ago and I ordered the plain French toast. The cashier told me it would take 10 minutes. I was delighted as that was a good sign that they would spend the time necessary to soak through the bread with the egg-milk mixture. Ten minutes later, the French toast was served. I cut into the slice, bit into the piece, and I was happily surprised. The French toast was indeed French toast. It was custardy and buttery. It was heaven on Earth for me. I rated it 5*, top rating. I was going to write a review praising this bakery for the wonderful and properly done French toast. But I decided to give it another visit before I wrote a raving review. Today, I ordered a French toast again. It came out in less than 5 minutes and I was slightly concerned. I bit into it and I was dismayed. The piece was just plain brioche bread with its surfaces thinly coated with egg-milk mixture. The inside was pure unadulterated bread. I was hugely disappointed since the last time was so custardy and properly done. I took the plate to the cashier and asked them to prepare another one, with the bread properly soaked through with the egg-milk mixture. The woman manager was eating at a table, came over and spoke with the cashier. She did not acknowledge me nor ask me what my complaint was. After speaking to the cashier, the manager went back to sit at her table. 5 minutes later, another plate was brought to my table. I bit into it and was again disappointed. The "French toast" was still the same slice of bread with its surfaces thinly coated in egg-milk mixture; and the inside was just plain bread. The brioche was nice and eggy and was better than if plain white bread were used. But it did not negate the fact that the bread was just bread, and the thinly coated surfaces did not make this concoction a properly prepared French toast. The woman manager sat at her table and glanced at me. She did not ask me if the second plate was properly done. She was not concerned if I was satisfied or not. She just sat there and did nothing. Because of the second experience, I have to rate the French toast at this bakery a 3* instead of the 5* rating of the first visit. After the first visit, I was very happy I finally found a place that prepares French toast properly and I looked forward to going to hat place for my weekly French toast. But after this visit today, I have to continue with my 20-year quest for the properly prepared French toast. read more

I needed a place to kill an hour and this was the highest ranked "good for working" place nearby. I got a Chai latte and a fruit tart. The Chai latte was average, what you would expect for a Chai latte. But that fruit tart! It used the season's freshest mangoes and cherries. The strawberry on it was a little sour, but it was fine when bitten into with the custard. The base pastry was a little thick for me. It was almost like a biscuit with the custard and fruit on top rather than in, but it was so good! It wasn't that great for working though. Almost exclusively Korean customers when I was there with lots of chit chat and loud-ish ambiance music. I noticed that other people had a loyalty card which I was not offered at all, so I'm guessing favoritism service, which is why I knocked off a star. This is place is good, but there are definitely still some improvements that could be made. read more
