Would 10/10 come here just for the atmosphere. It's such a delightful old Hollywood vibe. The service is delightful. You can tell a lot of care goes into this place. There are table tops, a bar, couches, and ample room to walk about. Great coffee. I did not get any food but the meatballs do look amazing

I've owned 3 cafe's before and this was my first experience here. The lamb quiche was okay but our coffees was not a pleasant experience. My wife got served in a cracked cup. The coffee was plenty strong but the inside had residue from someones previous milk based drink . . . in other word . . . Wash Your Cups well!!

First time eating here and no exaggeration - one of the BEST bowls of pasta I have ever had. The rigatoni with wild mushrooms, peas, and sautéed leaks with a delicate cheese sauce. Fantastic! The rigatoni was extra large and cooked perfectly al dente. Free WiFi. Fantastic ambience and music! Decent prices! This is going to be my new favorite remote work place!

Best cappuccino in the valley this space does not disappoint.

I was with some friends in Ashland for a bachelorette outing this spring, and the restaurant where…read morewe had planned on eating dinner ended up having an event going on and we were unable to go there. We ended up just wandering around the area looking for an alternative and stumbled upon Osteria La Briccola; I'm always down for Italian, and it looked like there were some good options for the members of our group who were gluten free. There were 7 of us though, and we were told it would be about a 50-minute wait for a table. It was getting kind of late to be looking for somewhere else to go, so we were like okay, we'll just sit and wait. As we were walking away, the general manager Daniel rushed out and said if we could give him 15 minutes, he could have us set up in the private dining room. We didn't even know such a thing existed, but we said okay, cool. Reader, it could not have possibly been a better experience. We waited a bit (less than 15 minutes, even) and walked into this private space to find a large family-style dining table all set up for us, with candlelight and music and the whole bit. Our server Patrick was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the menu, able to answer all our questions, and had a great sense of humor. Everyone ordered something different and ended up trying bites of each other's food, and it was all delicious. Several of us even ordered dessert; I don't normally, but the salted caramel gelato sounded too good to pass up (and it was well worth it). It was such a great evening and was, I'm sure, 10x better than the other place we'd originally planned on eating at. Thank you Daniel and Patrick for taking such good care of us!

There is not one thing I would change about this restaurant. Making the reservation on their…read morewebsite site was easy. We showed up at 5 and were greeted by the same fabulous woman as last time. You just know that someone that kind and welcoming would not own a place she wasn't rightfully proud of. She sets the tone and all the employees carry it through the entire meal. We chose to try the patio tonight and it was cozy yet open, darker with a couple of fire lights around the room. Intimate. Some of the tables are separated by live plants in planter boxes. We loved it. We started with the beets (with shaved fennel pieces and a citrus vinaigrette with a tahini yogurt sauce on the bottom) and burrata (with grilled pieces of bread and sugar snap peas and capers) appetizers - both were delicious. Randy wanted to try another of their off menu drinks. We can't remember what this drink is called but it's not on the menu and has some Mai tai mix and orange bitters ... like a mock Mai tai spritzer. Delicious - Randy had two! I got the mushroom bolognese - so good. It's home made (!) bucatini pasta with a mushroom (cremini, oyster and shiitake) and san Marzano tomato sauce with burrata on top. I love mushrooms but Randy does not and he loved this dish. The mushrooms taste meaty. Randy ordered the Carbonara again and it was also delicious. We also got an order of garlic bread this time and wow. We each have half of our dinners left, lucky us. We shared the creme brûlée which came with a lavender short bread cookie. Perfect. Everything was perfect. The place was packed and all employees were calm and efficient and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

TL;DR: the service and menu are inconsistent. Some nights really good, some nights not. Mistakes…read morewere made by multiple aspects of the restaurant and a member of our party who communicated very clearly that she has Celiac was served a dish with bread. I truly want to like this restaurant, but I have had some really mixed experiences. The ambiance is very nice - it can get a little loud in the dining room, but the tables are comfortable, the lighting is appropriate, and the decor is interesting. The wine list is phenomenal and the reason I brought friends on my most recent visit. The menu is really hit and miss. There are some dishes that are excellent (some things even sell out before the evening is over), but unfortunately, not all. The hostess is absolutely wonderful - she is charming and funny and really has a talent for making you feel welcome and appreciated for dining with them. Unfortunately, the service is really hit and miss. On my last visit, the waitress really didn't seem like she had time for us. She didn't take the time to explain in much detail about menu items or the wine list. She didn't participate in any banter with us or really make us feel welcome. She seemed rushed, which has not been my experience with service here in the past. My biggest concern, though, is about the efforts of the staff and kitchen to keep items allergen-free. The restaurant advertises itself as a place that is Celiac knowledgeable and friendly. We made it clear in our reservation and to the waitress when we sat down at the table that one member of our party had Celiac and needed to be strictly gluten free. All seemed well and we ordered two appetizers marked as gluten free on the menu. One of those appetizers was served with bread. After the food had been delivered, the waitress must have noticed the issue and offered to have the kitchen remake the dish. We agreed (she left the original plate on the table and in the end we were only charged for one, so all good). The re-made dish was brought out, with bread on the side. There should not have been bread at all, it was very confusing. All in all I would return one more time and hope to have a different experience, but if that experience was the same as my recent one, I likely would not return.
