1 thing here we keep going back for: 1. Chicken Greek salad-- soooo good, delicious chicken, fresh lettuce, onions, feta, peperoncinos, tomatoes, (and olives if you like that). Comes with a side of warm pita and it's so good. The French fries are also extremely tasty. If you're a fan of lamb get the Greek salad with lamb and chicken in it. read more

the cajun chicken sandwich is INSANELY GOOD. i love this place because not only is the food good but the staff is great. they're nice, and are easy going so it makes interactions worthwhile. there are a few TVs inside and they play music and sometimes it's a little loud for me but i do get overstimulated easy so take that as you will. it is pretty small and gets busy a good amount of the day. i think the max they can fit inside is 45-50 (i think i read it outside the door). Also, it is worth it to note that it costs more to order your food to-go. They also offer a discount if you work in the plaza! read more

Would give zero if possible !! Never have I been more insulted by a restaurant in my life ! Ordered over the phone for an office of 5 . Repeated the order a few times . When I picked up the food and delivered it half the order was missing . I called the owner and he blamed me . Said I didn't order properly . Also said all the food was there when in fact it wasn't . He took zero accountability for his mistake and yelled at me . Food we did get was not appealing . Be warned . Horrible Avoid at all cost . Many more desirable Greek restaurants around . read more

I came here for lunch on a Saturday. The decor and ambiance have subtle hints of Greek culture, but the alternitive rock music in the background doesn't really fit the theme. I ordered a gyro wrap. This classic Greek sandwich is nearly impossible to get wrong. I watched the grill cook carve the meat off the big cone as it rotated around on the vertical rotisserie. It was served up quickly and was good and hot. The gyro came with red onions, diced tomatoes and tzatziki sauce. This was served on a grilled pita. The sandwich was good, but not great. By the time I finished I had grease running down my arm. I may return to try a kebob or Greek salad, but I will say the gyro was average at best. read more

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. This is a Greek/American Cafe. After reviewing the menu, I decided on a Gyro, fries and a drink. I found a table, grabbed a drink from the soda machine and not too long after that my gyro and fries came out. The gyro was good, the meat was fresh and the onions and tomatoes were fresh and bright, the sauce topped it off nicely. The fries were good, but they were a bit too salty for my taste. The decor was modern with ample seating and Greek photos. They had alternative rock playing and the staff was friendly. I would like to try more on the menu, so I will be back. read more

Five came in on a Tuesday to find a table . The place was standing room only by 100 and the reason? Great food and prompt service at a good price. Takeout was prompt as well. I had falafels, dolmens hummus and tabouli which were well prepared and beautifully presented. The falafels were hot and crisp on the outside and soft inside. Not over seasoned ... I would have loved a bit of taziki to dip into. The hummus was decorated with a few olives and slid easily into an ample supply of pita bread. I love it when the pita and plate are an even match . Tabouli had a ton of parsley, which is good to my palate...the dolmehs were tasty rice was very tightly wrapped which made them dense, but good. Persians use more lemon in their recipe and I prefer them lemony. The decor was classic, easy in easy out, lots of tables and chairs and banquettes against the wall . The usual spritz of seaside photos on the wall. Service was prompt efficient and smiling. Folks took pride in the food and presentation. And the price was good as well. The only caveat is that the concrete floor made it very noisy but it was clean. Clean trumps everything. I'll be back! read more

**update only 4 stars because they can't stop forgetting my tzatziki sauce. Best Greek salad in the valley!!! I haven't lived in Mesa for years but I will drive an hour round trip for this salad. I've tried to find others but they can't compare. The Greek salad with gyro meat is my life. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! Its been the same level of amazing for at least 10 years. I work nearby and stop in regularly to eat here. I have never had an average meal here, it is always excellent. They are always cooked to perfection. The service is great. I love it when Leena is taking orders at the front. Even if they are busy she still takes time to make me feel welcome. The owners are often found working in the kitchen - so you know they are not just collecting a paycheck. They're EARNING it. Their recipes leave me craving more and it's only due to my above average self control that I don't eat here on a daily basis. My three recommendations is the chicken kabob salad, chicken kabob wrap and chicken shawarma. Notice a trend? The chicken is GOOD. Also - don't forget your Greek fries. They tend to get busy during the lunch rush, but if you stop in before 12:00 or after 2:00 you are sitting pretty. If you're not lucky enough to miss the lunch rush, have no fear. They are quick to serve and you will be eating in a timely manner. This place is amazing! read more

