I've started becoming a regular at Rep's Place. My family and I regularly attend their Tuesday night trivia games. The trivia takes place around their bar and there is plenty of seating and you can hear the host clearly. I've had their salads and pizzas and both are good. Their peanut butter hamburger is a must try. For dessert, I recommend the cookie skillet. Their servers are nice and friendly. This truly is a local bar. There is memorabilia from the village of Rolling Meadows and Rolling Meadows High School all over the place. I recommend Rep's Place. read more

My friend and I had high hopes after reading about this place online, and unfortunately we agreed there was a bit to be desired. I have driven by the area for so long and never knew they were located in the strip. I guess Rep's was the sponsored post-game place for the local mens hockey league at one point. We came on a Friday night, 7/25/25. It is split in two sides, with one being the dining room and the other being the bar. We sat in the dining area, and it wasn't real busy at all, though the bar seemed to have a small crowd. We were seated quite fast, almost felt rushed. The food came quick also, which I suppose isn't a bad thing but we weren't trying rush through our meal. The wait staff was friendly, though it felt like we were pin balling through waiters everyone other time something came to the table. We tried this pineapple cider and it was really good. Quite refreshing I'd say. ACE is the brand I believe. Cheese Curds - Interesting combo with the jalapeño and garlic. Not super flavorful, but the ranch dip made them tolerable. My buddy wasn't a fan. Pretzel Bites - The flavor was pretty solid. Didn't try them with the beer cheese but they were savory for sure. Tater Tots - Pretty much on par as your average fried potato nugget. Nothing outstanding. Cheese Pizza - An OK pie , not too greasy. I added some oregano which brought out much more flavor, though otherwise I'd say it's mid. Old Western Burger - Buddy said it was good, but it was really big. He had to cut it to make easier to eat. Overall not the worst food, but I think that we were both expecting more. We came back a second time and we found out that the food service ends at 9, which sucks a little because we eat late sometimes. read more

I came here with a group one night and it happened to be trivia night. Let's back up...Rep's Place is located in a strip mall and is unassuming. When you walk in you have the option to walk to the left (the bar area) or to the right (dining area). The two areas are separated by a wall with openings on the left and right side of it. the wall is about 8 feet in height. Our group visited for our Burger Club. We started the meal with a couple appetizers: the pretzel bites and cheese curds. The pretzel bites were really good, the cheese curds were just okay. They were three different cheeses in the curds and it didn't improve the curds versus just one type of cheese curd. Next came the burgers. Everyone actually enjoyed their burgers. Two guys ordered the El Jefe, one got the Patty Melt, two got the Mustang, and I got Reps Burger along with another in our group. He ordered his with onions on a brioche bun and I ordered without onions on a pretzel bun. His burger arrived on a pretzel bun. I hadn't received mine yet. He let the server know that he had the brioche bun, not the pretzel bun. They took it to correct it. They then brought out both our burgers. Both of us thought they tasted a bit off but couldn't quite figure out what. Then it dawned on us. They had put my burger on the brioche and his on the pretzel and only changed the tops of the buns on our burgers. So I had a pretzel bun top and a brioche bottom and he had the opposite. They basically ruined the burgers for us because they were too lazy to swap the entire buns. What's the point of that? I just found a restaurant that has a reputation for good burgers and I won't return because they were too lazy to place our burgers on the correct buns. Was the burger cooked well? Yes. Was the pot roast good? Yes. Was the beer cheese good? Yes. And they all tasted good separate from the two types of buns, but I ordered a handheld sandwich, not a knife and fork entree. The trivia was fun, but was dragged out far too long. I just keep coming back to the fact that they could swap a cheap bun out because they couldn't be bothered and then tried to pass off their laziness and sloppiness as if nothing was wrong. Holy cow! This is not just a bar. This is an atmosphere, a place to feel comfortable, as comfortable as at home. Rebecca (The Mascot) of Rep's with her purple shirt and hair was our server today and the head bartender of the day. She's what really puts a five star review ticket on my shoulders to write. My mate Mike ordered a Moscow Mule, it was tangy limey and awesome tasting. Hats off Rebecca. I got a Long Island iced tea, holy cow is it an instant drunkening. While the large amount of ice may be off putting there's a LOT of alcohol to suck up and enjoy! Though my advisory is that you stir yours when it arrives to your table, despite Rebecca's best shaking skills in the margarita shaker the laws of physics be a harsh mistress, water and alcohol separate easily so any amount of ice, a single cube can make the drink settle as it transits to the table. So give it a stir before enjoying for best flavor! The chili is a bit spicy for my taste buds but I'm sure one could order it mild, I'll try that next time. The atmosphere is very calm quiet and almost homelike. Just with a lot more tables and TV's. It's a weird comparison to make but this feels less like a bar and more like the safety of a psychiatric hospitals dining room, a calm place one can speak openly about literally ANYTHING without being judged. Truly an establishment I can take my hat off and bow to. Rep's really shows what a hometown bar should be. A large enough place for gatherings but a place that feels comfortable enough to be an oversized community rec room that feels like an extension of the community rather than a business. read more

