I used to not like Indian food when I was younger, so as an adult, I am trying different places to see what I like! The non-discrimination statement sign on the window made me so happy. When I went inside, one of the first things I noticed was how nice the place was! Everything looks really clean and pretty modern. I was greeted when I came in and the host was very kind. I ordered to-go so I didn't have time to stay long, but I look forward to returning in order to get the full experience. I ordered the samosas, cheese naan, and vegetable biryani. I wasn't the biggest fan of the biryani but I have never been much a fan of biryani, so I think I will try the paneer tikka masala or the navaratna kurma next. BUT THE SAMOSAS!!! Whew!!! Tastiest thing ever. Cheese naan?? Perfect. And all the sauces I got were delicious. You get two with the samosas and two with the biryani. I wouldn't be able to tell you what any of them were but I enjoyed every. single. one.

Got the Goat Biryani on a spicy level and it was amazing. Perfect tender meat and level of spice.read more

We are big fans, and owners of the Royal Enfield brand of motorcycle, which had a large display at the show, and was really the main reason why we drove to the show from Pittsburgh. After the show, we wanted to get something to eat, and I suggested Indian, so we did a Yelp search and the second listing to come up was called "Chennai Delicacy" . . . and believe it or not, the city of Chennai, in India, just so happens to be where the Royal Enfield motorcycles are produced, and where our bikes were made (Crazy coincidence huh?). So we felt like it was almost our destiny to eat here. I called them on the phone just to make sure they were open, and the owner told me, that they were not really a full-service restaurant, but they had some tables and we could eat there if we wanted. He also said . . . "We are not a fancy place, but the food is really good," and that is exactly what we found . . . a small take-out counter, that had food packaged to go, not very fancy, but the food was really good (it was heated up in plastic containers and served with plastic utensils and disposable plates). The owner was so nice when we arrived, he told us about how he makes everything homemade, and that everything is very healthy. He explained the dishes on the menu. My friends went with chicken dishes (Masala and Butter) and I wanted to try something a little bit different, so I asked about the "Moong Kootu," which happened to be a vegan dish, made from Lentils (Dal), and it was really good, a bit on the spicy side, but not super spicy. We also shared an order of bread (Methi flavored), and everyone liked their food. We talked to the owner, and he told us a little bit about his restaurant, how he does a lot of catering to hospitals and other businesses, and also where he was from in India, and I spoke a little bit to him in Hindi also (I am currently learning it). The food was delicious, I am giving four stars, because I am a big fan of the food, and I enjoyed talking to the owner. Cheers!

The door is wonky though...super heavy and opens weird. They have a lot of different options and premade bowls. For someone who is not very familiar with Indian food, this place makes it easy to customize and try out stuff. Nothing was too spicy or too overspiced, thankfully. Everything tasted relatively fresh but the portions are too small for the price. It's not like at Chipotle or Cilantro where they fill up your bowl. I almost never finish my portion in one sitting but I had no problem doing so here. I wish there were more veggie toppings and not just pickled ones. Scallions and cilantro would be great options to have. The mango lassi was delicious but so small. The inside is high ceilinged, spacious and has plenty of seating. The big group bench in the middle had such heavy and had awkward block seats. They were hard to get in and out of and were so uncomfortable.

The North Olmsted location has a weekend lunch buffet, which my wife and I love. Beachwood does not, BUT they have something better. I can't remember what they call it, but it's a combination of entrees, rice, bread and dessert for one price $17 or $18. You can get it as Vegetarian or non-vegetarian. It comes on a big round "bowl/dish" with smaller bowls inside (like a large masala dabba, if you know what that is). The portions are perfect. They may look small at first, but you will get full! Beachwood is a more upscale version of SP. N. Olmsted is also very nice, but a little more of a casual atmosphere. My wife and I love both of them. We just tried the Beachwood location last weekend, and it was sooooo delicious. The atmosphere is very nice, and the staff was great. Try it!!!

It's a small place, seating about 20 people. Despite its size, the food and service are fantastic. The staff is very friendly, and the food is incredibly good. The Ash soup was very flavorful and complex. I can't quite identify all the spices, but it was quite delicious. Mahicha Palau--the lamb shank was very tender. The meat just fell off the bone, served over a bed of rice with carrots and raisins. It was simply amazing. Qabuli Mix Platter--the chicken, shami, and Tika kabobs were amazing. The Tika was my least favorite, but the other two were far superior. The Shami (beef) and chicken kabobs were super tender and juicy. I couldn't stop eating them. The rice was so fragrant and flavorful, and each bite was perfect.

The man that was working was very friendly and came out to take our order and chat with us a bit - he was so nice and asked if we needed any help ordering. We shared everything deciding on the Saffron Mix Platter and the Mix Kabob Platter. The saffron mix platter comes with three skewers one chicken, one shami, and one tika - all of the meat skewers were very flavorful and delicious. It also comes with with which I think is called kabuli pulao - basmati rice, shredded carrots, and raisins and it was the perfect combination with the kabobs. It also came with a small salad. The mix kabob platter was similar but with a few small differences but equally as delicious. For dessert we shared a piece of baklava and carrot cake. I'm not typically a fan of baklava because it can be too sweet for me but theirs was delightful. I really enjoyed the carrot cake - i'm not sure what was in it besides carrots, but it was not a traditional cake and it was exceptional. By the time we were finished eating, the restaurant was full, and all of the tables were taken. This must be a popular spot because they have great service and delicious food! I definitely recommend.
