I've come to Cafe Flora twice now and both times have gotten the rancho Colorado scramble. This was unintentional but I must say both times they were delicious! I do wish the portion was a tad bit bigger, but getting the potatoes on the side instead of the grits made it much more filling. So if you're looking to fill up more, keep that in mind. I came on a cold winter morning early for brunch and was welcome with a warm smile that instantly made me feel like I was in a place that would become a core memory. First time at Flora cafe. Went in this past weekend for Brunch, party of 4. The fountains & their wallpapers are so pretty & so on brand with their other location ( Flora Bakehouse ) really cute! Upon entering we were greeted right away by the host! We were given the option for indoor or outdoor seating. We went with the patio since it was sunny. What we ordered ( 100.00 before tax + tip ) 2 Strawberry Matcha Latte Cinnamon Roll 2 Cornbread Pancakes Rancho Colorado Scramble Elote Tartine Yam Fries Pancakes were good except the butter/mascarpone cheese that comes with them had an off taste to it. We asked what was added to it and they said they believed a lemon syrup but it tasted more like it had gone bad. Pretty sure an ingredient in there was expired. The strawberry matcha lattes looked cute but needed more sugar to bring more of the strawberry flavor out. The Elote tartine was really good. I would definitely get it again, every element complimented each other well. The scramble was good but basic. Potatoes were good perfect amount of seasoning. Service : Service started off fine, but then it went downhill. We were looking through the menu for a while and our server didn't check in. After we got our food, they did come by once, but then disappeared for a while. We overheard them telling the table next to us that they were going on break, and we didn't get any heads-up. We were left unattended for about an hour. Lovely Brunch place that I can highly recommend! The ambiance with the running water in one of the rooms is incredible. If possible try to get a table in that room! We had a late brunch there and it was delicious. I highly recommend the Lox and it was plenty of food for me and I came hungry. Parking is easy to find and should not be a problem. It can get very busy there so with a larger group, I would try to get a reservation. Wait for 2 wasn't too bad (30min). Staff was friendly. I wouldn't recommend. For starters- there were two hairs in my food. One sitting right on top of the eggs, and another tucked away in the grit. While I am not super particular about hair being in my food (we have animals at home), everything else just lowered my overall impression. The customer service was very poor. We were seated very quickly in the outside patio; however, it took nearly 15minutes for us to be attended by a waiter. The food was quick, but the waiter didn't touch base with us again until 1 hour later after we finished our meal. Some people may prefer being left alone, but we were short on water. The mochi beignets were delicious; however, I hold a special place for the ones in Downtown Disneyland. They are worth the try. The breakfast platter was very bland. The eggs could have used more seasoning. This was my first time trying grits, and my pallet didn't like them. My wife had better food than I did. In response to the person who gave a one star review after a (misrepresented) accident involving a portion of the HVAC equipment on 08/03/25 (which the restaurant, as a tenant, has no direct control over), I will say this. I can understand the frustration of waiting in line then finding the restaurant has to close. But I find the lack of empathy shocking. This was not a minor incident of one person falling. It was significantly more serious and injured several people and created an urgent situation, not to mention a liability for staff and customers alike. It feels like egregious entitlement to put your brunch being inconvenienced ahead of the well being of everyone else. Something I am all too familiar with after 30 years working in retail. I come to Cafe Flora every Saturday and Sunday. I have always had a lovely experience. The staff is professional, courteous, and efficient. The food is consistent and delicious. And the atmosphere is relaxing and laid back. I especially appreciate that they provide the same service and attention to detail to me as a typically solo diner as they do to everyone else. I sincerely hope others do not give credence to that review. My experience has been flawless at Cafe Flora. It's where I go to unwind, and has never disappointed. Very disappointing experience at Cafe Flora. We checked in for brunch at 12 and were told the wait would be 45 minutes. We came back after 50 minutes and they told us they were not seating anyone because someone had fallen inside. I completely understand that accidents happen and I care about the person who fell, but this is a big restaurant. I asked if we could be seated on the other side since we had already waited an hour, but they just said they were in shock. What made it worse was that while refusing us, one of the staff was taking pictures with someone and still handling other guests. That does not look like shock. I politely requested they show some empathy, but they were extremely rude and dismissive. A few other people were also left outside after waiting just like us. It came with sourdough bread toasted perfectly. The yam fries were a bit soggy, I wish they made it crispier. I also got the asparagus and spring onion risotto. It was an interesting flavor combination but it worked okay together, and the arugula salad that it came with was refreshing. I don't know if I'd get this entree again but it was still good to experience once. My friend got the taco dorados that came with a big helping of greens, beans, and a bunch of other things that filled the plate up. Everything is well cooked and not particularly heavy(I went for the half order of biscuits). The yam fries are basically sweet potato fries, crisped well, taste divine. The cookie butter latte could have been better incorporated, but it's a hard one to get right. Still tasted great. It's a little bit pricy, but if you have a special meal for the week, I would strongly recommend going here, especially if you have family that doesn't eat meat or dairy (my partner is vegan, he really enjoyed it too.) This has always been my favorite vegetarian restaurant. The food is so flavorful