Rep's has been a favorite of mine since their opening. The super friendly staff is attentive and helpful. I have thoroughly enjoyed every meal I have gotten there. One of my favorites is the Double BLT Club! It has a lot, and I mean a lot, of bacon! Their wings and sauces are incredible and the Reuben sandwich is off the charts! For the sports fans there a numerous televisions broadcasting multiple sporting events. Repsfest, held yearly is a great event to listen to great bands, enjoy cold beer and eat delicious food! read more

The bartending staff on Thursdays and Fridays is tremendous! They know our names and remember our favorites! On this particular visit, we were very disappointed with the bartender. She was too busy catering to other patrons at the bar and dancing with customers that she did not serve us our second round of drinks(that we ordered). Seems this place has really changed a lot since last time we were here, really nice, new cozy booths now and service was great! We loved it before...but it has immensely improved! All in all a fun, lively place to go with friends with good food, good service and nice and clean. One of our favorite spots to visit when we are in town! Steve the manager there was very helpful and nice, he kept checking in on our table and making sure everything was good. Pleasant experience and our whole group was very happy. Frankly I went here every weekend. Additionally, I have worked with them in a professional setting. I spent well and tipped well every Saturday. One night after spending over $150 before 11pm I was requested to move my seat after a gentleman walked in and demanded I leave so he could play darts to which I said no, my table is in front of the dart table. I will not uproot my table and my group to cater to you. We have been here since 5pm. Then, a bartender who knows us as regulators demanded we move because they were "losing money on darts." Our $150 bill paid for their darts the whole night. Absolutely abysmal service. I am very saddened by this experience and won't be returning. As a bar who should rely on regulars, not respecting them is just ridiculous. read more

Just tried their new "Loaded Taco Grilled Cheese", which truly is one of the best of both worlds sandwiches I've ever had (think torta...but actually a ground beef American style taco inside and on top of a thick-sliced Texas toast grilled cheese). Yum fricken yummy and just enough pico and sour cream slathered to tame, but also accentuate, the spice/heat level. Instead of fries, it's served with a side of chicken enchilada soup (loaded with meat, two types of beans, corn, as well as Frito's corn-like and Dorito's flavored chip strips). This concept works and it is delicious. As I am a huge fan of Rep's original grilled cheese (see 2021 review below), this is a wonderful addition to their menu. Jones-worthy and know I will be future craving for this sammy that's for sure!! Finished the meal with some Cinnamon roll churros served warm with vanilla ice...oh my awesome...and the seasonal Xmas decor is truly delightful too (along with the great background music). read more

