Just like the one in Bridgewater this place has a great thin bar pie. I preferred the cheese half to the pepperoni side. Ordering online was simple as fast. It's a large spot if you wanna eat it with a large group or sit at the bar and watch a game. Solid spot for pizza, wing, etc

I used to go to the other two Chimney Rock Inns in Somerset County, so when this one popped up in Whippany, I was very excited! On the night we got food from CRI we decided to get take out, I wasn't in the mood for pizza so I opted for the Rock Chop Salad. The salad was good. I got the Southwestern dressing. It wasn't thick like I expected. My wife ordered chips and guac. Chips and the guac were average at best. It isn't quite what we'd get at a good Mexican restaurant (not that I expected something exceptional from a place known more for its pizza). Overall, it was good. The online ordering portal was very easy to use. I wish you could add things like onions to the salad.

Ok we heard this place opened in November and we really wanted to give it a try. I will say it gets very busy so make sure you make a reservation. We were immediately greeted by the hostess, who checked our reservation and since we are early, we just had a wait a short while . Inside had some nice decorations for the holiday season, Staff brought us to our table and quickly got our drinks for us . We ordered several apps and I highly recommend getting the vodka pizza. I got the ribs which were a bit dry but my server did warn me ! Definitely would return,

Stopped in for a late lunch on Sunday. There was no wait and the hostess was friendly. The server took our drink order and apologized for the delay for my husband's drink since they had to get it from the back. The place is brand new and is clean and spacious. My husband had the brisket sandwich and fries. He said he sandwich was good the fried were really good. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos. They were good but not much Mahi Mahi. Also, although I didn't need it, would have been nice to come with rice and or beans. The menu is extensive without being overwhelming. Would have loved to have dessert next time we will try a pizza. .

My wife and I visited the newest location for this group of restaurantes on Saturday, having been to both Bridgwater and Flemington area locations in the past. Walking in, was surprised how much the interior borrows it's looks from the Flemington spot, almost exact mirror view. On the right, more family style dining room and on the left is a bar with high tops and booths. We were escorted to the left which was fine by us. We ordered a pitcher of Miller Lite, served up cold. The wife got a mixed cocktail which she was was good. We started by splitting a garden salad and order of fried pickles, both were just great and served quickly. She got a Founder's pizza with added onion, a small which she literally brought 3/4 home with us. I ordered a large pizza with onions and peppers, did not disappoint. They really get their thin crust right here, it's the best in the area. The cost was in the pocket, pretty much what I'd expect. We brought a lot of pizza home and it really reheated well the next day. Andrew was our server, super attentive and most courteous. Give it a try!!

Got takeout from here - buffalo wings (GF) with guacamole and chips and a coke. The wings were large and juicy. The buffalo flavor didn't pack a punch like I expected it to. Guac to chip ratio was kind of funny actually. The guac portion was pretty small and there were a LOT of chips with it that ended up going to waste. Lastly, the coke was child size. All of it was $31. I like that they have a lot of GF options and I will probably try eating there and trying something else but so far it's just fine like the other reviewer said.

I love me some Chimney Rock Inn, and even better, there's now a location that's much closer. I was really hyped to try out the new location and finally made it there this past weekend. The layout and décor looked pretty standard for Chimney Rock, so it is very similar to its sister locations. My trio arrived a few minutes after opening on Saturday, so it wasn't quite busy yet. We were seated in a separate room off to the side, which would be great during busy times if you want to avoid a higher noise level from the main area. Our server seemed a bit disconnected but managed to get our orders through correctly. We started with drinks and tots, which was a great way to kick off our early lunch. They have so many gluten-free items on the menu, which is one of the top reasons I love the Chimney Rock Inn to begin with. I decided to try a new dish and went with the gnocchi rosa, which was quite good, if not slightly too al dente for some bites. The server seemed a bit off about the fact that I didn't clear my plate of gnocchi, even though I had a small salad and the tots for our app. Nothing ruins my meal more than feeling like I'm being critiqued for not finishing all my food. Overall, I do plan to return and make it a regular spot for my outings, hopefully sans judgement on my portions.

They're knowledgeable about the many items on the menu and kept our waters and chips topped up throughout the meal. The actual food wasn't as great. I tried some barbacoa street tacos and some fried fish tacos. Everything was fresh and well cooked but lacking in flavor - each dish could be seasoned a bit more. I'm hopeful for the restaurant, and I may try it again if they try new recipes or something different to season their food.

