Went looking for an independent coffee place in Phoenix and ended up here! I was looking for warm, so I got a salted caramel coconut latte. It was good but a bit too sweet for my taste. I also got an almond croissant. They use Cartel coffee so points for them. The highlight was really this singular comfy nest. I was looking to sit and read a spell and it was perfect. My favorite place for Vietnamese coffee. It doesn't just look cute, it tastes great. I wished it was closer to where I was. I love the layout and the atmosphere of the place. I ventured there for the first time this past Sunday. I tried out the Matcha taro latte and the cafe mollie special banh mi. The ambience was very welcoming and the staff were pleasant. I would say for the matcha taro late, the drink was pretty grainy and the boba has some need for improvement (strangely shaped and not as qq). The banh mi sandwich...the bread was good and soft but the filling was very minimal. Would recommend at least adding in more meat/filling. I was very displeased with the customer service this morning. I think the service is typically good but not this morning. When I asked the cashier if they had a mochi donuts in, another worker older with short white/grey hair listening made a sarcastic comment to me saying "they don't wake up at 4am to make them for us." I went on a busy Sunday so the line was out the door multiple times and the noise level was high but it did not deter from the work I had to do. Great study ambiance! The staff were so friendly and helpful when ordering. I tried the strawberry matcha latte and it was amazing! Omg the Vietnamese Egg Coffee and the Banh Mi Burrito definitely stole my heart! It's so hard to find good Vietnamese egg coffee in Arizona.:.so glad this place has it. Reminds me of Little Hanoi in Vietnam. Their Banh Mi Burrito is so flavorful--I highly recommend. The only bad thing is the line was very long. Not sure if it's because it's a Sunday and everyone needs their viet coffee fix or something. It was so packed me and my friend hung out in the nice patio they had outside instead. Cafe Mollie offers a variety of beverages with a focus in Vietnamese coffee and food. I got a February special item, the strawberry chai. The strawberry cold foam on top was really phenomenal and very strawberry-y and the chai was more muted; I prefer a spicer chai personally. I also got the strawberry matcha and similarly the strawberry was very vibrant while the matcha was on the bitter side. I got a dirty chai with vanilla. Is was actually not bad. It was my first time going here so I was asking a few questions to the girl at the cashier. She said it was her first day so I asked her how it was going and she said good. She was really nice. As I was asking about their chai, another employee started to interrupt her. I am not sure if they were having a bad day or if they thought I was asking too many questions. But as a coffee shop you should know people have questions about the drinks. I was rude or anything. I genuinely came in excited to try a new coffee shop. I know it's hard working at a coffee shop. Everyone is so picky sometimes. But I genuinely walked in after having such a great morning. Before lunch, my friend and I wanted to get some drinks to start our day. We decided to hop over here, mainly for the aesthetics of the place. The pictures were not deceiving--the place was really cute! My friend initially wanted to order the cold brew (I think), but they were sold out. So she ended up ordering the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. They only had the smallest size available for the Vietnamese coffee, but the workers were able to accommodate and sell my friend a medium (at an extra cost). For me, I never heard of the lotus energy drink before, so I asked for their recommendation, which is how I ended up ordering the Palm Beach. Vietnamese Iced Coffee: my friend and I are both Vietnamese, and she said this was probably the best Vietnamese coffee she's ever had, sooo strongly recommend. Palm Beach (lotus energy): I personally hate fizzy water and the drink basically tasted like flavored fizzy water. However, after mixing it and letting it sit, the drink kind of grew on me? I don't know, something about it was just good lol. Random, but we both didn't finish our drinks. After being out for 10+ hours with our drinks also sitting in the hot car, we placed them into our Airbnb's fridge just in case we wanted a sip in the morning and because we were also lazy to throw it out. I love their coffee HOWEVER when I am asked "what are you going to order because we close the coffee machine down at 445pm" it is SUPER disappointing. The "policies" lately keep changing. If you're a coffee shop and you're going to close the coffee machine down 15 minutes before closing time, that should be posted somewhere especially if the week before I was told on the phone when I tried to make a phone order that as long as I was there by 4:59pm they'd be happy to make my drink. And with that, I called to make an order to be respectful as to not walk in at the last minute (because the week before I witnessed someone picking up a phone order) and was told we don't take phone orders. This combined with their shortened hours from 6pm to now closing at 5pm is making me lose faith in this coffee shop. Their coffee is just sooo good though. read more

