My wife and I stopped in for date night after I had confined her to try Indian food for the first time. The restaurant itself was tucked away and a little hard to find. It's was during covid so we had the place to ourselves. The decor was upscale, but the atmosphere was just a little off. The kitchen music was loud and competing with the dining room music that made it a bit unsettling. They did seem to be busy with a bunch of take out orders while we were there. Stopped by Bombay Grill today because I've been craving Indian food. I normally eat at an Indian takeout joint by my office, but since I haven't been to my office since St Patty's Day, I'm going on six months with no Indian food. That's not acceptable! I love Indian food, but my family doesn't. I went for a long bike ride today and after, I had plenty of time to stop and eat that which I love. Today, I was looking at the menu because they don't have a lunch buffet due to COVID-19. I saw Butter Chicken on the menu and I remembered how good it was at other Indian restaurants. I then wondered if they would make me Butter Lamb or Butter Goat. Well, I decided to order Butter Lamb and she said that was fine. I also ordered some garlic naan and a glass of ice water. She asked me if I wanted it mild, medium, or hot and since I've never been here before, I went with medium. A few minutes later, my meal was served in individual bowls. I mixed it all together and crammed it into the naan like a sammich. I don't know how to say this politely, but THAT SHIT WAS GOOD! I will definitely be back to try some Butter Goat. This was a helluva good meal and I want it again. The medium heat was just right for me. The meal was $26 with tip, which is damn pricey. But this is the closest Indian restaurant to my home, so that makes it one of my bestest buddies. I will return! read more

So I'm not going to be nearly as harsh in my review as most of the low-raters on here. This place is a very solid three for me. When I came in at the dead middle of dinner time, they were completely empty, save for the one woman waiting tables (mine) and the one guy in back cooking. I started my order with veggie pakora. They were fresh fried and hot; they came out with some flavorful chutneys. A good start. I ordered mattar paneer for my main dish. I always get mild at Indian restaurants. In this case it came out completely bland. No saltiness, no umami, no spice. Maybe a touch on the sweet side. It came with white basmati rice, adding nothing to the overall flavor where a little jazzing up could have gone a long way. I even sealed the deal with mango lassi, itself rather lackluster. So that's where I stand. I might also agree with other reviewers by saying this is actually one of the worst Indian restaurants I've been to. Strong advice - add some spice but keep the price. More flavor will make it actually worth it. In the meantime, I'll explore other Indian options in the area. read more

Ate here tonight, after work, for something different. Glad I chose to eat at Bombay Grill! Very flavorful and delicious homemade Indian food. Very fresh too! We began with naan bread, plain garlic and onion and ordered the mango chutney. This is the best mango chutney I've ever had. We liked the onion naan the best. There was a little mango chutney left, so I put it on some of the meat I had with my tandoori mixed grill. Yum!!!! Two of us, which includes me, ate the mixed grill. It was delicious! The different meats were prepared well and seasoned perfectly. The shrimp was my favorite. All of the different meats were really good too, but I would have preferred the chicken breast meat to be a little more moist. Don't get me wrong, this was still a freshly prepared dish that I enjoyed eating very much. The other person with us ordered buttered chicken with rice. I took a taste and this was an excellent dish. Perfect balance of chicken and sauce with the rice portion! Seasoned just right. The staff was super nice and very attentive. We were thanked for our business, and ended up taking home some leftovers. Good sized portions here. So happy I ate here tonight and am planning to go back soon. read more

It says on the menu, the Chicken Biryani is supposed to come with raisins, nuts and garnished cilantro. It had the garnished cilantro. But I didn't find any raisins or nuts like their menu said. May be I am being knit picky. The Chili chicken was okay. I thought Chili chicken was supposed to be spicy. Granted I ordered the mild version. But I wasn't expecting it to be sweet. I don't want to pass a judgement on the place right away. I ordered Chicken mancharían to go. May be, that will change my opinion. I will change my rating if I find the chicken Manchuria satisfying. Found this close to my hotel and love Indian food so wanted to give it a try. Was not disappointed. Great flavor and fresh food but I seriously would come here just for the breads. I stopped by here for dinner around 6:30pm. The restaurant was clean and nice, but there were about 4-6 customers. I got seated right the way, and the waiter was really nice and friendly. There're also tables outside of you want to sit outside and enjoy the weather. I ordered a lamb curry dish which came with white rice, which costed $18.00. I also ordered some garlic naan bread on the side, which costed about $3.50. While waiting, I counted about 5 customers came in to pick up their food. So I guess they do well with take-out. When the waiter brought out my food, the portions looked small but they actually filled me up. I was really disappointed because there wasn't much lamb in my curry. In addition, the curry was watery and didn't have much flavor. It was pretty plain, and the more I ate it, the more it tasted like tomato soup instead of curry. The white rice was normal. The garlic naan bread had cilantro and some garlic on it. It was decent, not the best garlic naan bread I've had. In conclusion, I'm a big fan of Indian food, and I've had Indian food from many different restaurants, but this one prob was the worst. The price of the lamb curry was a little high for its quality. I am BEYOND disappointed at this restaurant. I came to this place once before and was pleased with my experience. However, I came back to eat this morning at 11:30 (online it says they open at 11:30 and on the maps said 11am) and no one was there. I called/waited in the parking lot for 15 minutes and not a single person was around or answering the phones. There were also different #'s on the maps app and on google. Food was very good. I had a delicious butter chicken. On the downside, the restaurant was closed when we got there which was a half hour after they were supposed to open. As we were getting ready to leave the owners--I'm assuming--pulled into the parking lot and said they would open immediately. I was a little doubtful as they advertise a lunch buffet. Ordered the malai kofta and a mango lassi, both of which were a delight to the palate... a subtle taste and good consistency. We went there on a Saturday at 1 pm. There were very items and the quantity was even lesser. I don't understand why they had some chaat, it was horrible and the presentation was bad. I usually start with chaat, so I was disappointed already. The main course lacked flavor and the butter masala was too sweet. Biryani was not the aortic authentic indian biryani.
