Cafe on the Grove is in a small strip mall in a location where there have been several restaurants. This one has to be the best of them. They are open for breakfast/brunch and lunch. Two of our party split a Farmer's Omelet, one got a skillet, and I was the oddball getting a turkey club for lunch. :) The club was great, and they were attentive to food allergies in preparing it. I got my club sandwich with fries - they were hand cut and crisp. Everyone else raved about their food. The food was fresh, tasty, the portions were a nice size, and the service... The service was truly great. Actually, we learned that some of the wait staff (including ours) work at the Capital Grille in Schaumburg during the week, so no wonder the service was so good. With good food and great service, I do recommend Cafe on the Grove. read more

Went for a Sunday breakfast. The food was a little pricy and solidly a tick below average. My sunny side eggs were undercooked, the bacon and hash browns were not crispy, the blueberry lemon pancakes were congealed and hard. The chicken soup (not pictured) had a weird flavor of tacos? The cottage cheese bowl was good, and the cottage cheese was very flavorful. They had good quality tea and decent coffee. Service was friendly but slow. The restaurant has a weird layout but a lot of effort was put into the decor. I wouldn't necessarily go back. The quest for an amazing breakfast in the NW suburbs continues... because this isn't it. read more

Café on the Grove was a great find on Yelp. I was looking for a casual place for sandwiches and I found just that. This café is very inviting yet modern looking. I started with the hot chocolate, which was watery and not very good. I ordered the strawberry fields salad and broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was thick and full of flavor. The salad was crisp and had lots of healthy ingredients. My mother had the strawberry fields salad and homemade chicken noodle soup. This soup was piled high with chicken. Have been twice and had great experiences. Friendly, enthusiastic, and fast moving staff In a very busy restaurant. Did not rush us out on a crowded holiday. Comfortable seating in a bright cafe. One of the best salmon benedicts I have eaten. (Usually the salmon is too cold so the eggs aren't right.) Good grapefruit juice used in the mimosa. A gem of a spot. I called the morning I needed a table for 7. No problem! They had a table set up before we arrived. The service was very good, and so was the food. I had a breakfast burrito that was great and I took home half for later. Everyone else enjoyed their food. What put a smile on my face all the way home was the coffee. I like a bold, strong cup of coffee in the morning, and this coffee was just right for me. It wasn't too bold, or too strong (no burnt taste like I get with Starbucks sometimes), but just right. Yes the food is great, and we have recommended this place to friends when it first opened, but due to one horrible experience which me and my husband walk in , ordered and waited for almost an HOUR for food, seeing people that came before us getting served while here we are drinking our drinks feeling like the odd people. they did apologize for the issue but sadly the same happened to a few of the friends we recommended this restaurant to. i do suggest to train your staff better, as of now those gift cards we received as an apology will sit in my counter collecting dust. read more

Just tried this place three minutes from where we live and we were not disappointed at all. I made my own skillet and it was incredible made exactly the way I ordered it. My husband got biscuits and gravy and he said they were the best he's ever had. They have fresh squeezed orange juice. The coffee is excellent. The current decor looks more intimate dinner for two that breakfasty if that's a word and if you know what I mean... it's really nice (pics below) I had the Southern Benedict which, I'm assuming is further south than I would call southern, had chorizo and avocado, the eggs were perfectly poached, it was great. My wife ordered her eggs over hard, but they were a little runny, still. The server Frank comped our coffees. So when we got the bill we were very pleased. Also! Folks, there is finally a decent Bloody Mary in Rolling Meadows! Medium spicy was just right, a little spicy, a little boozy, just right... I'll go again, I'll recommend it to friends. I cannot even begin to explain my love for this place. To start, the employees (especially the waiters) are some of the KINDEST people you will ever meet. The waiters always treat us like friends and are so outgoing, polite, and beyond kind. The food is always amazing, always delicious. I personally love the cinnamon roll pancakes. Even if the food wasn't good, I would give this place a five stars for their waiters alone. They have the best staff out of all the restaurants I've ever been to. The food I would give 4 stars. Cinnamon roll pancakes are delicious. I have been here twice now and have ordered 2 kids meals both times and on the menu it says it comes with a drink but they charged for an extra soda both times. My son just drinks water bec that is what he likes. My daughter gets a soda. My husband might get a juice and I get water. Both times my husband paid online before I scanned and reviewed the bill on fetch and this time I told the manager who was in the front that maybe it's a system issue bec the first time, fine maybe it's a fluke but a second time seems like it's not a fluke. He of course didn't seem to care he was busy on the phone watching a show something and I was interrupting him. The server came and apologized and said he didn't know and he was very nice. I keep getting the next time you come which I am not sure what that means and am I to complain the second I come in about my previous experience. Seems weird and I told him that.. I have both receipts from my visits from 7/21 at 1:40 table 51 and 10/5/24 at11:43 table 53. The servers were nice both times and maybe it's a training issue and that's on management..
