Cute little Boba shop that is quick and tasty. The slushes are especially refreshing on hot days. The plaza that it is located in is a little smaller and a bit more niche for purposes of going to that plaza, but Cafe Tapioca is a worthwhile stop for Boba.

Such a cozy and cute little cafe I discovered today. Conveniently located near dominoes and Paris baguette, which I frequently visit. The cafe has a small nook with indoor games that you can enjoy while sipping your tea or smoothies. I really liked it and the smoothies I ordered were yum!

I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with this establishment. I came down here just to try out their food and their drink, and when I placed my order, they ran out of the regular honey Boba's until my order was being prepped when they told me that a fresh batch of honey Boba was ready so they were able to give me what I wanted. I also had their popcorn chicken, which is very good. Quality of food:A Quality of service:A Value: $-$$

Pound for pound a great place for all your favorite drinks. I especially like their banana strawberry smoothie.

My husband got taro milk tea with boba , the boba was fresh and warm! I got a green tea passion fruit with lychee and they were both delish! The place lookss a bit intimidating but it's pretty nice inside they have some games and other snacks you can buy. The service was okay guys were quiet .. but I don't mind loll

Cute little boba spot tucked in a busy plaza with about 4-5 tables. We got the honeydew and strawberry milk teas, both of which were a little above average. I've never paid so much for popcorn chicken and I've definitely had crispier, more flavorful popcorn chicken elsewhere. Our order also took a while to come out, which was a bit of a letdown since the shop wasn't too busy. But if you're in the mood to chill somewhere during the summer with friends and a board game, this place does the trick.

***DoorDash order*** I was so so bummed with what I got! I ordered a watermelon icy and based on the pictures here I was thinking it was going to be like a blended margarita consistency. Boy was I wrong. Ordered - watermelon icy, 100% sweetness, with tapioca. It was like an extremely watered down watermelon juice that didn't taste anything like watermelon. There was a lot of ice floating in the watered down watermelon juice. Then the tapioca was very under cooked. I took one drink, and did not like it at all. I took another sip to try the tapioca and that's what I realized it was going in the trash. This was not good at all! I have had an icy before from a milk tea place and it's never been watered down like this.

I have coming here for years with my late wife. More recently, a friend has discovered it to her go to place for her milk tea fix. So after years of absence, my friend has influenced me to stop by alone. Stepping in after lunch, there was no wait. My order and drink was made immediately. Today I had the honeydew melon milk tea with boba at 20% sweetness. It brought back memories. All good and you should check it out when you're in the neighborhood.

We have had the matcha boba, cookies and cream milkshake and popcorn chicken. All of it was really good (and we're picky). The guy working was so friendly and helpful and also there are so many board games and cards they put out that you can play. Our family really enjoyed our time here

A fun hang out spot! Be warned, the sweetness level runs on the SWEETER side! The selling point for me is the smoothies, which sets them apart from other boba shops. They make an avocado smoothie that my friend raves about. I got a lychee green tea, 50% sweet (but it tasted more like a 75% or even 100%), it was decent but tasted a bit on the bargain side. If I come back I'll definitely try a smoothie and stay for a game, there are so many options for both!

I think this place might be the only boba spot in Dublin/Pleasanton that opens past 9PM on a weeknight. That's how we found ourselves here at 8:59PM on a Tuesday night after having dinner in downtown Pleasanton and wanting somewhere to sit and chat for a bit over boba. It was definitely a last resort (we scoured Yelp but were met with many "closing-soon" places). It was empty when we got here so we ordered and got our drinks very quickly. I wasn't impressed with my drink itself and would probably give it 1.5/5 stars. I got the Creama Jasmine ($6.89), which unfortunately only comes in the large size; I was sad because I only wanted a regular but this is usually my default order for when I'm trying a new boba place as a control drink. I got 75% sweetness (my usual level) and 25% ice. They definitely delivered on the less ice but I felt the drink lacked sweetness; I guess their standard sweetness levels are already moderately sweet. The creama was not great; it was oddly super salty, wasn't sweet, nor did it have much of a cheese flavor. It was also very thin and basically distributed itself into the tea below without much agitation. I'm used to (and prefer) a thicker, creamier, sweeter creama. The shop interior was nice and had a good amount of seating. We occupied two of the four stools by the front window and two other parties were at the booths and middle tables by the time we got up to go. The lighting was bright and warm and there was music in the background; this made for a comfortable setting for me and my friend as we sat and talked until they closed at 10PM. I certainly would NOT come back for the drinks (at least, definitely not for the jasmine creama). It was audaciously pricy for a below average drink--nearly $7 for a tea with no toppings. However, given that this place is open 7 days a week from 11AM-10PM, I might find myself back here if I'm catching up with a friend and we want somewhere to chat after dinner on a weeknight.

    Lobster Balls & Coconut Smoothie
    Leonor R.

We came because of Coconut Smoothie with only the hope that it be good. As soon as we entered we were greeted with a big "Hello"! We ordered the Coconut Smoothie & a Honey Lemon Green Tea with Lychee jelly. The Coconut Smoothie was good. It tasted like it was made with powdered coconut, but the coconut flavor still stood out. My hubby who only likes coconut smoothies said he would definitely come back for this. The Honey Lemon Tea was not too sweet & blended well with the lychee jelly. We liked our drinks. It paired well with the lobster balls. We liked how they were on two skewers which made it so easy to eat. The dining room is really cute. A large screen played pop music. Wooden tables with benches with soft cushions lined the perimeter of the wall. It made for a comfortable area to enjoy our afternoon snack. This place closes at 10pm so I can anticipate thos being a hang out during the long days of coming up.

