I was in the area and saw Bensi in the complex and wanted to give it a try. I came in around lunchtime. It's small & has simple decor. The servers were really nice. I appreciated the immediate attention. I started off with a Bensi Bellini as my cocktail. It was very tasty and strong, and the martini glass was literally filled to the brim. I ordered the Rigatoni bolognese in the lunch portion as my meal. The portion size was still quite large even though it was lunch sized. I can't imagine how big the dinner portion would be. It had a lot of ground beef, and I loved that they gave me my own parmesan shaker because I am a huge parmesan lover. But the sauce kind of felt like it was missing something. The side salad didn't seem too fresh, but it was okay. I was given a basket of bread before my meal arrived. It was a good amount, but the bread kind of tasted stale. The food is decent, and for Italian food, the pricing was pretty good. For a quick bite I'd say stop in and sit at the bar and definitely try other cocktails. But if you're expecting an upscale Italian dining experience, this location doesn't really give that.

Veal francaise with artichoke!

I've read a couple of reviews from Yelp friends whose opinions I value, of this Bensi restaurant. They were all very positive. So, on a late Saturday afternoon, my wife and I stopped in for an early dinner. I have to say I agree with my friends as it was an excellent dinner! In these "COVID" days, this was just the second time we ate indoors. The restaurant was set up perfectly with tables spaced out. If it had been a little warmer, they have a cool setup with two tables outside. Since there's a full bar, we each ordered a glass of wine. Our entrees came with soup or salad, and my pasta fagioli was delicious! My wife had veal francaise with artichokes and I had a dish I never had before, gnocchi cacciatore. The gnocchi was in a dish of chicken, peppers, and onions, in a red sauce. It was excellent! We finished by splitting a piece of limoncello cake. We've been to other Bensi restaurants, but this was by far our best experience at one. The only reason I didn't give the 5th star is because our main courses came out too fast. There should be some space of time after appetizers are finished. Our server was very friendly which means a lot. Parking is easy with a big lot. I certainly recommend this Bensi for a nice meal!

If you are looking for gluten free pizza- this is the spot to check out! They have personal or family sized pies AND even better, there is no additional charge if you need GF (not alot of places do that!) At work we order here for lunch almost all the time and they never disappoint! The service and employees are great- food is always ready fast plus they always check the bag before you leave to make sure they didn't forget anything! (which I love since nothing is worse than getting take out and them forgetting an item) Overall, its a MUST TRY

Inside, the dining area is spacious, and tastefully furnished with a nice warm fireplace in the room. The bar area has plenty of seats and TVs for sports fans. Our server Angela B. was so very pleasant, and attentive. She informed us about weekday events held at The Barn (trivia, bingo, vinyl night) and what sounded like a great Brunch Sat/Sun. We will be returning to experience some of them. We started with "Barnachos" ($18) containing a generous portion of pork (carnitas) and the usual nacho components. No pump cheese here though! Yay My wife had a lovely Greek salad ($19) with feta, grilled chicken, olives, onions, etc. I had a Meat Lovers pizza: pepperoni, sausage, cheese, sauce, peppers, onions, olives, etc ($22). The pizza was served piping hot. The portions were all generous and the food was delicious. We were too full for dessert! The menu really has something for everyone but everything on it has a special twist to it. Check out the menu at: https://thebarnkitchenandbar.com/menu/#view-page. Our server, Kim, did a great job running the bar. Not only were the drinks well made, but she was super friendly. I had a bacon bleu cheese burger with onion rings and my wife had a cheeseburger with fries. Delicious! If you come here, one thing to keep in mind is that it's cash only. There is an ATM across the street at The Exchange though. After passing here so many times, we're really glad we stopped in!

I had the Chicken Parm (with a substitute of a side salad only) and the lady had Fish and Chips Here is the pros and cons. Pros. THE PRICE FOR FOOD IS BEYOND REASONABLE!! The cocktail sauce definitely seems homemade and has a great kick to it. Fries were had a good crisp and the fish was pretty good. The side salad was very good and was a decent portion. The chicken parm and fish portion was a very healthy size. The whole ambiance of the place reminds me of places from my childhood and that makes me happy. Cons. The fish could have been a slight bit moister but over was still good. The chicken parm was a bit bland in flavor and a bit thick in breading. Coleslaw, with the fish and chips, was definitely store bought. Overall, the place is worth the stop on through if you are on a budget or like place that remind you of an era gone by. but still want to eat out. Just remember that it is a CASH ONLY place. This is worth stopping on in at least once! We will be back to try other food!

I thought tonight I would try something new but alas I went with one of my favorites. The braised beef ravioli with sautéd onions and mushrooms in a delightful sauce and some grape tomatoes is amazing. I enjoyed their salad before which was fresh and satisfying to round out my meal. We started the evening with the fig sangria. Honestly their sangria's are the best around. We like the seasonal ones and this didn't disappoint. Fig vodka, Merlot and more, check out the listing of cocktails for ingredients. Hubby had the comforting potato leak soup which comes in a humongous serving and sloppy Joe sandwich. Protein joy for him and he didn't eat all the bread because there was so much stuffed in the sandwich. It comes with these delightful chips. Get them Instead of fries, you won't be sorry. We like to go around 8, have dinner and drinks, then hang out for the band. Apparently they changed the band time to 9, so we might just go for appy's and drinks in the future. Always a good meal and happy vibes from people of all ages.

My daughter is obsessed with the spicy jambalaya arancini and I can see why. They are the perfect size, with rice, sausage, spice and are just yummy goodness. There were 4, so we let her have 2. She ordered the Thai chicken lettuce wraps. You can never go wrong with the wraps! Hubby got a cup of the cream of chicken soup. He said the veggies were a little too crunchy but overall flavorful. For lunch he ordered the veggie burger and sweet potato fries. It was a bit pricey. I went with the Peruvian chicken bowl. Two pieces of chicken, white rice, plantains, veggies and sauce. Yum! We of course loved the brown bread and butter but saved just a bit of room for a piece of Reese's PB chocolate cheesecake. Get it! We were all silent as we ate it which is the sound of a happy tummy!

But the line to just get deserts was open. Just some door dash workers getting their order. The worker asked us if he could help us and we provided our order. Two cheesecakes to go. Then he had me pay and when he printed the receipt for me to sign, there was an open space to add for a tip. I typically don't tip when getting an order for take out. The worker looked at the receipt and smirked. We then received a stapled bag with our desserts. My wife opened it when we returned to the car and noticed the cheesecake slices were very small. Almost half of the pieces that were on display. Note: The two cheesecakes cost $24. I believe once the worker noticed no tip for our take out order, he deliberately gave us the smallest pieces. The restaurant manager should look into this to avoid future customer service issues like the one we experienced today. If you do use this restaurant, take notice and open the bag to inspect the food before you leave. Or just give a big tip to avoid it all together
