First time trying Nepali food in Ohio! At first we were a bit nervous about the place because the outside photos didn't look very nice but inside was nice and bright! We ordered chicken Jhol Momo, steamed Momo and vegetarian c Momo. Overall I think the momos could have more flavor and be more soicy. My favorite ended up being the c Momo for this reason. My second favorite was the steamed and then Jhol. The service was quick and fast!

Give this place a try,. You walk in and are first taken by open, light, and clean it is. You are greeted warmly by the staff. Anything is explained to you perfectly. I'm looking forward to going back again to this gem.

Had cafe Everest for the 2nd time and wow it's truly so so delicious. We get a bunch of entrees and share family style and even when we get it to go it tastes fresh and hot. Strongly recommend ordering the pani puri, chicken johl momo (my favorite), chicken biryani, and of course, Naan. I haven't eaten inside yet but it seems spacious and casual, a good place to grab a meal with friends or family.

If you're looking for amazing Nepali food, this spot is an absolute gem! The flavors are incredibly authentic, and everything we've tried has been delicious, but the momos? Next level. Perfectly steamed, packed with flavor, and paired with the most delicious dipping sauces--easily the best we've had outside of Nepal. Beyond the food, the service is top-notch--warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance is really nice too, making it a great place to sit, relax, and enjoy a meal. Honestly, I secretly hope this place doesn't go viral because the food is so good, I want to keep it to myself--but they truly deserve all the praise and appreciation. If you love authentic Nepali cuisine, this place is a must-visit!

Pani Puri. Don't miss it! Absolute perfection.

The food quality and experience is always reliable. Delicious and flavorful without being overly spicy. Just the right amount of tasty. The service is always welcoming and the environment warm and friendly. Chai, rice, naan, and daal are always a delight.

My time here was right after they had just completed a remodel and the inside looks great! Everyone's food that came out was fresh looked delicious! The lentil soup was definitely the best I've ever had, and the curry's were awesome.

I had a delicious Nepalese meal here with a group of about 25. The owner was delightful and came out to talk to us about the food and how he started the restaurant. Props to our server who was friendly and efficient. The dishes were a parade of complex flavor and spice blends and many of us shared so we could try different things. Not pictured is the Roti bread which I would highly recommend. Don't miss the Dry Aloo Dum appetizer! I can't wait to return to try more on this extensive menu.

This is our second visit to Cafe Everest, and once again, we enjoyed our meal. They renovated the restaurant since our last visit over a year ago. It's very spacious and clean with nice photos on the wall. Service is excellent (5 stars). Samosa (2 Pcs) 4.5 stars Crispy pastry stuffed with potatoes and peas, served with mint chutney and sweet tamarind chutney. Nepali Special Thali Chicken 4 stars Nepali special plattar dish served with mix vegetable Curry, choice of meat option , Saag, Mango Achar, Pappad, Dal Makhani, Gulab Jamun, and long grain basmati rice.

First time trying Nepali food. The momos were excellent. I keep craving it over and over again. It has flavours that ooze in your mouth. The noodles were a bit dry. The place is very clean and ample amount of seats. They were super busy. The service when provided was good, but it was super slow. The food took a while to come out. The servers probably need more training on checking on the guest in timely manner, taking timely orders and bringing the checks. Maybe they just need to hire more help.

Highly highly recommend this Nepali/Indian restaurant. It's a relatively unassuming looking restaurant from the outside but the food here was fantastic. I ordered a vegetable pakora (highly recommend - very crispy and with a huge serving size for an app), chicken jhol momo (chicken dumpling in a delicious broth), and goat thali (a little salty, but very balanced portions and it was still satisfying). They also started us with a lentil soup on the house. Service was fast and very friendly. Will definitely be visiting again.

I found a diamond in the rough! I got lamb curry with rice and lentil soup! it was sooo good! They let me dine in at even though they were about to close in 20 min for lunch at 3:30 and open back at 5. The host had good vibes

I went here last night with a group of 24 ladies and the staff did amazing! The food came out hot and fresh. The prices were very reasonable, a great family establishment and very close to my home so I can easily go back whenever in the mood for Nepali and Indian food.

Ate here last night and I can't believe I haven't been here before, it's right in my neighborhood! It is a small family owed/ operated restraunt, cooking family recipes. The staff are very receptive to answering questions about the food. I ordered the Pani Poori and Jhol Momos. They were absolutely delicious! They had the perfect spice level in my opinion. I was with a large group (24), serving this large group not easy but they did a great job. highly recommend cafe everest!!