Picked up dinner here yesterday night, and was impressed. The gyro wrap had so much meat and I love that the Greek fries came with sauce on the side so my fries weren't soggy. I've tried their salads before and those are just as tasty. Be aware if you call your order in, their phone line might be busy. Keep calling as they might have their lines busy due to the amount of take out orders they receive. read more

Cafe Mix is amazing quality food! Fresh pitas with hummus. Their tzatziki sauce is delicious! Aside from their tasty beef, lamb and grilled chicken gyros their Greek salad and dressing is a reason I keep coming back. Crisp chopped lettuce and all the fixings! If you get a gyro, don't skip the fries! They were a surprise the first time I tried them. Perfectly fried! We use them often for catering office events. Owner is super friendly too. Sooo, it was our 1st visit. My son loves Greek gyros. They are a simple place, take out or eat in options. They did not have to go menus, they suggested for me to view the website as needed. However my sons order is simple..... Gyros sandwich. Plain and dry ,just meat and pita bread with a side of frys. I inquired as to the lamb to beef ratio, knowing that Arizona has specific limitations to what can be served. The man behind the counter was unsure. Still not a deal breaker as I am sure to be the only person to ever ask this question. Now, my issue came with pricing.. I usually pay about 7 to 8 dollars for this combo. My total here was 13.00. This was a who and wow moment. We paid it hoping it was worth it.. mybson said not really. The portions were smaller than his "usual " spot. I was unimpressed and probably not go back, but it is truly is not a bad place.. just not impressed. read more

For dinner, I ordered the pork chop, because I have a hard time passing up a good pork chop. This one was something else. Perfectly cooked, tender, and finished with just the right touch of sweetness. Whatever the chef is doing back there, it works. This was definitely a long way from the pork chops my mom was serving us in the '70s. The whole table loved their food, and even the bread was memorable. Great service, great cocktails, and just an all-around excellent meal with family. Heritage was recommended to us, and I'm very glad we listened. In the middle of an Arizona summer, that made an already uncomfortable table even worse. We asked if we could move to an open table for four and were told no. Shortly afterward, another couple who had also been seated near a leak asked to move to the exact table we had requested--and they were accommodated. We raised the issue with Rick, the manager. He said he would check on it, but he never returned to acknowledge the situation or offer an explanation. Before we left, my husband spoke with him again and asked why he had not followed up. Unfortunately, he was dismissive and unapologetic. The food was good, but the overall experience fell short. Our main course took an unusually long time to arrive, and the steak was cold when it was served. On a positive note, Shane provided great service and was the highlight of the evening. Still, between the heat, leak, inconsistent seating decision, delayed cold food, and poor management response, it was a bad experience, particularly for two anniversary celebrations. With so many other restaurant options in Arizona, we will likely choose somewhere else next time.

Visited cafe mix yet again, and for the first time I was greatly disappointed, I was waited on by a dark haired girl, she was rude, had an attitude problem, and seemed to argue about what items we were requesting to be taken off our order due to allergies, I've never seen anything like it, after our order was brought out to us it was wrong all items we requested to be taken off were not, and our sever ignored us for 10min, a new girl we seen helped us by replacing our order correctly and promptly, awesome server by the way, take notes management, because the dark hair sever seemed to really talk down the the new girl that helped us, this dark haired girl ruined our experience and Because of this we will not be returning. Definitely my favorite! Me and my brother just went there 15 min before closing, I don't think we have ever been treated that well at another restaurant. My brother ordered a greek salad with chicken kabob and I ordered a Philly gyro, after talking to the owner Sam, he recommended me adding jalapeño, OH MY GOD it was so good and We couldn't even finish it! We ended up taking it home so We could enjoy it tomorrow. I see some bad reviews in here and I really don't get it. The guy who runs this place (and works the register, I think he's the owner) is an absolute jerk. He treats his customers poorly, and it doesn't look like his employees are happy to be there, either. I can't say I blame them. If you go to this place, tread lightly because the owner guy who will take your order will probably be pissed off that you are even there. read more
