One of my favorite places when I'm back in town . Met my parents at Ritz's for lunch. Food was yum. Service was good. The problem (& this is a BIG problem for me) was a cook in the back yelling at us multiple times that it was time for us to go/leave. Stood at the window shouting this & walked around in the kitchen yelling "time for you to go...you need to leave!!!" We actually checked out 5 minutes after closing so this started right at closing time. My parents are elderly & we were trying to leave quickly. I was also appalled that the other workers stood around & said nothing to this individual. No one tried to shut this person down or even apologize for his behavior. I was later told this was the owners son whom is a cook. That would also explain why no one intervened. Felt badly for my parents to witness this. This individual needs to do better & hope no one else has to tolerate this kind of behavior. read more

Ambiance? Not much. The space is pretty bare bones, except, oddly, a huge LED scrolling message sign right in the center of the back wall. Food and service however, were top notch, our waitress was very personable and prompt, and gave us recommendations. I ended up with a veggie omelette, with bacon and a biscuit. Ok so we flew in to fix an airplane, asked the lady at the airport where to eat. She recommended ritz. When we pulled in it smelled like deep fried love in the parking lot!! You know the smell Sat down to a busy dinning room. Menu was simple and great prices. I asked the waitress to bring me her favorite thing on the menu. I didn't feel like fish or shrimp and dislike mushrooms unless they are in a sauce. Appsolultly anything else was good. She started to tell me what she liked, I stopped her and said just put it in front of me when it's done. I love good surprises. I got the biggest plate of yummy I've had in a while. It was a buffalo horseshoe. I have no idea what that means but it was toast open face with fried chicken breast pounded thin and breaded, covered in I think buffalo cheese sauce with so many fries on top they were falling off. I ate a little more than 1/2. I should have stopped at 1/2 cause I was so full. I bought lunch for my help. It was less than 30$ for two sodas and way more than we could eat. read more

Cute, home cooking style in a family style diner. This place is tiny, but packs some awesome flavor! We went there with a table of 7 and had no issues getting a table. I was really impressed with the "Pony Shoe" dish (comparable to a poutine for those of us from the northern part of the state!) the rest of the table indulged in biscuits and gravy, French toast and an omelette of some variation. We were just passing through on a trip from Madison Wisconsin to Branson, pick this place because of it's rating. The food was fantastic, the portions were were large, wait staff was exceptionally friendly and the whole atmosphere was a very delightful hometown diner. OMG what a wonderful place to eat. Best value ever, more food than you can eat at half the price of everyone else. I had a horse shoe which is eggs sausage toast, covered in gravy and hash browns 7.50 as of 8-2-15. I am attaching a picture but there is no way to explain the glory which lies beneath the mountain of hash browns. Sausage patties the size of hamburgers, eggs perfectly cooked covered it white gravy made by a master chief. Wife had an omelette perfectly prepared with ham and cheese 4.75 with toast. She added hash browns, a waste because I could not eat half of my hash browns. This place is a clean, well run slice of Americana. millennials twits who love duck tongue confit and worry about the treatment of cows should drive by, and pay a fortune for exotic food marketed by twit bankers. read more

Stumbled upon this place on a Sunday morning. Be aware, it's seat yourself and at 11 am, all seats are usually full. So you get to stand in the doorway, looking at all the patrons, looking right back at you. (Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars). Didn't take to long for a couple of tables to open up....thank God! Our waitress was awesome!! Very helpful and attentive!!! Kids had burgers and whatnot and loved it. I ended up getting the tenderloin horseshoe (her suggestion) and OMG was it good!!!! Easily enough food to feed 2 people!! Take toast , then add meat(Ham works well here) top that with eggs any style then pile some hashbrowns on top of that and what do have??A delicious mess?!?But wait theres more! On top of those hash browns they pile sausage gravy my friend and thats a fine way to start any day. Lunch is solid all the way around , you cant go wrong. I've had half the menu and never been disappointed. Just decent diner food at a great price and the service is spot on. sometimes the food comes out so fast it catches you off guard. I thought this would be a great hole-in-the-wall and with the reviews took a chance. I can only speak for what I had. Biscuits and gravy with eggs and bacon. The eggs (sunny side up) were so undercooked that the egg white was still runny. The bacon was also lifeless and undercooked. The food was flavorless. My goodness how do you make gravy that has no taste?! I never add salt and pepper to my food, but even caking it on this still left it bland as flour. The coffee cup was dirty. It looked like eye shadow was smeared on. The prices are very good, but I have to say even with low prices they are charging too much. Read my other reviews. It takes a lot to not earn a good rating from me. I'm kind of disgusted that I ate any of it because I'll probably be sick later. read more

LOVE the breakfast here! They always get my eggs perfect. I like scrambled eggs that are not burned or scorched and that is super hard to find in this area! I've tried ordering them soft scrambled and telling the server "No brown stuff on my eggs, please", but that doesn't always work. Ritz's Lil Fryer always gets them right. The bacon is crispy and tasty. For potatoes, there's a choice of hash browns or tater tots. Whichever you choose, you get a bunch! It's a real vintage diner sort of place! read more

Great place to eat. Prices are so amazingly low for the food quality. First time here try a horseshoe. If you don't know what a horseshoe is the locals will tell you. First Review Ever I've Done: I've been going here since I was a child. Great atmosphere and amazing food.
