Family run restaurant with great Italian food . Comfortable atmosphere. Had great gnocchis tonight. Good service from waitress Claudia. Parking in back.

Gnudiiiii!!!!!

This place was amazing!!!! The food just kept coming out... one dish better than the next!!! I had gnudi for the first time and it was one of the best things I've ever had the pleasure of eating... the entire table was fighting over them so they brought even more out and we all got to take a few home. That's how good it was!!! I'll be going back just for those delicious, heavenly, pillowy balls of goodness!!!

I've been going to Toscana for years. It is a great experience, and the food is our favorite. The burrata mozzarella is awesome, fried calamari are always tender, and salads are delicious. Pic is of the shrimp special with zucchini risotto. I added the grated cheese. It was awesome! My favorite entree is the steak Pepe which is their version of steak au poivre. I have to tell you that I try the same dish whenever I see it on the menu. I travel all over the country, and Toscana's au poivre is hands down the best I've ever had. That includes 150 a head steak houses! All of their pasta dishes and risottos are tremendous. Their bologonese is also the best we've ever had. The salmon is great. I love the mustard sauce. My wife's favorite is the cod Livornese, which I also enjoy very much. Trattoria Toscana is an experience. The staff does not wear fancy ties, nor do they greet you with fake smiles or pretentious attitudes. What they offer is tremendous food, authentic service, and a familial place simply to enjoy an amazing meal with friends and family. Try anything on the menu from chicken to fish to veal to pasta to steak. I hope that you enjoy it as much as my family and I do.

I now understand why there are less than 20 reviews here.... I'd say most of the people dining are probably not familiar with apps like yelp for example. But I love it like that. On Friday night, needed to wait about 10min for a table. But do call ahead of time cause the my can start putting your name down while you are on your way. Thanks to those who suggested the braised short ribs and brick chicken. Especially the brick chicken... They are so good, perfectly cooked, seasoned and portioned. We could have skipped the salad which was just so so. Our neighboring table ordered a cappuccino that looks divine so we had to have one ourselves. Good call. They are not Byob. The wine by the glass is generously poured. For 2, the bill came to be 80 before tips.

Veal escalopes milanes. Amazing.

Chimney Rock Inn in Whippany is a terrific spot for a casual, tasty, and reasonably priced meal…read morewith friends and family. I recently stopped in for dinner and had a really good experience all around. We chose to sit in the bar area, which offers both tables and seating along the bar itself and great service from the attentive and friendly staff. While it isn't a sports bar, there are enough TVs around that at least one is always in your line of sight to watch sporting events. For my meal, I ordered the Mayan Chipotle Chicken Sandwich ($16). The chipotle-marinated grilled chicken breast was well-seasoned and came topped with applewood bacon, guacamole, and charred tomato on a toasted brioche bun. It is definitely messy to eat, but incredibly flavorful and very tasty. My dining companion really enjoyed the Mahi Mahi Tacos ($18), which includes three soft-shell street tacos packed with blackened fish, salsa verde, avocado, cotija cheese, and coleslaw. The restaurant delivers exactly what you want out of a neighborhood spot -- reliable comfort food, a laid-back vibe, and fair prices. Four stars for the excellent bar service and delicious food. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP: Be patient. Chimney Rock Inn only accepts reservations Monday through Thursday and further acknowledges that you may have to wait 15 minutes or more for a table even if you have a reservation. On the weekend, you can join the waitlist on their website (https://www.chimneyrockinn.com/reservations) to join the queue before you arrive.

And we ended up having a mixed experience to go with those mixed feelings. We had a reservation but still needed to wait a few minutes for a table. The place was packed on a Saturday night for dinner (6pm-ish). We were seated in the back "yellow" room that looked like the inside of a barn. It wasn't as cute or as atmospheric as the front room with the fire place. We were a little disappointed. Also, they sat five of us at a table for four, so we were squeezed in pretty tight...and again, we had a reservation so they knew there would be five of us. Service was very slow. It took quite a few minutes for our server to come to our table and get our drink order. But the drinks were on point...we ordered some of the fancy cocktails and were honestly quite happily surprised at how good they were. I loved the French 75. The buttered pretzel was a great way to start the meal. All the food was amazing. We had some pizza, an order of pierogis, a pasta dish to name a few...all plates were pretty much licked clean. But it took forever to get drink refills (we had to chase the server down) and also to get the check. I wish the decor was less uneven between the rooms. I wish the back room was cuter and less loud. I hope the service continues to improve. And I really hope they do everything they can to keep that amazing bartender. I'll give them another try.

It's in a strip mall and while it could be easy to miss it also stood out to be a very busy place. (Great sign..) We walked in to lots of talks, laughs and the smell of HEAVEN.. A younger gentleman seating people was so friendly and super funny. He jokingly said we should have dessert before dinner, it's tastes better. It was light hearted fun and it set a nice tone. Christina came over to introduce herself, get us drinks and get us started. She could obviously read my face well because the menu was a bit overwhelming... in a good way though because I wanted to eat EVERYTHING!! She came over and told me she was going to choose for me and I liked that. She did not disappoint! Everything we had, including dessert, was phenomenal! Come here, eat it all and come back for more!

The ambiance is what one would expect from a casual BYOB -- slightly better than average decor; attentive but not overwhelming service; and freshly-made and tasty classic Italian favorites at reasonable prices. The dinner menu features a variety of Italian favorites including pastas, chicken, and shrimp dishes, which offers enough variety to appeal to everyone (including those with dietary restrictions like gluten or dairy intolerance). It's obvious that the chef takes pride making meals that present well and taste great. The avocado grilled chicken salad special was the real standout on a recent visit to Nonna's for dinner. A generous portion of mixed greens, fresh avocados, roasted peppers, and grilled chicken, topped with a lemon vinaigrette dressing. The chicken had a perfect char on the outside while remaining moist on the inside. It's hard to find a spot that doesn't overcook the chicken served on a salad, but Nonna's nailed it. We'll definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Nonna's is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Portions are often generous; consider sharing an appetizer or entree if you're not planning on taking home leftovers.
