    Slaw burger - 2 bites
    Tim S.

Drove by a couple of times .. saw a review on FB. All the pictures looked amazing. 20 wait After a couple of bites .. I couldn't believe it was the same thing that was in the picture. Lies .. propaganda.. slaw burger? More like a sadness burger. The hot dogs? Served cold on a stale bun. Mmmm .. all at a hefty price. I'm not one to write a review but, I have to warn the world ... Disappointed..

Number 3 combo. Asked for the hotter chicken and was charged extra for it, but nothing was spicy and very bland all around.

Just ok, lacking in flavor, basic. Imo, just trying be better than fast food, food. But that's all it is, with higher prices. Counter gentleman was great, I didn't know if I wanted the burger or the hot chicken. He recommended the #3 to try both. Good idea I thought, ordered and I was up charged for the hotter chicken at my request. I did mention it may be too much food for me but he said they aren't too big (might want to find a way to better reword this). Got it to go, was home in 5 min and opened it up. Overall not impressed for $20+ out the door, no drink. Opened it up, in a foam container, (ditch the foam containers aready). Looked fresh but he was right, they were not big. Both the burger and chicken sandwich were fresh and warm, fries looked crispy with some seasoning on them. The burger: just ok, the beef didn't have flavor, I did like the cheese and onions. But it was pretty small and just tasted bland. Really just ok. Not worth the 7.99 ala carte menu price for sure. A Dave's single has more flavor and that's not saying much. Also no smash burger edges on the beef, a must if you want to elevate this type of burger. The chicken sandwich: again kind of small and the piece of chicken was pretty thin and no breading or spice on the chicken visually, just an orangish mayo sauce and Cole slaw. Absolutely zero spice or heat anywhere in this sandwich, I literally paid extra for that specifically. Coleslaw was just like what you get in bulk at GFS or jewel. And this also was very lacking in any flavor. Mayo sauce was like canes, but again completely lacking in flavor or spice or heat. Fries: looked good, portion size was ok at best. Standard crinkle cut with some seasoning over them. These too were just ok, another minute in the fryer would have helped, I would say, not crispy enough and plain. Seasoning helped a little, but imo needed more to have an impact. Conclusion: Will I come back, not likely. Service was great and quick, place was clean. But I go out to eat for the food. I wanted to love it, but it was nowhere worth the cost. It was just ok, that's the ongoing theme here. If you do go, don't waste your time on the chicken sandwich. And you would have to get a double for the burger. But would this make it better? I'm not sure. If you like bland food, this may be just for you. Other people mention the slaw on the burger, mine didn't have any but the chicken did. Not sure if it was supposed to or not.. I just wish the good service matched the food quality and taste, it didn't even come close. The burgers and chicken sandwiches at Wendy's and Culver's are better and have much better quality meat and flavors (what's that saying?) Big swing and a miss for Palatine Slaw burger for me.

Went there this afternoon and the location is not that impressive but the service and food definitely make up for it!! My son just wanted ketchup instead of the "slaw" sauce and they had no issues substituting!! Fries could have been a bit crispier but the seasoning was really good!!

Solid smash burgers & a super friendly staff! Check them out! We did the number 4 so you can try 2 sandwiches, fries and a tender!

Double burger with slaw sauce and jalapeños

This entire strip mall of restaurants is incredible. What a hidden gem! Both my toddlers devoured their cheese burger with slaw sauce. The staff was beyond friendly, and it was so clean. Few tables inside and one outside. We sat and ate with our two kids and enjoyed ourselves. Very family friendly! We will definitely be back!

Burgers never disappoint, grilled onions and sauce are amazing. Fries are always well seasoned. The banana pudding is delicious.

Best burgers in the area. Lucky burger and Rep's are good, but I think this has them beat. Glad they have an excellent Beyond Burger option

I was really disappointed with my experience. I ordered a chicken sandwich and the chicken was so hard I literally couldn't eat it.