and is truly comfort food, even though it's also full of veggies! Whenever I eat here I truly feel like I'm eating the rainbow but it's DELICIOUS. Their brunch is amazing but there is always a wait and you can't make a reservation. It's a really cute restaurant where the main dining space has really pretty wallpaper but we sat in their indoor/outdoor space so it was really bright but covered. We ordered the cinnamon roll to start with and was surprised it came out seemingly cold. It would have been much better if they had warmed it up before serving. WOW! One of the best brunches I've ever had. Their interior is so cute and perfect for a brunch date. We were seated in their airy atrium next to the fountain and lush with greenery. The food was beautiful and tasted amazing. We shared the Rhubarb Ginger Waffle (seasonal, crispy and fluffy in all the right places; pistachio cream was unique and not too sweet) and Biscuits & Gravy with a side of seasoned tofu (a great shareable; rosemary biscuits were a bit dense and dry but the rich mushroom gravy more than made up for it). I saw one table by the window in the fountain dining room and the host was flexible/kind enough to let us sit there. So the service from the host to the waiter was great. He was very knowledgeable about the wine and he actually stopped me from getting a wine that I thought I would love. He gave me the tasting and it definitely was weird. So I ended up ordering the wine the server recommended. I am not a vegetarian and that is why I have never really made an effort to dine in. Boy was I wrong. I loved the harvest trio dips. Chickpea, beets and almond dips were fantastic along with their focacia bread. Then we ordered blackhead burger with yam fries. It was fantastic. We also ordered risotto which we ended up packing it to go since we were so full. Anyhow I highly recommend this place. This is a nice veg-friendly cafe in the middle of a cute neighborhood! The interior was adorable, very plant and nature focused. I came here for brunch on Sunday at 11am, which had about a 45 min wait. They don't take reservations with the exception of some holidays, so definitely be prepared to wait a while on the weekends. For drinks, I ordered a traveler's chai, and my friend got an oat latte. I was pretty disappointed in the chai, it was super watery and the flavor wasn't very strong. Considering it was made with whole milk, the foam on top didn't really hold its shape. I didn't try my friend's latte, but I think she liked her drink. For food, I really enjoyed the seasonal pumpkin pancakes, and I'm not really a pancake person. They were super soft and fluffy, and the toppings paired really well with the pumpkin flavor. The corn and heirloom scramble was decent, the flavor of the goat cheese and dill tasted very fresh and tangy. I do feel like it was very simple like something that I could make at home though, so not sure if that means anything. I was a bit disappointed with the potatoes, I think they would've been better as bigger chunks because it was hard to get all the tiny bits with a fork. As a long time Seattle resident and visitor and supporter of Cafe Flora over decades, I find it ever increasingly mediocre. The food is just okay and the service has really gone downhill. This last visit was the final straw for me. When staff give you attitude to be seated (mind you it was not that busy) then ignore your table for your entire visit after bringing your food, you find yourself asking and waiting forever to get your check, and again sooo much attitude. Basically our server rolled his eyes when I brought the check up front I was so tired of waiting then threw a bag on our table as if that was such a gracious addition to our take out boxes and stormed off. I loved my meal at Cafe Flora. It looks like their menu changes seasonally and they certainly take advantage of what's in season. On my recent visit, I had the Yakima Valley Polenta. I had a hard time deciding what to order and made a last-minute switch to this and am so glad I did! On top of two large triangles of polenta was a wealth of fresh yummy produce, including peas, Walla Walla onions, and cooked Washington cherries. Cherries on polenta - sounds kind of weird but they were so yummy! This dish felt very unique and not something I would find anywhere else. My friend has the nettle pesto risotto which also tasted great, albeit a little less exciting than my polenta. Cafe Flora looks a little small from the outside, but is pretty big inside, and has a large back patio. We ate on the patio on a warm summer night and it was perfect! Great, attentive, service as well. Everything on the menu is vegetarian, with a large number vegan or that can be made vegan. I was eyeing what everyone else around me was eating and it all looked really good. I didn't order one, but the cocktails also looked very fun. The menu itself is beautifully put together and you can tell there is a passion for putting together high quality vegetarian food that's more than a fast casual concept. We ordered the brussel spouts, the focaccia, the panisse and the pumpkin canelloni. OVERALL the food is satisfactory. The pumpkin canelloni was hearty and tasted good but a little flat. I wish it had something fresh to offer more balance to the whole dish. The panisse had golden raisins and it is not mentioned in the menu at all. I'm not allergic or picky but I cannot stand raisins in any capacity so it put me off from the dish and I ended up not eating most of it. The flavors were cohesive and abundant. I get that this is a curated menu and nicer place and therefore, less descriptive in ingredients. They ask about allergies but I'm not going to make a stink because I hate raisins like that and send my dish back. If they had been disclosed I would've just ordered something else. Just letting other people know that not all ingredients are disclosed on the menu. The brussel sprouts were unfortunately so over sauced and oily that it overwhelmed the brussel sprouts, which is the only other aspect of the dish besides what is in the sauce. They arrived at varying temperatures but I think that has more to do with the varying size and density of the food. We love sprouts so we ate them anyway and they were still crispy and it was good, just too much. We would give this place another chance because overall it was a good experience. Coming from a restaurant background I know that every kitchen and FOH has off days, plus the brunch looks good!!
