Must be newly opened or a soft opening (May 5, 2024). This seems like a cool space! Hopefully they start advertising and correct their hours. They don't seem to be posted correctly, as it's currently 2:30pm and there's still live music going, that, according to Illinois Times, goes til 4pm. (Signs posted on banners and the Yelp hours say it closes at 2 everyday - though I've previously been here at night - and the worker inside just told me they're open til 8pm.) The food seems pretty decent with a variety of options. Tacos in one stand, BBQ (pricey but smells great) in the next, and a sort of Asian/Ramen/Bao stand on the end. This place has some real good hang potential once people know it's open (the website still says "coming Spring 2024" instead of currently open. Come on out Springfield. Support local. And local businesses, the tiniest bit of advertising goes a long way - updated hours and websites. Hope maybe this post helps get the word out. Springfield, photograph your visits to businesses to help out. PS the ice cream and coffee inside is excellent!

Small coffee shop, serves roasted coffee, which is delicious, best coffee that my boyfriend has had. Beans come from Elm City Roastery. I had a small maple latte. No skim milk, ordered with Almond milk. We had a homemade red velvet cookie. All cookies and scones are homemade. Also serve homemade ice cream. No breakfast meals, but lunch serves sandwiches and soups. $$

Caffeine customized to your liking…read more On a day when I had to drop my car off at the tire shop for new tires, Emily and I took that as an invitation to go out of town for an afternoon. We headed out to Springfield since neither of us had been down there for awhile. First stop was... Custom Cup Coffee to get us caffeinated for an afternoon of shenanigans. We dropped in to a cozy little coffeehouse. This place had been on my list for awhile and on the way down, I gave Em a list of local coffee places we can try and this is the one that she picked and what a great choice it was. I got my usual Americano and Emily got the Beekeeper. Along with my love of coffee, I do love stickers and grabbed a giant one for $4 and the barista hooked us up with some free little ones. Score! They do have a small food menu, too, if you come here and need something to compliment your caffeinated drink. I usually look around and snap a few photos while waiting but I barely got turned around before my drink was being called out. That's the fastest I've ever gotten an Americano. Emily's drink was not far behind. Granted we had no one in front of us when we ordered, it was Jimmy Johns level of freaky fast. We were going to sit outside but they were putting up their outside furniture for some reason so we took a seat inside. This Americano was spot-on for what I crave when I want one. Not only was it tasty but for being 20oz, it somehow lasted me until we walked over to Buzz Bomb Brewing Co. and I started drinking a beer. Emily was in love with her latte and let me have a little sip and wow... it was delicious. It was no surprise that she finished her drink in half the time it took me to finish mine. All in all, Custom Cup Coffee had super friendly baristas, a quaint and cozy interior with a little bit of seating and super delicious coffee.