I do feel everything would have benefitted from salt, and I wish that as a dine-in customer my burrito had not come wrapped in to-go paper. To give you a sense of the ambiance: the Spanish-speaking cashier/cook was reading a book when I walked in, and the television on the wall was blaring a Spanish-language TV show. I was one of only two customers when I went for a Saturday lunch around 1p. The other customer was also conversing in Spanish with the front of house. I appreciated that a bottled green habanero sauce was at my table, along with Cholula. It helps add to the authenticity. All that said, maybe don't come here for the tex-mex. If I came back I'd try one of the five different kinds of tacos they offered.

After being seated, I walked around the premises and saw a large room for private events, a vast area for outdoor seating, very nice wall artistry, and even a good-sized individual room for a private meal. Shyam was an exceptional Server. He took very good care of us and contributed to an enjoyable meal. I started with a Classic Margarita and it was served in a LARGE glass. So large, that I had to hand over the car keys, afterwards. The Fat Cactus complimentary chips and salsa was AMAZING. First, the salsa had chunks of tomato, onions, and lots of basil. It was so throughly enjoyed, that we asked for a second helping, which they gladly obliged. Our selections were: Chicken Tortilla Soup (Rich chicken broth flavored with onions, tomatoes, corn, black beans, finished with a dash of cream, crispy tortilla chips, avocado, sour cream, and cheese). This soup was served in a deep bowl, had a very nice presentation, and every spoonful was flavorful. The next item was the Burrito Michoacano (Shredded chicken seasoned with authentic Mexican spices, Mexican rice, black beans, pico de gallo, cheese, and chili arbol sauce). This Burrito was huge, all of the ingredients were well seasoned, and I took some home to enjoy during the NFL playoffs. The final item was the Tamales Chicken Pastor (Homemade masa tamales, stuffed with Chicken Al Pastor, served with red enchilada sauce, and topped with creamy sour cream). I'm glad, that I discovered Fat Cactus and will definitely revisit and/or dine at their New Brunswick location.

I opted for the online order and it was ready just when it was promised. The entire order was packaged perfectly, and there were no issues when I opened it I ordered the steak quesadilla with onions and it was very good. It had a slight kick, but as someone who doesn't tolerate spiciness very well, it was just enough for me. I didn't know what to expect from the brussels sprouts but they were sweet and not spicy at all. A great side entree! Overall, a great visit to Tacoria. To quote Arnold Schwarzenegger, "I'll be back!"

Over the last several years, Morristown has seen an influx of several new casual and not-so-casual…read moreMexican and TexMex restaurants.. seemingly replacing the numerous frozen yogurt outlets that were the subject of an earlier culinary trend. Tacoria, which was one of the earliest participants in this recent trend, offers tasty, made-to-order TexMex cuisine in a trendy, fast-casual cafeteria-style ambiance. The cozy dining area, which is open to South Street when the weather is cooperative, only offers about a dozen tables for two or four diners, so it may be difficult to get seating during peak times. On several visits, we've had to stand around awkwardly holding our food while waiting for other diners to finish their meals and relinquish their table for us. After placing your order at the counter from the menu that allows you to build-your-own burritos, bowls, street tacos, salads, or nachos -- all of which is cooked to order -- grab a seat at one of the tables in the dining area and wait for your pager to buzz and let you know your meal is ready to be picked up. The service is very good with counterstaff that's very knowledgeable about the menu and terrific at making whatever accommodations a diner may require (vegetarian, lactose free, etc.). I'm a fan of the Burrito - Al Pastor ($12.50), comprised of ground marinated pork served with black beans, seasoned rice, and salsa in a grilled flour tortilla.. but I was surprised that my entree did not come with even a small portion of complimentary tortilla chips. My dining companion enjoyed her salad topped with marinated grilled chicken ($11), sliced avocado, black beans, pico de gallo, and cheese on a bed of romaine lettuce and topped with a pineapple lime dressing. There's a handful of complimentary homemade hot sauces - which range from mild verde to spicy habenero -- as well as several varieties of Cholula and Tabasco available (and small 'to go' containers if you're planning to dine elsewhere) if you want to kick things up a notch - and a Coca-Cola fountain machine offering unlimited refills of the basic Coca-Cola options (Coke, Diet Coke, etc.) if you've overdone it with the complimentary hot sauces. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Tacoria doesn't have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of on-street parking on South Street. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, the Morristown Parking Authority DeHart Street garage (@ 13 Dehart Street) or lot (@ 12 Wilmot Street) are a short walk to Tacoria.
