Best kept secret in St. Louis! Oh my. After 3 long hours walking miles throughout the gardens, we were ready to leave and grab Sunday brunch, when lo and behold we stumbled upon Cafe Flora en route to the exit. Though small, the menu is excellent and they have a full bar! Bloody Mary's, mimosas, sangria, screwdrivers - you name it. Our food came out in 5 minutes but you'd never have known, because it was piping hot and beautifully prepared. I ordered the sweet and savory chicken sausage blintzes: crepes filled with chicken-apple sausage and ricotta cheese, topped with lingonberry jam, and served with a side of legitimately fresh fruit (watermelon, strawberries, kiwi, pineapple,'and honeydew). YUM! I'd order that dish again in a heartbeat. The yogurt parfait entree was huge, and the other dishes (chicken-bacon bagel sandwich and smoked salmon platter) received wide praise, too. If you're lucky enough to dine outside, the patio overlooks the pond, fountains, and Climatron. Since the cafe is on the border of the property, it can also be accessed by the public without paying admission to the gardens. Definitely check this place out if you're visiting the gardens - you won't regret it.

Cafe Flora is inside the Botanical Garden and they serve huge bloody mary's and the brunch items were all delicious! The view outside of the floor to ceiling windows is of a reflecting pool with statues etc. - just gorgeous! I loved this place!

Cafe Flora has a delicious brunch on most Sundays during the spring, summer, and autumn. It's open from 10 until 2 inside the garden, so it requires garden admission. It has indoor and outdoor seating. The service is fast casual. You order and pay at a desk and someone brings your food out to your table. I ordered the french toast, which was amazing. It comes out like a bread pudding made from cinnamon rolls and croissants. It's served with bacon, maple syrup and butter. The mimosas were also great.

This was our brunch. We weren't fans.

Fake eggs, cheap bacon, cheap sausage, cheap potatoes. We won't be going back. Beautiful view and awesome staff though!

We love coffee and the blend at Breakfast Corner is delightful! SERVICE-Sierra was wonderful. Gave us time to peruse the menu and took our orders. Coffee refill was timely and we kept the pot! They have a great cocktail menu but we opted for a bottle of wine instead. The waiter was super helpful in helping us pick out a nice red blend. I also got the apple dish, which was listed under the salads but the waiter was sure to explain it's not an actual salad. Since it wasn't a full salad I also got the soup. Both the apple dish and soup were really good. It's street parking but there's lots of spots in the area. The bathroom is super nice with hairspray and mints if needed. Nice place for a good meal.

The only real warmth we encountered came from the female host; the rest of the staff delivered service that hovered somewhere between disinterested and "we're doing you a favor by being here." We kicked things off with the fried deviled eggs, which arrived neither fried nor particularly deviled -- just cold little reminders that hope is fleeting. Cocktails landed squarely in "General Public" territory. My Squatty Potty showed up lukewarm, like it had been loitering at the bar contemplating its life choices instead of making it to the table piping hot. A chicken Caesar salad was perfectly fine... if you enjoy playing hide-and-seek with the chicken. The breakfast burger came on an English muffin with what might be the most emotionally unavailable portion of hash brown casserole I've ever seen -- tiny, distant, and gone too soon. Then there's the Scream Burger. Marketed as ghost-pepper spicy, priced like it's the main event, and delivered with all the heat of a polite Midwestern handshake. Dry, bland, and somehow bold enough to charge me an extra dollar for more mayo -- because nothing says "premium burger experience" like a condiment upcharge to make it edible. My husband's Pork Pountine? Imagine fries sprinkled with a few bacon bits like confetti at a party nobody wanted to attend. We came in excited because Eat Crow in Soulard sets the bar high. Unfortunately, Crows Nest feels like it's cooking for someone driving in from Chesterfield who asked the kitchen to "tone it down." If you're craving the real deal, do yourself a favor: go to Soulard. This nest still needs a lot more feathers. And to the influencers calling this place "amazing" -- do better. Honest, authentic reviews help restaurants grow and help diners know what they're walking into. Stop selling hype and start telling the truth.

Ordered the French onion soup, as this was the reason I came. Taste was great, but the soup had a thicker consistency than I was used to. Seeing an espresso machine behind the bar, I glad to see they use "real" espresso in their martini. I got real excited when he grabbed my favorite vodka, Tito's as the base. Watching his masterful skills as he prepared our cocktails was pure entertainment. We were both impressed with the presentation of our martinis. They are served in vintage styled glasses. It was the best Espresso Martini I have had since, Harvey's in midtown closed. The martinis were so good, we thought we'd have a light nosh. We both like pistachios so we ordered a, Pistachio Brown Butter Tea Cake and shared it. The bartender also recommended it. His description was spot on. With an excellent martini and a pistachio tea cake, I may have told the bartender that I loved him. We finished our drinks and I settled up our tab in celebration of my BFF's B-Day. Walking out, both of us said, we're definitely coming back.

Still want to try their wings. I want Guy Fieri to come here and try their food... Tips: Weekend brunch lines are long, I'd recommend utilizing the Yelp waitlist when able. If you're eating in the winter, try to avoid eating by the door ... unfortunately my biscuits and gravy were a bit cold the last time I ate there because the wind kept blowing in when people were checking in at the hostess stand. But that's okay because the Posole was steaming! Tables larger than 6 are going to have a longer wait time in the winter. In nicer weather, the outdoor patio is great to enjoy a meal in. That's what you get with local diner charm! This place is definitely a special spot in St. Louis
