The level of quality for both food and service is still great! I love crepes and the way they make it here is amazing - usually like to have it filled with Nutella and strawberries. They serve hot chocolate in a cute, little mason jar. It can get pretty packed here on the weekends, especially during brunch time, but that's normal for the area. There's free, public parking around the botany village area - so don't worry too much about that. However, it will get very crowded. read more

This cafe is amazeballs. A few weeks ago I was looking for a place to work remotely with free wifi for the day and stumbled across Bubamara on the yelposphere. It isn't exactly meant to be a work coffee shop but that didn't stop gf and I from taking over a corner table for the day. It never really got super busy so we never felt like a nuissance. The cafe has a warm atmosphere with old photos and little fixtures on the walls gving a home-y vibe. The food here is incredible. I have been extremely delighted with their crepes which aren't your traditional french style as these are smothered in cheese. Like absolutely smothered. Definitely get the breakfast crepe. It is sooo good. Another winner is the open faced grilled chicken on multigrain. It is served on a wooden slab and engulfed by mozzarella. The pesto chicken wrap is another winner. Lastly, save room for dessert because that baklava is money ... honey. read more

We tried the cheese Burek and meat burek, they were both flaky and delicious but the meat was our favorite. Found this place thanks to some friends who searched on yelp. Small place with extra seating in the back and outside on nice days. We had the steak sandwich with the pesto sauce D-licious and their version of a croissant like pizza with spinach and cheese. It was big enough for two because we ended up splitting both our meals. The crust was thin and flaky and the spinach was pretty good. They also have a large selection of desserts and coffee. I think I picked one of each dessert to go just to try them. My brother took me here for my birthday brunch, and I must say it was quite an experience. They have so much room in the restaurant which includes multiple dining areas and even a backyard. I ordered a strawberry, banana, and nutella crepe. I really enjoyed the perfect ratio of crepe to fruit. My brother got the vegetarian omlete which came with toast. I tried some and it was very good and flavorful. He also ordered a mix of freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice. I really like the combination and it was indeed fresh. My favorite thing was the burek. We ordered the spinach and feta stuffed one. It was surely one of the most delicious things that I have tried. The flavoring was so unique and absolutely amazing. I would 100% recommend that if you don't know what to order. I still dream about it. I totally loved this place, not only is it cute and cozy but it is an authentic place. As I have mentioned before, my fiancé is Albanian, so we came to get some burek. And OMG I'm so happy we did! This is probably one of the best bureks I've had and that's including going to Staten Island for them. The service was great, our waiter was very attentive and very nice. The food came out fast. And what we loved is that they had different varieties of burek to try. Many places make the spinach, potato, cheese, meat,etc but it's hard to get anything besides meat and cheese in our area from my experience. I had the potato which was amazing I love the flavor, came with white onions cook in with the potatoes. We had of course the meat and cheese and we tried a different one never seen before chicken pizza. The chicken pizza was also very nice and savory. The yogurt was also good. And we had homemade lemonade and for dessert strawberry, banana, and Nutella crepes!! Everything was amazing! And after everything we spent under 40$ and had to take home! Old school historical Clifton neighborhood this nicely restored building (tin ceiling, heavy wooden beams) has three seating areas (out front dining room, second side dining room and outdoor garden seating!) very nice homemade Burek (have never had previously) a baked stuffed ring made of phyllo dough filled with meat and cheese and other tasty fillings. We also ordered a Montenegro Balkan version of French toast with fresh berries, fresh OJ, and crepes! Light texture not greasy, very fresh. Pretty sure we met the owner (Alex?) who proudly took us on a tour of his very special place. Next time we hope to bring a group and sit in the back outside (weather permitting). I've been to Cafe Bubamara several times since then, enjoying a consistently great experience. If you like burek - this is the place to go. If you don't know what burek is... well, go and find out. :) Burek is a baked pastry made of thin flaky dough (phyllo.) It's traditionally filled with feta cheese, but it can also be made with many different fillings (spinach, mushrooms, ham, etc.) Burek is their specialty at Cafe Bubamara. My favorite is the pizza burek prepared with ham. I like the decor. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly. The owner seems great. The tables are small and the place can feel cramped when there are a lot of people there. But the atmosphere is authentic and lovely overall. The Nutella and fruit waffles were great. It was my first time trying cheese Burek and it was not bad. Very flaky!