I've never had Indian food before, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect or what to order--but everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The ambience of the restaurant is very welcoming and fun, making it a great spot to try something new. For appetizers, we had Lasuni Gobi, which is crispy cauliflower tossed in a garlic chili sauce with bold Indo-Chinese flavors. It was really tasty, though definitely on the spicier side. We also tried the Vegetable Samosa, the crispy pastry with spiced potatoes was really interesting burst of flavor. For our main meal, we went with Chicken Tikka Masala, which was grilled chicken in a creamy tomato sauce with aromatic Indian spices. Paired with Garlic Naan and served with a side of rice, it was absolutely comforting and flavorful. Everything we tried was fantastic, and the staff were welcoming and helpful, especially since it was my first time trying Indian cuisine. Our server was very attentive and helpful with suggestions on what to order. We loved the free crunchy snacks and fresh mint chutney. We started with the Lasuni Gobi appetizer, a fried cauliflower in chili sauce that rocked both our worlds. We wanted to try the Velvet Broccoli, another vegetarian dish, but alas it somehow came contaminated with chicken. Thankfully, the staff rectified the situation and we got a second order of the incredible Lasuni Gobi instead. I had a new-to-me curry, the Lababdar paneer, which was utterly delicious and perfectly spiced. We shared the bread basket and bestie had a mild veggie curry. We were treated to the Gulab jamun for dessert on the house. Love the romantic decor, awesome grub and friendly helpful service. We will be back!

My friend and I were the only ones in the big restaurant upon arrival. I noticed about 2 different people during the night come in to pick up their to-go order. AMBIANCE -- Cultural music plays in the background. I love all the colourful photos on the wall and the unique light fixtures. FOOD -- I ordered the Mixed Grill ($24.99) - 1 Kafta (beef), 1 Tawook (chicken), and 1 Kabob (lamb) which was served over white rice with 1 tomato, 1 green pepper, and 1 big onion. I don't like onions so I set that aside. The Mixed Grill was a good meal for dinner. It comes in a large plate so it definitely was too much food for me. I gladly took a to-go box home with my leftovers. All the meats were cooked well and tasted good. The lamb was my favourite. The rice served appeared to be a rice pilaf. The complimentary lamb soup was served lukewarm (almost cold) and I didn't like the taste. It's an acquired taste for sure. My friend and I commented that maybe if the lamb soup was warmer that it would have tasted better. I also ordered the Maloog bread as a side dish which is similar to Indian naan bread. The Maloog bread would have tasted better with some butter on it. I asked for butter but the server said she didn't have any. SERVICE -- Complimentary lamb soup was offered and complimentary tea is provided which is nice. The tea is up at the front counter so you serve yourself the tea. The service was good but could be better. The young woman from Afghanistan greeted us at the table with a toothpick in her mouth which was kind of funny but still slightly unprofessional. She laughed and apologized but I said it was fine. I asked for a glass or cup of water and they don't offer that service which was odd. I had to buy a bottled water for $1. Buying the water didn't bother me as it was just $1 but I'm used to most restaurants just offering water on the house. The young hostesses did check on my table a few times which was good. I can see myself ordering food from Dar Alyemen again but I'll get takeout instead of dining in. The neighbourhood where this restaurant is located is a bit secluded. I do love that this is an ethic restaurant that showcases an immigrant business. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 85/250 total reviews in 2026 - 926 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 15 May 2026

We are big fans, and owners of the Royal Enfield brand of motorcycle, which had a large display at the show, and was really the main reason why we drove to the show from Pittsburgh. After the show, we wanted to get something to eat, and I suggested Indian, so we did a Yelp search and the second listing to come up was called "Chennai Delicacy" . . . and believe it or not, the city of Chennai, in India, just so happens to be where the Royal Enfield motorcycles are produced, and where our bikes were made (Crazy coincidence huh?). So we felt like it was almost our destiny to eat here. I called them on the phone just to make sure they were open, and the owner told me, that they were not really a full-service restaurant, but they had some tables and we could eat there if we wanted. He also said . . . "We are not a fancy place, but the food is really good," and that is exactly what we found . . . a small take-out counter, that had food packaged to go, not very fancy, but the food was really good (it was heated up in plastic containers and served with plastic utensils and disposable plates). The owner was so nice when we arrived, he told us about how he makes everything homemade, and that everything is very healthy. He explained the dishes on the menu. My friends went with chicken dishes (Masala and Butter) and I wanted to try something a little bit different, so I asked about the "Moong Kootu," which happened to be a vegan dish, made from Lentils (Dal), and it was really good, a bit on the spicy side, but not super spicy. We also shared an order of bread (Methi flavored), and everyone liked their food. We talked to the owner, and he told us a little bit about his restaurant, how he does a lot of catering to hospitals and other businesses, and also where he was from in India, and I spoke a little bit to him in Hindi also (I am currently learning it). The food was delicious, I am giving four stars, because I am a big fan of the food, and I enjoyed talking to the owner. Cheers!