The boba is okay and so is the milk tea but it isn't terrible. Service can be slow at times depending on how many people may be working but it didn't take very long which was great. I liked the vibes of the place, but when I had went, the weather was pretty hot and the ac didn't seem to work. Okay boba, nothing to write home about but I wouldn't mind maybe trying one more time.

However, I'm super happy I found this spot, since it is my new go-to for delicious Taiwanese food. Parking is limited, as it's located in a business park area of Pleasanton, and the restaurant itself is small. There are a few tables to dine in if you wish but the vast majority of people take their food to go. This place operates cafeteria style, where you choose your primary protein for your bento, and the sides are all laid out in front of you to choose from. You can pick up to 3 sides. You can just tell everything is made with care and all the ingredients are super fresh. The family speaks mandarin as well! Since it was my first time there, I took a look at what others were ordering and it seemed like one of the popular sides was the bean sprouts. They were indeed super refreshing! I went with the tofu for the second side and for the third side, I chose the braised egg for my husband and the eggplant for me. Both were excellent choices and the tofu was so good, and even had a bit of a kick. The bentos survived the drive home, traffic and all, and held up well in my insulated bag. The meats were tender and there was plenty of rice to soak up all that delectable sauce. My husband enjoyed his pork chop too. I can't wait to return to order some more bentos soon, and I'd definitely recommend Bentolicious for healthy, delicious, and filling bentos that are made with love!

Nothing much about the atmosphere, but they do have seatings both indoor and outdoor. Preferable I wanted to stay outdoors since it's more spacious than inside. It was too many people when I arrived. It's even smaller inside. It seems that this place is mostly meant for takeout. Basically, you're given an entree of choice including rice and 3 other sides of your choice. I selected the Ichiban Fried Chicken. I think it's something I've been seeing from other Taiwanese restaurants. Is it popular in Taiwan? I think so, because it's really good! I also got three sides including tofu, eggplants, and steamed vegetables. They're really fresh and delicious when I had them. Rice is something too because it tastes better than the one we usually have at home. About the drinks, there weren't many options besides water, sodas, teas, and other beverages you can see from the refrigerator. That's alright, but I kinda wish they have specialty ones, which is something you can see from the menu. The cashier was very nice to us. He probably remembered one of the customers sitting outside, walked up to them, and gave them their order. He seems to be very accommodating. He even asked some people to leave from the patio since it's only reserved for customers. Anyways, I'm looking forward to trying more options when I come back. However because they have lunch breaks between 2pm-4:30pm, I most likely can't be visiting during weekdays since I do work and that they might close when I arrive. I'll try my best to return.

But years later, Tasty Pot at Ulferts Center is still one of our reliable go-to spots in Dublin. My wife usually orders the Beef Hot Soup, while I go for the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup - both with a side of rice and either black or green tea during lunchtime. Both pots are consistently delicious, satisfying, and served steaming hot - the kind of hot that clears your sinuses and makes your nose run. For reference, we order them at the "medium" spice level, so either we're weak sauce or they really are that hot and spicy. I especially like that Tasty Pot's meals are complete individual servings. You get the full hot-pot experience without having to fetch ingredients, wait for a communal pot to cook, or coordinate a family-style meal. It's easy, convenient, and perfect when everyone just wants to dig into their own bowl. Service has always been fast, and the food comes out piping hot and ready to enjoy. The wait staff also checks in to see whether you are running low on soup and need a top-off. They also have a rewards program that earns you points toward a free hot pot; it has changed over the last couple of years from a "buy seven, get one free" setup to a points-based system - either way, it's a nice bonus. If you're craving comforting Taiwanese-style hot pot in the Dublin, Pleasanton, or Livermore area, this is an easy five-star choice.

My sister recommended Tasty Pot because she said it was well known for its soup and good service,…read moreso we decided to give this location a try. Unfortunately, our experience at the Dublin location was extremely disappointing. We visited on August 8, 2026, at around 8:45 PM. We are a family of 9 and were just passing through the area on our way to our hotel. Since the restaurant's website states that the closing time is 9:30 PM, we thought we had enough time to have dinner, especially since this was our first time visiting. As soon as we arrived, however, we were told by the server that 8:45 PM was the last call for orders. We immediately tried to order as quickly as possible using the online ordering system because we did not want to inconvenience the staff. After placing our order, we were then told that green tea and other teas were unavailable, so all of our drink orders were canceled except for water. We understood that items can sometimes run out, so we let that go. The biggest problem was the service and atmosphere after we received our food. It was very difficult to get the attention of the staff because everyone seemed to be rushing around cleaning. We genuinely felt like we were a burden simply because we were still eating. What was especially inappropriate was that while customers were still dining, the staff began putting chairs up on the tables. I even took a picture because I believe management should be aware of what was happening. If the restaurant is still open and customers are still eating, this is not the kind of atmosphere customers should be subjected to. Even worse, it appeared that the AC was turned off while we were still eating, even though it was not yet closing time. With hot pot already being a very warm meal, we were literally sweating while trying to eat. After a long day of traveling, the last thing we wanted was to feel rushed and uncomfortable during dinner. We tried not to make a big issue out of it because we were tired and simply wanted to finish our meal and get to our hotel. But honestly, this type of service is unacceptable. I don't know if this is how every Tasty Pot location operates, but if this is specific to this branch, management really needs to address it and properly train the staff on how to treat customers who are still dining during business hours. Unfortunately, this was our first experience with Tasty Pot, and it will most likely be our last. We were hoping to enjoy the food and understand why my sister recommended it, but the poor service and uncomfortable atmosphere completely ruined the experience. With hot pot, the food is already hot enough. There's no need for the customers to leave with a boiling-hot temper because of the service. Very disappointing, and definitely not a place I would recommend based on this experience.
