Wonderful authentic afghani food with great service. We really enjoyed the rice and kabob dishes the highlight was also the saffron tea. I recommend supporting this restaurant. It's in its infancy and will only get better with time and support!

Nice cozy hole in the wall restaurant. Impeccable vibes, nice decor, great friendly service. I ordered the Qabuli Uzbek Pulao and afghan burger. The Pulao is well seasoned and has a good amount of meat. The raisins and carrots add a nice sweetness. I was surprised by how much I loved the Afghan burger. It's not a traditional burger, but the combination of fries, sausage and egg is so good. Try this spot.

One the best afghan food in Ohio state, I would recommend everyone to at least try it once.

Sometimes the best restaurants aren't the ones with the biggest signs or the longest list of…read morereviews. Sometimes they're tucked into a little strip mall, quietly serving some of the best food you've had in years. That's exactly how I found Khan Kitchen House. I was near the Acura dealership one afternoon, craving Middle Eastern food, and took a chance after seeing a few promising photos online. We've now driven over an hour each way to eat here multiple times, and I'd happily do it again tomorrow. That alone should tell you how good this place is. If you only order one thing, make it the Gyro Sandwich on Paratha Pita. This isn't your typical gyro. Instead of thin, shaved meat, they serve generous, thick slices that are grilled again before they're tucked into warm paratha bread. The edges become beautifully caramelized and slightly crisp while the inside stays juicy and tender. Every bite is packed with flavor, and they absolutely do not skimp on the meat. The homemade tzatziki is fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced, while the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions taste like they were chopped moments before they hit your sandwich. And then there are the fries... Perfectly crisp, beautifully seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. My second favorite is the Tandoori Chicken Tikka Kabob Over Pulao Rice. The chicken is incredibly tender with just the right amount of char from the tandoor. It's served over fragrant basmati pulao with sweet carrots and raisins, alongside warm naan and homemade yogurt sauce. Every bite is full of flavor, and it somehow reheats just as well the next day. I almost always order one to take home. One thing I really appreciate is that nothing feels rushed. This isn't food sitting under heat lamps waiting for someone to order it. It usually takes about twenty minutes because everything appears to be prepared fresh, and once you taste it, the wait makes perfect sense. Ordering is casual. You place your order at the counter, grab a table, and they bring your food out when it's ready. Every visit we've made, the owners have been genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive. You can tell they care about both the food and the people they're serving. They're also halal, and the care they put into every meal really shows. This may be a controversial opinion... I've had gyros from some of Cleveland's most talked-about places, including the famous ones at the West Side Market. This is the gyro I crave. My only complaint is that Khan Kitchen House isn't closer to my house. If it were, I'd probably be there every week. Pro tip: Eat the gyro while you're there, then order the Tandoori Chicken Tikka Kabob over pulao rice to take home. Future You will thank you.

All the usual suspects got mentioned, along with this store that I just had not frequented before. The poster also mentioned their baba was wonderful. I have tried baba everywhere and was always on the lookout for some super baba. Flash forward six months and I have had probably 50 containers of the baba (comes in the 8 oz or 16 oz plastic containers). I have been hooked on their shawarma (both chicken or beef) and, for my palate, feels it's the best that that I have been able to find (yes, I am aware of two places close to here that posters contend is the best shawarma around). What makes it it me is that they include all the add-ons - lettuce, tomato, onions, turnips, cucumber, sauce, hot sauce if requested. Love that overly stuffed shawarma that is filled with everything. I feel the falafel is probably one of the top 3 in northeastern Ohio. I have bought their chicken numerous times and find that is excellent. It is fresh - good white color, not dark yellow. Dates listed are very current. Smells fine. Tastes fine. The store has a nice selection of your arabic grocery staples like pitas from Jasmine, pickled jarred products, dates, oils, fresh produce, refrigerated cheeses, etc. Shocking to see that no one has left a review for them in the last 3 years. Well I am and I highly, highly recommend you go in to check them out. Employees are plentiful. Prices are compatible to the other markets on Lorain Road. Oddly they do not appear to sell stuffed grape leaves, garlic sauce, hot sauce or items like prepared fava beans with olive oil. But what they do have, and the quality of it, more than makes up for a few of these items that I buy elsewhere.

It seems more South American, Middle East and south Asian but no chinese or Japanese products. I mainly came for the random food stall in the back. There was just one man running the whole thing and the operation honestly didn't inspire a lot of confidence. There were flies around and the guy's COVID mask was on his chin instead of over his face, both seem risky when your meat is sitting out on a vertical broiler. My friend and I still got a schwarma to go though given the good reviews on yelp. We were able to walk around the small market twice before we got our food but overall it was pretty good. The chicken was well-seasoned and a little dry but there's a generous amount of garlicky hummus sauce and pickles that added the much needed moisture and acid to the wrap. Everything was well proportioned and the portion size was satisfying for only being $7. Overall I can see why people like this place, it's definitely a hidden, authentic, and tasty place to grab middle eastern food. If you're the type of person that's cool with food cart level sanitation, this place is a decent place to grab a bite.