Read all the great Yelp reviews. Friends have chimed in on Facebook about how wonderful this establishment is...unfortunately I never got to experience the awesomeness of this restaurant. After a Rolling Meadows High School Varsity Volleyball event, several of the parents and I picked this establishment to enjoy some post game discussion over food & drinks. We stood by the please wait to be seated sign at the front door for 10 minutes. There were 3 service staff in the area. One was busy serving food, the other 2 were having a conversation. I approached the 2 staff members having a conversation after waiting a few minutes patiently by the front door and asked if we could get a table. They continued to have their conversation never acknowledging my request. After they finished their conversation, one server disappeared and the other went to other tables to refresh their drinks instead of seating us. We ended up walking next door to Wingstop and enjoying a huge pack of wings over there. read more

I took a short drive to see if Tore and Luke's beef stand reopened yet at their new location on Dundee Rd. in Palatine. I knew it wouldn't be open, but had to go check on the progress. Looks like it's not very close to being ready. I sat in my car in the parking lot for 30 minutes pondering where to eat lunch while searching on Yelp. I hate it when that happens. Visions of Shire turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables and gravy popped into my head. Through numerous Yelp and Google searches I came across Reps place in Rolling Meadows, which has been on my radar for awhile. For what I did not see months ago on their menu was this dreamy breaded diced chicken-cheesy-bacon skillet with savory brown gravy over a fluffy cloud of mashed potaters . Wow! It was excellent. I'm a gravy kind of guy. One of my new go to meals. Now home to digest a little and head to the gym I hope. For the chicken was deceived when the man put a loaf of bread in front of it. Being from Oregon, I watch the Ducks football games whenever I can, exercising a bit of hometown pride. There's an Oregon bar in the city but it's a pain in the butt to get to, and I got an email from the UO alumni association saying there would be a suburban watch party for the game here, so we decided to to here and enjoy the game. Interestingly, no one else (including the supposed host) showed up for the watch party, and the restaurant didn't seem to know that one was planned in the first place. Of course I don't blame that in that on the restaurant, and they warmly invited us to stay, which we decided to go ahead and do since we'd driven out to the suburbs and had planned on this being our dinner. Someone who may have been the manager (he seemed to have a particular authority) came by our table and said he'd be happy to put the Oregon game on a few TVs for us, which he did. I appreciated that because my other plan was to try and pull it up on my iPhone. The TVs worked much better and made watching much more pleasant! John Clicka, the night manager, very accommodating, friendly, and offered to set something up for us if we had a group wanting to watch the ducks game. It's not a fancy place by any means: plastic plates, baskets, trays, and that sort of thing. But the food is great and the prices can't be beat. As an appetizer I've had the pickle spears. They're good, and come with a cup of ranch and something else that's got a distinct taste to it... maybe horseradish? I'm not sure. Anyway, I like how they serve them here in spears, instead of coins. We've been here on Fish Friday and, although I don't eat seafood, my friend does and he ordered it. He said it was really good, and that he doesn't eat fish and chips a lot but it was better than he'd expected. He also said if he came again on Friday he'd likely order this again. I took a walk on the wild side and tried the Kickin' PB and B sandwich. I've seen these burgers with peanut butter on menus and haven't been able to bring myself to try it. Maybe it was the jalapeño bacon; maybe it was the jalapeño-mango sauce. But it was really good. I was worried it might be a little too spicy for me; though I like it hot, sometimes stuff can be unexpectedly TOO hot (especially when it's a double dose of spice). But it was in the goldilocks range, and it hit the spot. They have a sangria special on Saturday (pre-pandemic, anyway), so we each ordered a berry sangria. Very good--in fact, probably the best sangria I've had stateside. I usually don't like sangria because it's so dry, but they used in part a moscato wine for their sangria. (They also offer one called a red sangria, which I'd suspect might be more dry.) Well worth the $7! I would have had more, but I was the one driving back to the city. I've also had the Double BLT and even though it's right there in the name, I was pleasantly surprised that they put enough bacon on it! Many places where I've ordered a BLT it's been a couple slices of bacon on the sandwich, barely cooked, so even if you didn't have to call a search party to find the bacon you wouldn't want to eat it. I don't know if it's because I ordered the bacon well done or if it's just the way they serve it, but the bacon was cooked all the way through (which truly seems to be a rarity these days) yet was not burned to a crisp. Perfect. It was a good sandwich. For dessert we've ordered the molten lava cake and it was ok. If there was a miss here at Rep's, it was this dessert. The chocolate flavor wasn't great, and it wasn't really all that molten. I'd probably pass on dessert next time; we wanted to get to half-time, at least, and felt bad just sitting here (even though there were several empty tables by this time). All in all, we enjoyed it and will visit again if we're out in the northwest suburbs. read more

