It's right next to the train station, and the menu is very straightforward but everything is more sophisticated than your average deli or coffee place. Has a good breakfast and lunch menu. Always a great place to grab lunch, since I work downtown. Fair warning-- it usually is pretty busy around the lunch hour but that is only because it is so good. I am a huge fan of their pot pies and if I'm stopping for breakfast one of the best things they have are the little quiche strips. This is one of my favorite spots in downtown Springfield! There is a lot to choose from. One of my favorites on a crisp fall day is to have their chicken pot pie. It is to die for. It comes with one of their cookies and a drink as well. I've had the Mac and cheese and a variety of sandwiches over the years too. They are all good as well! read more

While visiting Springfield, I was looking for a healthier breakfast. Their $5.00 oatmeal was perfect. I added dried apricots, craisins, raisins and pecans. (Brown sugar is an additional option.) This cafe was delicious! My friends and I stopped here on the way to Chicago and it was a perfect, quick lunch. I got the Say Cheese sandwich, chips, cookie, & drink combo. I was a fan. Out of town visitor here, and it was exactly what I was looking for when I went to get lunch. The place itself was nice. The menu had variety for not being huge! I got the combo lunch: so soup and half a sandwich. It reminded me of a local version of Panera Bread. The chicken noodle soup had house made noodles; they were delicious. It might sound weird but the soup was a little heavy on the chicken chunks; I also had to flavor it quite a bit with salt and pepper. The Ken, the sandwich I had, was great. My friend had the tuna sandwich and tomato basil soup. She said that a lot of people like tuna sandwiches to be a little more bland. She was hoping for more flavor; it didn't have that so while she was a little disappointed, she said it was still good! We also got cookies with our combo lunches (great touch); they were our favorite part of the meal! Very tasty. Overall good experience and I would go again. read more

Went there for lunch got the pick 3. The gobble gobble, lobster bisque and snicker doodle cookie. Husband had the pesto caprese, lobster bisque and oatmeal cranberry cookie. The sandwiches were delicious. The soup had to much corn and it was crab and not hot but not terrible,lol. Snicker doodle cookie was ok, oatmeal cranberry was yummy. The coffee was great, especially since it was bottomless cup. The food was very good. Had the special soup which was not my favorite but was very creative. Had the pulled pork sandwich special which was very good, although the highlight of the meal was the cookie. Would not suggest for a business lynch as it gets crowded, loud and doesn't have a lot of privacy. If you are looking for a quick bite, don't go during main lunch hours as it gets packed. Cafe Moxo is one of my favorite casual downtown restaraunts. They have gourmet coffees, baked sweets, the best cookies, soups of the day, and a variety of sandwiches. During colder temperatures, their chicken pot pie could not hit the spot more. Do note that they have two types of chicken salad, one that is traditional and one with curry. I ordered the curry the first go, not knowing this, and not reading the description. The Tara Chicken, which is more traditional, is my favorite. They also have breakfast casseroles, wonderful oatmeal, and biscuits and gravy Saturdays. The staff is consistently friendly. In all, this is a wonderful place to gather, especially on a Saturday Farmer's Market morning. read more

This Cafe is one of my favorites in town, from customer service to the menu, it is a wonderful place to eat and meet friends for a bite to eat! I've never had a problem here, if there's something you don't like they will try to accommodate you. It can be a bit loud sometimes however it is still a nice establishment. Moxo is one of the best places for lunch in downtown Springfield. Not only is it quick but they have so many different options for lunch. They also have some very creative custom cupcakes which are fun and delicious. I have had a few things that I wasn't to found of but on the whole the food is good and the prices for lunch are fair. read more

The sandwiches are good here and I like that it seems fresh. I love the decor here, it feels modern and with the times, but at the same time it lacks character because of this. Our team goes here about every other week simply because we usually forget about it and its a bit out of the way. I love the cupcake ideas here, but unfortunately there aren't any vegan options and being prediabetic it's just not my thing. I highly recommend for out of towners, the staff is real friendly, I'm sure they got some kinda equity, but sometime that's a great thing. Plus, I'm not a big fan of paying for food and, then, sitting down and them bringing you the food. It seems confused. First, you're rushed to make a decision because you don't want to hold up the line and I don't know about you, but my eyesight hinders that process from going quickly. Then, you pay and there's a tip line, but you haven't received your service, yet, so how do you know how much too tip? Then, you sit and wait with your little number and the more you wait the more you wonder why you tipped so much. read more

Very friendly, happy staff. I've been to Cafe Moxo multiple times and I've never had bad service, even when the line to order is backed up to the door. The food is great. The chicken noodle soup is honestly the best chicken noodle soup I've ever eaten. When my significant other's grandmother was hospitalized I brought her some of the chicken and noodle soup. She's owned and operated a steak and seafood house for years, so she's a tough critic and she thought it was really good. I love the Gobble Gobble sandwich, it's so unique. And I could eat their pasta salad all day. It's a little expensive for what it is, but the options are relatively healthy and tasty. read more

This is a cute place. We arrived here early on Saturday morning to find the place packed. But they have a really efficient operation going, and the service was quick and friendly. Their baked egg dishes are really good-I enjoyed their egg with rosemary and roasted potato. It had an almost cake like consistency, which I learned was due to heavy cream and whole grains. If you are in the area come here and eat for some good food, a pleasant feel, and a decent menu offering tasty sandwiches. I bought the "Hummus Among us" wrap and it packed a punch. My kids had chocolate cookies and shared with me and I thought they were really good. They sell cupcakes and other desserts. No one left hungry.