Located in a stand alone building that was probably a Friendly's before the outside and the inside is pretty generic, nice and clean, but certainly no indication of what is being served. Honest is a vegetarian Indian restaurant with a menu that is different than any other Indian restaurant in the area. The menu runs a variety from versions of curries, sandwiches, Indo/Chinese and even pizzas. There are a number of items of Indian street food and the overall vibe is more of the kind of modern Indian casual restaurant you might actually find in India, which makes sense since this is a local franchise of a chain that started in India. Not surprisingly the times I have visited the clientele was primarily Asian. During my visits I have tried a number of items and while I found the sandwiches were good, what were my favorites were the curries and the Chinese style noodles. A number of the items were flavored with very authentic spicing so you need to be careful if you are hot spice sensitive; I really enjoyed the spiciness, but not everyone will. Overall Honest Restaurant is a great alternative to most of the other Indian restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is casual, the food is very good with some options not usually available, prices are moderate and service is good. Well worth a try especially if you are looking for something a bit different.

I went with a group at 5:30 and put our names in (definitely expect a wait, but fear not there are bars near by to kill time). There's no better word to describe the interior besides "cool". I visited while in Cleveland and was super happy I listened the folks on online forums I researched before my trip, because it delivered! The menu is more Indian-fusion rather than your super traditional Indian fare, weaving in classic flavors with a few twists and inspiration from the mediterranean and middle-east. It's special-diet friendly, with a wide range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes and I would suggest ordering 2-3 small plates per person, unless you opt for the opt for their "chef-curated menu's." We went with four dishes plus bread to share between the two of us: 1. Clay Bread ($6): Ambas version of Naan bread, just a bit less charred than I would prefer. Despite each table getting a little dish of (delicious) mango chutney, no bread service is offered so this is definitely needed if you're ordering any dippage. This tasted more like pita bread than naan and could've benefitted by a brush of ghee and sprinkle of sea salt. Rating: 3/5 2. Warm spinach dip - lemon, garam masala, yogurt ($10): A classic but with a warm and spicy spin, this was absolutely delicious and a perfect thing to dip their fluffy clay bread. Garam masala added a depth that made it addictive and the hint of fresh lemon added brightness and acidity. Definitely order this. Rating: 5/5 3. Lentil donuts - spicy serrano chili jam, coconut chutney ($13): Round little pucks of cooked red lentils shaped into mini donuts and fried, the texture and heft were a bit mushy and heavy, but the flavor was good. The serrano chili jam and coconut chutney added a sweetness and spiciness that was appreciated, and we used that to add some sweetness to the chicken tikka. I probably wouldn't order again but a good option for the vegan and gluten-free crowd. Rating 3/5 4. Lamb kofta - kohlrabi, pickled shallot, quinoa-carrot pilau, parsley ($19): These were perfectly fried, simple but super flavorful kofta's that really let the star of the show (lamb) shine. The shaved kohlrabi, pickled shallot, pilau, and parsley added freshness and brightness that balanced everything beautifully. One of the standout dishes of the night and if you're there, get this! Rating 5/5 5. Herb grilled chicken tikka - creamy tomato sauce, yogurt, chives ($20): Juicy chicken thighs were coated in a tomato-forward cream sauce that gave vibes of chicken tikka but not as spice-forward as a more traditional version (which I would have like/appreciated). Despite the description saying the chicken was grilled, it only had just the slightest hint of char and so this was one of the least favorites of the night. Good, but definitely room for improvement. Rating 3/5 Overall, Amba is absolutely worth checking out if you're craving Indian-inspired flavors in a more modern, small-plate format. The ambiance is perfect for date night, celebrations, or dinner with friends, and the menu offers enough variety and flex to explore while also being wallet-friendly.