Just dined here for the first time on Friday 8/16! Ordered a late lunch online then ate it inside the restaurant! In brief, I LOVED all the food, service and ambiance of the restaurant (which also is a sports bar with about 16 flat screen TVs in it and 2 Jimmy Garoppolo football jerseys (whom I love), hanging on the walls, so I plan on coming back! What drew me to this place (vs its smaller counterpart/sister restaurant in Palatine called Rep's Burgers) was its HUGE menu and more interesting and bigger variety of selections! For appetizer, I had the Triple Play (tater tots, cheese curds and fried pickles); for entree, I had the Big Stuffed Burger (medium rare, with additions of Pepper Jack Cheese, Jalapeño Bacon and Red Onions) along with fries, a side of corn on the cob and 2 Mountain Dews! The food was abso-bleeping-lutely DELICIOUS!!! What was great about my burger was that the online ordering system allowed me to customize it to make it medium rare, change the bun to multi grain, change the cheese to Pepper Jack, and add jalapeño bacon and red onions to it! Another great thing about the burger was that it was HUGE (I could barely get my hands around it plus it was way bigger than the double burgers I had at Smashburger and Shake Shack and even bigger than the triple bacon cheese burgers I had at Culver's and Wendy's! Best of all, my burger stayed together the whole time I ate it; it didn't crumble into pieces which is what happened when I had a comparably huge burger at Brandt's (whose burgers are still awesome, by the way)! Also, I loved that Rep's had so many great sides to choose from like corn on the cob, cheese curds, and tater tots (which most restaurants don't have)! Last, the service was great: Laura and Colleen took good care of me while I was in the restaurant picking up my order then giving me silverware and napkins so I could dine in! They had my order in a locked cabinet near the entrance plus the boxes containing my food had "Thank you! " written on them, which I loved and made me blush! The restaurant was clean, roomy, dimly-lit and woodsy inside with a ton of TVs to watch and great classic rock playing overhead! Half the place was pretty full as was the outdoor seating section when I dined there between 2:30 and 3:30 this past afternoon! We were seated by the door because there was a large party in the back by the restroom. The manager propped the door open and my party was very cold. I asked the hostess if we could shut the door because we were cold and she complied. Our food arrived and one member of my party's food was not cooked to order as asked. It took 5 to 8 minutes for someone to find our waiter to fix the problem. The manager came back and propped the door open again and I asked the manager if she could close the door. She said "the people back there are hot so that's why the door is open. I could move your table to the bar but the door stays open" then walked away. Went there and had some snacks and dinner with kids. We go al thee time. Paid bill inches $150 for tab of $146 waiitress was terrible. Shortly after leaving I get call from the manager. He says I owe on the bill $16 something about tip. I asked did I not pay for the food he says yes but i didn't leave tip. I Owe them $16. i said what? We went back confused and just gave him some more money we did not owe. As I understand its a new manager and he was rude and non sensible. We gave him $25 more and we will never return the food was terrible also. Now on it's Jimmy's D's down street much better ownership. Better food. We come here all the time several times a month. Ordered Cesar salad and it came out drenched with dressing. More like dressing with salad, There was dressing at the bottom since too much was "tossed" with the salad. I order this dish every so often at reps, as normally I can taste the lettuce. When I mention this: The response? Well it's tossed so what do u expect? Do u want to speak to the manager. Me: "Not salad floating is salad dressing". Obviously this is how Reps makes their new version of Cesar salad. Completely turned off. No offer to retold the salad, Drinking my bear will eat at home. I hope this is not a new trend at reps, as we have for several years enjoyed eating here and the grilled chocked was moist, tasty and well cooked. read more

