The restaurant smelled good when I walked in and was busy. I came here because of the good reviews on Yelp. Staff was really nice, but the food I ordered was sadly the worst I have ever had. Greek fries were so, so and nothing special. I honestly could not eat more than two bites of the falafel wrap or the hummus. Falafel was extremely over salted with a fishy flavor. The pickles were flavorless, crunchy nothings. The tahini dressing flavor was bitter and very thick. The hummus was awful and had zero flavor. The only thing good was my fountain drink. My wife and I used to love this place. It was our favorite date spot. Over the last couple of years their quality has declined tremendously and prices have increased - so so disappointing! I ordered gyro wraps with double meat - what we got was not what we paid for - there was very little extra meat and very very few onions. For what we paid I will not go back there. Came here for the first time and will not be back while I was sitting down waiting for my food i was watching the cook making the food I noticed he was eating French fries and then touching the pitas that were on the grill with his hands then he was looking at his cell phone then went back to handling the food he wasn't wearing any type of gloves either then he started touching his face scratching his forehead with his fingers then started cooking and flipping the pitas again it made me disgusted and not want to eat the food I don't want forehead grease and skin flakes in my food as seasoning so I asked for a refund. First of all. Nice looking place. However we were discriminated. Two big families that arrived 10 minutes after my sister and I, got their food before we did. We had to go orders. I just don't understand how 12 people get their food before 2 women that arrived and ordered 10 minutes prior. The cashier, busser with curly hair pretty girl was very nice. She needs a raise. Wow, unbelievably remarkable food. Its definitely amazing. I got a traditional gyro with a greek salad. The salad was light and refreshing. As for the gyro the meat was perfectly seasoned each bite made me want ore and more. I also had a great baklava was great in taste. The staff were friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Cafe Mix is a small Greek/Mediterranean restaurant in a retail strip at Greenfield and McKellips. The exterior is as you would expect. The interior was clean, with several tables and two televisions with local sports on. Running late from work, I stopped in for some take out. It was 815, and they closed at 830. The owner was at the order counter and welcomed me, not at all bothered by the last minute order. She was kind and friendly, chatting with me as I waited for my food. I had a veggie pita and spanakopita. The pita was ok, but not my favorite. Lots of lettuce and a runny tzatziki that made it sloppy to eat. The little spanakopita triangles were tasty and fresh. You could tell that they were homemade, and the puff pastry was delightfully flavored and crunchy. My husband had the lamb kabob plate. He ate the whole thing but said it was "ok". So, I don't really know the verdict! We finished with a baklava. Again, the pastry was crunchy, yet also soft where it needed to be. The honey and nuts we're perfectly layered, and it was not runny, nor sloppy to eat. I would probably try other items on the menu next time, but I will eat at Cafe Mix again. read more

Must have changed hands (Again) low stars is due to the fact that NO ONE was wearing a mask, or even tried. Not the cooks, not the phone people (one was, but it did not cover her face), not the dude wandering around not knowing what to do. All the workers were not wearing any safety gear. They were also not wiping down anything, not even point of sale equipment. NO ONE, not even the cooks were wearing gloves. I know our idiot governor says it's not required, but out of an abundance of caution for their customers who are still very concerned, you would think they can hang on a little longer. As of this post COVID is still not controlled enough to relax to this extent. The food was ok, even though it looked like some one dropped it. The humus was gritty and thick. I'll be back when it looks like they care a little more. That may be a long time. Good luck. I'll go elsewhere until then. Be safe out there for a little while longer. I stopped at Cafe Mix for lunch. For a newer pad site restaurant I was somewhat impressed with the warm atmosphere. I ordered a Gyro special which came with choice of side. I went with the Greek salad which was pretty good...fresh, crisp lettuce, nice dressing and authentic kalamata olives. The Gyro itself was good, plenty of meat, tzatziki dressing, lettuce and tomato. The service here was prompt and efficient if not overly friendly. If you're in the McKellips & Greenfield area there are not alot of food choices and I would say this is probably one of the better ones. read more

This has been my goto place for Gyros since I've lived in the area, about 7 years as of writing this review. The gyros I think are really good and I give 4.5 stars for the food. Lately the service has changed tho, when we started dinning there they would seat you and have menus for you to order from. Now when you get there you order up front then sit down and they bring you your food. Still not that bad of a thing that warrants the 2 stars. The guy that took our order was nice. The reason for the 2 stars is because of grilled onions. Yep, grilled onions. I asked for grilled onions when I ordered and the guy taking our order said ok. He was just going to ask the cook to make the onions grilled. When he did a lady jumped in and said "oh we charge for grilled onions". Seriously. The guy said well he already paid and wanted to just give it to me. The lady was persistent on charging me for the grilled onions. I had no problem paying for them but she should have backed off, educated the guy taking my order and given me the damn grilled onions. She is the reason for the 2 stars!!! read more
