It doesn't need to be a hidden gem, but with some adjustments to their marketing strategy I think it has a lot of potential to be much bigger. I have never been let down by their coffee. I think their matcha is fine, it wasn't my faavorite but it's a decent option. My partner has ordered their juice and really enjoyed it. The newest addition to the cafe, and perhaps the best, is DINNER!! Chef Rodrigo did a fantastic job curating the menu, and pushing this spot into new territory. He specializes in pasta, and has roots in both Argentina and Italy. I had a great time sitting at the bar, learning about his inspiration, and trying some incredible food. I started with their not-caesar caesar salad, which featured miso paste. This was a great dish, I'm not typically a caesar salad fan because of how heavy the dressing is but I had no issue with this dish. Next up, I tried the roasted seasonal peppers. This was different than anything I've tried before, with fresh peppers, tortillas, and cream. It was light and refreshing. For the main dish, I had the ravioli with wine-cheese sauce. this was truly delicious. The sauce is light, unlike most cheese based pasta sauces. I really thought it was perfect. I noted to Rodrigo that I wish I could taste the wine flavor a liiiiittle more, but it was excellent. I got a dessert to go - the gluten free banana bread. I was nervous because it's gluten free, but WOW it is tasty. I'd seriously recommend stopping in for dinner. The staff is very friendly and the food does not miss. I will definitely be back! My friend lives in NJ but makes sure she stops here anytime she's in town! The place is smalll but filled with love. The food menu looks amazing, love that they have Ramen, kimchi, delicious breakfast options. I cannot wait to come back next week to try the food. I'll start with the positives: the café is undeniably cute. The gothic-inspired decor gives it a trendy, spooky atmosphere, and I can definitely see why people are drawn to it. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to the aesthetic. The café was pretty busy, and I understand that they appeared to be working with limited front-of-house staff. However, the service was disorganized and inattentive. Since we weren't familiar with how things worked, we didn't realize our drinks were supposed to be picked up at the counter. They sat there until the barista eventually noticed us and mentioned that they had been ready. My friends had ordered iced beverages, so it wasn't a huge issue for them, but my hot chocolate was barely warm. Then came the food. We waited approximately 35-45 minutes for our brunch. At one point, there appeared to be confusion about whether our food was supposed to be packaged to go or served for dine-in. By the time we received everything, my breakfast platter was cold. Here's the disappointing part: I genuinely believe my breakfast platter could have been a 10/10 had it been served hot. The food itself had potential, but temperature makes a huge difference, especially when ordering a hot breakfast. To be fair, my friends enjoyed their sandwiches, which were meant to be served cold or at room temperature. Unfortunately, I couldn't say the same about my meal. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the atmosphere is charming and unique. However, good aesthetics can only take a café so far. Service, communication, and food quality matter just as much. They force me to use an intermediary (DoorDash) that marks up their items and takes commission from them. I want them to get all their money! Please fix your website so your customers aren't forced to order through a middleman that takes commission from you!