Even before the expansion, which should be finished in late 2018, there's a lot to like about Rep's Place in its existing spot. In this area of the suburbs, you're commonly faced with the issue of either having lots of drink choices and food as an afterthought, or going to a restaurant that focuses on food but either has very limited drink options or charges a fairly high premium for alcohol. With the proximity to Woodfield Mall, upscale shopping centers, and entertainment -- it's understandable why prices would be high almost anywhere you go. Then there's Rep's place -- probably the perfect compromise between reasonable prices, casual atmosphere, full drink menu, different entertainment options, and good bar food. It has a more casual feel than Fox & Hound, Moretti's, Beerhead, or Miller's Ale house -- and is just as affordable as Neighborhood Inn. This makes it a great place to gather if you have a large party or want to enjoy American favorites with the family. Though prices are affordable, Rep's doesn't compromise on the important things. Decor is sports-friendly (but not overdoing it), tables are clean, food is plated nicely, entrees use fairly nice ingredients, and service is very quick and friendly. Food is a bit better than what you'd expect from the average sports bar. Simple twists on familiar items help to elevate these dishes while prices are lower than most chains and portion sizes are large. In particular, the following items stood out for me; Pretzel bites: Comes out hot and is tasty with the beer cheese sauce. There was a nice contrast between the crust and the meat. Mac&Cheese curds: Mixes two of my favorite things, Mac&Cheese and delicious fried batter. If you order only one appetizer, go for this one. Fried mozzarella: I liked the presentation of this and the wonton added a nice crisp to the dish. But, if you only go for one cheese appetizer, go with the mac&cheese curds. Peanut butter bacon burger: I originally thought this was going to be oddly creamy and oily -- with the bacon lost in the flavor of the patties and peanut butter. Turns out, there's actually good texture contrast between the lightly grilled and buttered buns, firm patties, creamy peanut butter, and crisp bacon. Each component is easily identifiable but work very well when taken in as a single bite. Rep's Grilled Cheese: I love when a restaurant takes something very familiar and elevates it to something fancier and surprising. The addition of tomatoes, bacon, and potatoes to a mix of two cheeses and then serving it with tomato sauce creates a hearty and "comfort food" type of experience. Seasoned fries: Slightly crispy, slightly soft -- This tastes almost meaty and is a perfect companion to any dish. Overall, Rep's place is a great addition to the Rolling Meadows area. The mix of friendly staff with good prices and tasty food really make this a pleasant restaurant to visit. read more

Ok, I'll give it a pretty solid choice for a local spot with good bar food - great job on burgers, tacos and whatever else they have on their menu, except the banana cake alone, it was just okay and a tad strong on baking soda "saltiness" though pairs well with the ice cream. The beer list is a bit short, but I suspect that the new expansion can bring in more options. The quality of food is quite good, service was onpar and the atmosphere is welcoming. We were surprised to see how busy this place is, so once again, kudos Rep on somehow making this boring strip mall a place to come. They have specials each day and the value vs quality is what brings in the crowd. Definitely a good burger, I look forward to the peanut butter burger night. read more

Came here here for bingo night. Big fucking mistake. I came and decided that the music that they were playing sucks, so i fired up the TouchTunes app on my phone because my boys wanted to hear some of our jams. I paid for 3 songs. No sooner do i pay for them, the fucking bingo starts and they turn off the music. They never played my songs that i paid for and i didnt even win anything in bingo.