I stopped by this cute cafe this morning to check out somewhere new. There is an inviting courtyard outside and there are lots of plants inside. I don't normally order a pastry with my coffee, but the pastries looked pretty interesting also. The cappuccino was very good and I appreciated the latte art, but I got an everything bagel bun, which was kind of disappointing because it was dry inside. One of the best tasting and most balanced lattes I've found! I like enough ice in my iced latte so that the drink isn't warm at the bottom or overly milky, and the ratios here are perfect! I usually have to ask for extra ice at most places and I'll still only receive like 4 ice cubes floating at the top lolol. Will definitely come back! First, I wanted to say that the cashiers here are super sweet and friendly, which I appreciate! The inside decor is also very cute and makes a great study spot if you want to grab some coffee and use the wifi here. However, I would not recommend the boba here. I'm pretty sure it's made with a powdered mix, as I've been to a shop that uses the exact same powder! As a result, the drink has an artificially sweet taste, and the boba isn't coated in any sugar syrup, which makes it tasteless/watery. You're also unable to adjust the ice/sugar, which is an option that I like at boba shops. I also got a chocolate chip coffee cake, which I actually quite liked! It was not too sweet and there was a nice distribution of chocolate chips inside. The only thing that I found frustrating was that I asked the owner if there were any nuts in the food and he gave a rather unsatisfactory response. He looked up from his phone, just shrugged and said, "It's made in a factory so I assume so," and then went back to texting. I'd expect the owner to at least be aware of any allergens in the food, made in-house or not.... After trying a bite, I found out that there were, in fact, no nuts inside. I would come back to try the coffee/matcha drinks and more of the pastries. Y'all should stay away from the boba though. read more

Such a cute place! Was interested hearing about this place a few weeks ago and was excited to try. They have a bunch of unique drinks, I got a salted plum sparking drink. The barista (or owner? Not sure!) told me she would made me another drink if I didn't like it. It was definitely unique! Don't think I would order it again but i am clad I tried it, I think I'll get a tea next time. This is a new Cafe that looked interesting; so I walked in to check it out. I was gradually hit with a very stuffy air feeling and a very bad, stale odor. I waited several minutes for a staffperson who didn't greet me when she showed up or offer assistance. I don't smell odors well; so it must smell really bad. Was looking for authentic salted coffee and I have found it! It's all I have had there- but their teas and other coffees look wonderful as well. Only comment is the salted cream foam taste consistency- varies a bit by who makes it. Sometimes actually needs a little more salt ( I think) ! Excellent coffee shop! read more

Happened to be working in the office on their soft opening day, so I came over to give them a try. As it was their soft opening, they were still working on some decor and equipment inside and the workers were still in the middle of learning/understanding the menu and ordering flow. Came with a friend and we ordered a couple of things. Soft opening meant they didn't quite have everything yet but I still enjoyed my calamansi sparkling drink. It was effectively a sprite-like drink but with a bit of the distinctive taste of calamansi. I did enjoy it but felt that the flavor could have been punched up a bit. Since they're really close to my office, I'll probably come back to try some other drinks. The aesthetic is more like a coffee shop but they have teas and other drinks for non-coffee drinkers (like me). The menu boards indicated they might have pastries at some point, and I've seen online postings about bubble waffles and potentially other food items. Inside is very IG-friendly and I've already seen a few friends post their pictures from their visit. Shop is tucked away in a small business park-ish area and the door is nondescript with their QR code on the front. Lots of parking available and it's located near a lot of restaurants across the street or just a short walk down. read more

Visiting Cafe Mollie was unexpected. We were eating Mediterranean across the street at George's Kitchen when my sister spied a boba sign out the window - we immediately Googled "boba near me" and lo and behold, there was Cafe Mollie. We finished our dinner (writing that review next!) & walked across 16th street w/o being hit by a car to the cafe. What a cute little collection of shops. I got the impression the entire complex was relatively new. There was a surprisingly spacious parking lot, with the cafe tucked away in the corner. Store was impeccably clean, ample lighting, plants, comfortable seating, and a stand up bar area, too. There boba selection was not huge but considering it was a relatively small store, I feel it was a generous selection ... and they had pastries! Hello! The gal behind the counter was extremely polite, happy, and smiling the entire time she took our order. I was so very happy when the pastry was placed into a small paper bag vs a plastic container. Now, if only the boba cups came in something besides plastic -- and I wish there were alternatives for the plastic boba straws. I actually have steel straws on me so was able to pass on the plastic straw. I think every boba place should offer reusable glass jars. Then offer a small discount when you bring it back for a refill. Anyhoo, the drinks & lavender blueberry pastry were very good. I would definitely like to return to Cafe Mollie so I could sample more pastries, and try more of their drinks. read more
