Really didn't feel like this place was that great. Our waiter had an attitude and made it seem like he could care less about us. The appetizers (meatballs & mozzarella and carrozza) were not good. We didn't finish them. Pasta dishes were okay - penne vodka was bland. Will not be coming back. Edit: just realized our bill was $150 for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 bottles of water! Way overpriced.

Had dinner tonight at Cafe Sapori with work mates and the food was excellent. Everything tried was delicious and the dark chocolate dessert was heavenly. The service was great and the atmosphere was cozy and quaint. Great place for work dinners that allow you the time to socialize.

    Chicken Rossine

Made a resy for 7 pm on a Friday night and glad I did. The place was packed. My girlfriends and I enjoyed all of our meals... Brie appy, bolognese, chicken Parm and chicken rossine. So good. We also indulged and got desserts and they were well worth it. We were well taken care of by our servers. The place is packed with tables... felt like a maze getting to our table. My only complaint is it was extremely loud. I couldn't hear the person across from me at times. It is byob and that is a big plus... as long as they remember to check in and fill your glass. They have their own parking lot as well.

SALMON PRINCIPESSA - Pan seared salmon in dijon mustard sauce

My new favorite place in town. I actually like the fact that it is BYOB. For me, this is a great place to visit and share new brews from way, way, out of town with close friends. Service has always been perfect and having the SALMON PRINCIPESSA - Pan seared salmon in dijon mustard sauce the last time I had dinner there I wonder if I should ever try anything else. (Yeah, I probably still will) The ROASTED BEET AND GOAT CHEESE SALAD - White cherry vinaigrette was a hit too. In warmer weather, they have outside seating. Parking can be a bit of a challenge and so can finding the place. It is NOT on a main drag in any sense of the term. Plug this one into GPS and take care in the tight lot.

    Amazing Beef Carpaccio !!

Amazing food!! Cafe Sapori is Amazing!! From the service to the deliciously executed menu. It took us a minute to make our decision. It was a very tough call. It's also a BYOB. My water was constantly refilled, bread serving was warm and fresh. The specials recited sounded perfectly paired. It's been a while since I have experienced this type of service and attention. We were there for a work dinner. I felt so good. I ordered beef Carpaccio- many restaurants took this out of their menu. So you could imagine how pleasantly surprised I was. Um I ate the whole thing. Main course was the Ribeye - perfectly cooked. I tried to finish it. I took my leftovers home. I was dying to try the crème brûlée. It was dreamy. I will treat myself to another great experience in the spring. If you haven't been. Great date night or any time you like to give your self a bit of attention!!

The meat was the correct type of meat for the dish, beef shank, and every piece was wonderfully tender. The noodles tasted like homemade noodles and had a really nice bite to it. It wasn't too firm or soggy. The broth was flavorful and complex with chili oil for added kick and the added fresh scallions and cilantro really brightened up the dish. The dish by itself was 5/5 stars. I'm surprised I hadn't tried Let's Noodle sooner since it's across the street from one my favorite ramen spots in the area, Ju Ichi. Let's Noodle optimizes a "Hole in the Wall" restaurant, very unassuming but it delivers authentic Asian flavors and delicious noodles. Although I didn't try it, Let's Noodle lets you craft your own noodles with choices of sauce and protein. The interior had very limited seating but a cute bar style table looking out toward the street. The windows where I sat had a nice large ledge which was super convenient to put my bag so it's out of the way and off the ground. The food came out pretty fast despite there only being 3 staff members that I saw - a front desk cashier who doubled as a server to deliver food when ready and 2 kitchen staff. The price was a little above average for what you'd expect for a non-full service restaurant, but it wasn't horrible either considering how close it is to the Green in Morristown. The pork buns I had were tasty but the pork mince inside was minced a bit too finely for my taste. It almost resembled a paste when it should have had a more structured and juicy bite. It was still enjoyable but it wasn't the star of the show. After I finished dinner, I decided to also try the Dan Dan Noodles to go. The takeout container nicely separated the noodles from the sauce so the noodles wouldn't get soggy when I got home. The sauce was flavorful and the noodles had great texture but once again, the pork was so finely minced, like the pork buns, that it really detracted from the quality of what was otherwise a fantastic dish. Overall, my experience was great. I love authentic hole in the wall spots and I am excited to go back to try the other dishes I missed!