The entry sign indicating that no outside beverages were allowed, gave me a bit of an unwelcome feeling as I had my water bottle with me from my hike over. Anyway, I asked if I could order a single patty instead of the double as depicted on the menu, because I don't regularly eat large amounts of meat at a time. But alas, that size is age restricted for children only. Liking crunchy veggies on my burger is also to my taste, and I found each of those came at an additional charge. Now the burger itself self is priced as a top shelf product, more so than other casual burger joints. However, I came to try the new smash burger and ordered as recommended... 2 burgers, cheese and pickle. Well, I admit it was rather delicious as is. The burgers are thin and delicately juicy and the cheese and pickle complimented the sandwich in an admiral way. I think it was one of the more unique and better burgers than I've had. Haven't been back yet after about 1 month because of all the competing prices on other sandwiches and burgers that are not bad in the area. I really hope that Rep's gets it together to keep customers loyal by, 1.) Adding toppings at no extra charge, 2.) Bulking up menu choices for parties that have diverse palates, and 3.) Offering specials to entice more frequent returns from customers. But if not, I will still have a day when my belly will remind me to return for the special flavor of the yummy burger at Rep's. 4 stars is in hoping the establishment will find the way to keep business thriving!

I was scrolling through Uber Eats and I've seen this restaurant come up as a suggestion several times. Well being that I didn't want anything from the usual fast food options, I decided to give them a chance today. I am overjoyed that I did! The burgers were absolutely delicious & the fries were both crispy and fluffy, with just the right amount of seasoning on them! Nothing is worse than an overseasoned fry. Okay well some things are but you get my point. I did two separate build your own burgers. One for my mom who likes the rabbit food on her burgers, and one for me who wants meat cheese and all the deliciousness! She absolutely devoured hers and loved it and mine was absolutely fantastic. Pure deliciousness! I'm already ready to order from here again tomorrow! The food was fast, fresh, and hot so as far as I'm concerned the service if we went here would be fantastic too! I can't speak to the Ambiance yet because we've only had it delivered but based off the food I would say it's got to be very clean and orderly. I will definitely be getting the burger with the egg on it next time! They are competitively priced as well, especially given that your fries or chosen side are included in the price! Definitely give this place a try if you're near one of their locations I promise you won't be disappointed!

And Baker's Square closed YEARS ago in SoCal. Missed their pies and baked goods! So imagine my (pleasant) surprise when I found this little place in Palatine! I decided to head there for a brekky on a cool May morning. Stepped in, saw all the breads, pastries, and pies along the front counters- wow. I was greeted warmly and seated instantly. My waitress came right away, and I ordered unleaded (decaf for those in the know). It came in a little pot, ala IHOP, and was really, really GOOD. Wow. Decaf has come a long ways from the Sanka days! I ordered the INN-CREDIBLE V.I.B. which allowed me to order 4 yummy items of my choice - I chose the french toast (yummy and spiced just right albeit w/room temp syrup- not a deal-breaker but notable), a strawberry crepe (totally awesome strawberries, but the crepe was a bit colder than expected); scrambled eggs (always a nice stalwart) and two turkey sausage links (as with the frenchie above, nicely flavored!). The ambience was modern, updated, and felt welcoming and (thankfully) a bit familiar. Brought back some good ol' memories even if only the Baker's Square part of the menu was just pies nowadays. But the Village Inn lives on! And that counts - and I'll return. You should check it out too if you enjoy a good brekky at a classic American diner!

Overall it is cheerful and comfortable but the air conditioning was cranked up a little too much making me want to leave as soon as possible. The service was friendly and attentive although we were seated next to the kitchen so we overheard many of the staff's comments as they were going in and out of the kitchen. One of the waitstaff was clearly counting down the three hours left on his shift. The food was okay. While reviewing the menu you'll like notice the low prices. While that was nice to see you do get what you pay for. For 13 dollars and change I got the VIB breakfast where you pick four items from a few different categories. I chose scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, bacon and half a waffle. The portions were small and most of the food likely only needed to be reheated to be served. We are glad we gave Village Inn a try but will likely opt for a different place next time.
