I try to be very understanding, but to advertise "freaky fast" but take 35 minutes to deliver an order is outrageous. I ordered my food at 11:25am, went out for delivery at 11:30am.... and I didn't receive it until 12:05pm. This has happened many times. It's very upsetting. read more

I was a regular. But recently I bought a sandwich and walked back to work. When I opened my sandwich the was a black curly hair in the middle. I walked back and told them about it. Instead of taking me seriously, they laughed it off. They did make me a new one. I am pretty sure that it was the guy with a full beard behind the counter. Why don't they wear beard nets? HUGE thanks goes out to this downtown Jimmy John's!!! I work at a local hospital and we were extremely busy and short staffed today! It was about 1:00pm, not one of us had time for any breakfast or lunch, so we were all starving on top of being so busy we could not think straight! Then out of nowhere, Jimmy John's brought us a platter of assorted sandwiches, for "free"! We were in awe! It was like they knew how busy it was. I called them and asked if they were the store that sent them, they said, "yes" and I proceeded to tell him how much we ALL appreciated their gesture and how crazy busy we were and it was much needed! He said, "well I have 2 more trays that I was going to send out, would you all eat them" I said, "of course!" They will never know how much this meant to us! read more

This Jimmy John's location is seriously lacking attention to detail. Busy I understand, but lying and doubling-down on mistakes is not acceptable. Last week, I ordered and it took a while. When I called 45 minutes after ordering, the person in the phone told me that my order was out for delivery. He managed to do this without asking my name or phone number. 15 minutes later I got an alert that my food was out for delivery. Today the alert came, I waited about 15 minutes and went to check the door. We have a guard there, so if the delivery person came to the door, she would know. I stepped back into the office for a minute, and when I came back out, there was a JJ's delivery car out front...who then drove off. I figured the driver must have had a delivery for someone in another building. So I waited another ten minutes or so then called the store. The guy who answered said that he tried calling (didn't leave a voice mail), and that he left my order outside my door. He didn't, I had already been there. He then told me the address 525 West Jefferson - the wrong address. I'm at 535 West Jefferson. He delivered it to the building next door. While I still had him on the phone, I walked next door (in the rain), and sure enough there was my order sitting right next to the door. Right under the sign that said deliveries should go to 535. He still insisted that the ticket, which I now had in hand, said 525 (it did not). I get being busy. I've spent too many hours in the weeds at restaurants to not respect that pressure . But lying to me, doubling-down on mistakes, lack of attention to detail, those are not hallmarks of a good business. Two stars, because they got the order right, including adding the napkins (for once). read more

I used to order from this JJ's regularly, about once a week. I stopped because of the same type of experience as I had today. Unfortunately for me, today I forgot my lunch and made the stupid mistake of ordering JJ's, thinking maybe in the 18 months since my last order, they would have improved. It took my sandwich 35 minutes to travel 3 blocks. And when I received it, there were almost no toppings on it. Turkey and mayo, yes. The rest of the ordered toppings: lettuce, cucumber, tomato, etc? Maybe 2 tiny slices of each, on an 8 inch sub. There was no mustard, which I ordered. The delivery driver was super apologetic, saying the store just can't get their act together on Mondays. It's not just Monday. It's every day of the week. It takes so long, you are actually on the phone with the store cancelling the order when the delivery guy shows up, and what you get wasn't worth waiting for 5 minutes, let alone 30+ read more

Service was average, food was as expected. Downtown and parking can be challenging. Best if you have business to do downtown and want something quick within walking distance of your main priority. Tried this location for the first time yesterday 4/27/20 and it was dry, not enough mayo, then there I found a long Caucasian hair in my sandwich. I left instructions in two places for the delivery guy to leave it at the door but he knocked and stood there until I came to get it. Order if you want a side of COVID. read more

I ordered today thru the app and wrote a long note at the bottom that I have Celiac disease and they have to change their gloves and not touch bread while handling my food. Apparently the app auto filled to french bread when I didn't see the unwich option and I got a regular sandwich. This is where it's awful, when I called for a new sandwich, they said they don't look at the notes in the order so despite the *** signifying an autoimmune disorder, they didn't read it! They brought me a new unwich sandwich and I can guarantee by the rage in my insides right now, they didn't change their gloves. Thanks for not taking a significant disease seriously.