The ramen had great depth of flavor, the tempura was crisp and light, and the roll was fresh and satisfying. Even on a rainy Thursday night the place was packed, which says a lot, but we were seated immediately. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient the whole time. I also loved the ambiance of the place. There's something about it that feels very communal, and it was cool being able to watch the sushi chefs and the rest of the team at work. This will definitely become one of my staples in Morristown!

Hardly anyone there so the bartender comes over to take the order despite a bunch of employees standing around and chatting. I would rather have a dedicated waiter / waitress. I see another group of employees all seated at a booth all talking. Makes no sense. We ordered but the Apps and the main course came out all at once before we even got our drinks. Not a big deal. One of my kids wanted some salt for her mac & cheese. Bartender never came back to ask how everything came out. Multiple people loafing around and waking past but I couldn't get anyone's attention for the salt. I asked someone who said we aren't his table and kept walking. I saw this guy up by the bar - collared shirt - looked like a manager. I waved at him and he looked at me and just shook his head and went back to talking to some other bar back.    I was beyond pissed and finally the older manager lady happened to walk by. I said who is that guy in the collared shirt - oh he works here but hasn't started his shift yet. Yea well I just wanted the salt shaker if he bothered to take 2 seconds and see. Or he could have gotten someone else's attention but he didn't, he just blew me off. But the Manager made no attempt to really apologize or ask what she could do. Then our drinks are empty for awhile- none came by to see if we wanted another round. Eventually I'm waving at the bartender who finally comes over and I ask for a 2nd round. Then he forgets about making them and spends 15 mins talking with other employees and doing whatever before I wave at him again. He gives me the nod and The drinks finally come but no limes like the previous round. Honestly I was done - might have stayed longer but with our kids it was time to go. Finally I've included a photo of our view of these diligent employees that are obviously too busy to worry about service or the perception of how things look from a customers point of view. The food wasn't bad but honestly the experience wasn't great. We won't be back.

Parking can be a bit tricky given its location near a major road, but there is metered parking right out front. One thing I really appreciated was the thoughtful packaging. Instead of wrapping everything in paper/foil (which traps steam and softens the bread), they use takeaway containers that keep the banh mi bread crispy and intact. The portions are generous! I don't think I've ever had a bahn mi with so much protein! I personally asked for extra cilantro on some of the sandwiches which is why the cilantro looks so obnoxious in the pictures. Everything was solid and satisfying! The lemongrass chicken bahn mi stood out with its aromatic flavor. The Saigon special bahn mi though, could've used a bit more presence from the mayo and pate to enhance the flavors. Sounds weird, but surprisingly, the sardines in tomato sauce bahn mi was better than it sounds. It was savory and definitely worth trying if you're feeling adventurous. The summer rolls were fresh, clean, and a great complement to the sandwiches. My only note: I wish the pickled carrots and radish had a bit more tang. They leaned mild rather than punchy. Overall, a reliable spot with thoughtful touches and flavorful options. I'd come back again.

The space on the first floor is divided into a lively bar area with plenty of TVs and a slightly quieter main dining room with comfortable booths and tables. There is also seating on an outdoor terrace on the second floor and a few tables in front of the restaurant on South Street if you're up for dining al fresco. It's a terrific option in Morristown that's sophisticated enough for a date on the outdoor terrace when the weather cooperates or a pre-theater meal in the dining room, yet casual enough for beers and appetizers while watching a game in the bar area. The menu captures the essence of modern American comfort food. Whether you're grabbing the Stirling Burger ($18) -- made from a tasty short rib and brisket blend -- or splurging on the Grilled New York Strip ($48) topped with crabmeat fries, the quality is evident. They are also great with dietary restrictions. Between the various poultry, fish, and vegetarian options on the menu and the kitchen's willingness to make moderate accommodations in any other dish, there's something for everyone. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. We recently celebrated my niece's 21st birthday here, and our server made it memorable by honoring her milestone birthday by playfully asking for her ID EVERY SINGLE TIME she ordered a drink. It became a running joke for the night and made the occasion feel extra special. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is that both sides of the main floor can get pretty loud when it's packed and the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Stirling Tavern offers a Happy Hour Monday through Friday between 3pm and 6pm, which features specials on certain cocktails, wines, beers, and light snacks. You must be seated at the bar to take advantage of the promotional pricing. If you enjoy a good Old Fashioned, try the JB ($10), made with Four Roses bourbon, blood orange amaro, orange & angostura bitters. PRO TIP #2: Stirling Tavern does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of paid on-street parking on South Street or Maple Avenue.
